Issue #14

     A black limo pulled up to the hospital and the press turned and started taking pictures as the bodyguards got out to open the woman’s door and shielded her from the press as she entered the hospital. The people with cameras and notepads were hungry for answers and stories because of the fact that Sudachi was at the hospital and this mysterious woman appears making the press very curious about what was going on. The woman had a walk that was filled with confidence almost like she was a goddess or some kind of ruler. She wore red lipstick which was a hard miss and she could turn heads instantly just by walking through. Stacy and Sudachi heard men whistling and they decided to peek around the corner to see who was coming through the two of them both got wide-eyed seeing who it was. “Mayor Sudachi, did Nikki tell you that she was coming today?” Stacy asked curiously about why Martin’s older sister Nikki Parker was in Zone City. Sudachi shook his head because he hasn’t talked to her since Martin took over the company a couple of years ago.

Nikki turned to look at Stacy and Mayor Sudachi and her face lit up with a smile. “Stacy, Mayor Sudachi it’s been way too long since I’ve seen you. Look at you Stacy you’ve grown up and grown out of your nerdy girl phase. Mr. Sudachi I see you still have control of the city as usual,” Nikki said making the both of them turn red in embarrassment. Nikki looked around trying to see if she can find Martin. “So where’s little brother let me guess he and dad have another failing out again. Sometimes Martin needs to swallow his pride and be here because our father is in a lot of danger because if he told me then he told him too,” Nikki said. Stacy rose an eyebrow because she doesn’t know what she was talking about. Nikki and Mister Parker had phone calls moments before Mister Parker was rushed to the hospital about him and the family.

“Nikki, if you don’t mind me asking what phone calls did you and Mister Parker have Mister Parker and Martin didn’t have any interaction before Mister Parker was rushed to the hospital,” Stacy said as Sudachi looked over at Nikki who was thinking of a way to put it into words without it sounding too devastating. “Well, I will tell you that dad was talking about a lot of things like the future of the company because he’s planning to retire from the company permanently but Martin had been missing meetings left and right and the two of them been having back to back falling outs so he called me out here to stay for a while before I have to go to Belseria for a modeling gig that got,” Nikki explained as Stacy looked devastated because she and Martin didn’t know that Mister Parker’s health was declining as fast as it was. “This is just shocking to me that Parker is going through so much like this but it’s as I said he’s tough it’s gonna take a lot more to keep that man down and you can quote me on it,” Sudachi said as one of his men in suits came over and whispered in his ear that was time to go to the meeting. Sudachi nodded giving both of the girls a hug. “Keep ya heads up okay?” he asked as both Stacy and Nikki nodded. Sudachi left the building so he could be on his way to the meeting.

Usagi continued running to where he was near the city limits. He took a couple of deep breaths because, for the one month that he was a vigilante, it was gonna be the first time he went up against a super-powered human he was worried because he didn’t teach himself how to deal with powers if he ran into a person who would be considered super-powered. Usagi looked at the scenery just thinking this was the first time he ever reached the city limits of Zone and then he turned his focus to the dirt road on his right to where Old Parker Center was located but near the midpoint, he saw a cop car blocking the area. Usagi thought to himself about how could he pass without attracting attention. He scratched his head for a moment and decided to use the bushes as his cover space.

He started on the path by using the bushes as his guide. Captain Hart had guns drawn on Bloodmaker who had a devious smirk on his face. “You plate of bacon really think you’re effective against me!?” he shouted as he launched a blue bloody blade killing half the cops by slicing them to pieces. Captain Dak Hart stood up. “Look calm down, just give up now or we’re gonna have to shoot you down because there’s nothing stopping me from blowing your head off after what you just did to a couple of rookie cops you son of a b*tch!” he said in a calming but angry tone as Bloodmaker started laughing as he was just calm. Bloodmaker lifts one of the police cars and tossed it in the direction of Captain Hart. Usagi jumped up using his bloody arrows to slice the car up so it didn’t kill anyone. Usagi’s face was hidden by the hood of his jacket and his hat.

Bloodmaker smirked and ran inside the old Parker Center. “Thanks, Bio-Stream,” he said. Usagi nodded. “I’m heading inside I got this just wait out here,” Usagi said trying to disguise his voice to sound older than he was. “Are you sure because e just killed a bunch of cops,” Captain Hart looked at him. “This is something I gotta do,” Usagi said as he went inside the old Parker Center. Captain Hart looked at his men. “Let’s pull back Bio-Stream got this,” he said as the reactions were mixed from people who thought it was refreshing because they weren’t gonna die and some of the cops thought they should be taking down Bloodmaker because it’s their job as cops but they knew they couldn’t argue with the police captain.

Usagi looked around seeing how run down the place looked as heard loud noises as he walked further into the building. He glared activating his powers with his eyes turning red. “BLOODMAKER! Come out now!” Usagi shouted. A blue bloody blade came out from the right side of the wall making Usagi jump back quickly. He looked as another one appeared from the ceiling making him dodge and create bloody arrows to counter them and use them to block the attacks. Usagi gritted his teeth because he didn’t know Bloodmaker was gonna be this adept with his powers. Bloodmaker smirked and he came running through the wall knocking Usagi into a supply room where Usagi through a punch to the face to push him back.

Bloodmaker stopped holding his jaw laughing. “Haha! You know I’ve heard about you through the news Bio-Stream but since you got in my business I’m gonna make sure you make the news again but this time it will be in memorial,” Bloodmaker said as his eyes turned blue activating his power.
