Chapter 7 - Elysia the archer

Elysia Samuel, a senior at Borneo High School aged 17. A student of both academics and sports, she is very active. As well as being a great student, she's also a great leader. A prominent military general's daughter, she comes from a family of military generals. She also enjoys being a warrior. Her interests include archery, fencing, martial arts, and the study of the arts of war. She has short hair and is slightly muscular for a girl. Although Randy is a little brother to her, she is in love with him for more than just a little brother relationship. Any bully that bullied Randy, she returned them back in interest against them.

A decade ago, Elysia was only 7 years old when she moved in to a new home in Penampang. Her father had been posted to a military base in Lok Kawi, where she met Randy, who was only 5 years old. Playing on the grass, the boy started to make music with grass. “Hey!” she called out. His eyes were fixed on the grass, he didn't reply. As she got more frustrated, she tried talking to him again. Hey, what's up? Randy doesn't seem like the kind to socialize with other people. Suddenly, he walked up to Elysia and offered her some grass. "Here, play with the grass," Randy said. Elysia was taken aback. She had never seen anyone like her before. She accepted the grass from him and started playing with him. As a result of this, they have formed a friendship. Every day Randy was homeschooled, whether he was taught by his uncle or someone else. It is always Elysia who comes to play with him every day. Slowly, Randy began to get along with her, as did his uncle.

"Hey Ely...just be a good friend with Randy, he's quite a loner" Elysia asked his uncle "where's his mom and dad?" His uncle left with a sad smile and explained Randy was an orphan, his parents had left him. Elysia felt something about Randy, and she approached him who was reading only books, but she was fascinated by what he was reading. Occasionally, he reads comic books from Japan and America, as well as books on history and mythology. In some cases, she will catch balls or play soccer with Randy, pulling him out of his room. Seeing that he is lonely, Elysia claimed Randy was her little brother for her to care for. However, an incident changed her heart more profoundly than any relationship ever could.

One day, Randy was waiting for Elysia to return from school when she didn't show up. Randy knocked on her mother's door, who was worried about Elysia's return. "Do you know what school she attends?" Randy asked her mother. She replied "it's just around the corner." Randy nodded at her mother and headed straight to school. As he walked, he saw a black van with Elysia fighting inside. In a silent manner, Randy followed the van. He managed to get closer to the van and saw two men carrying Elysia away. Despite Randy's efforts, the police didn't believe the story he told them. After that, he resolves the issue on his own. Located not far from where they live, the van parks inside an old house. As he snuck inside, he awaited the chance to rescue Elysia. As soon as he saw the two men calling someone, he slowly entered the house and headed to a room where he found the girl unconcious, carrying her on his back and slowly leaving the house. It was not long after that that the two men became panicked as to where Elysia would be. One of them started asking the other men "hey, where is she? " and the other men started arguing with each other, "we drugged her enough to put her to sleep!" He went into hiding in a ditch that was deep enough so that they could stay hidden for hours. When one of them looked around at their hiding place, Randy took his slingshot and a sharp rock, and he shot the other man in the head and he went unconscious. He forgot that this is a dangerous situation that he is in. Now he is thinking whether is it safe to be here, one of the men saw him and he took a shot but he dodge it, he held a gun and shouted at Randy “hey get back here!!” Randy hid among the trash inside the ditch, so they could not seen Elysia. He run away from the hiding place and distract the men. He then heard a shot, but he took his sling shot and hit his head but it only bleed his head “that hurts brat!!” Randy then took a hiding and take the shot, but the guy catch the rock. He instantly kick him and Randy was thrown towards the bush, Randy then use the bushes to hide himself while the guy started a shooting spree. “Just get out from there!! If you don’t want to die!!” He found a large rock and when the guy turn around at the back, he jumps and hit the guys head beating the guys head non stop until he went unconscious. But he realise that Randy was shot at his side stomach, he saw his hand was bleeding, he head towards Elysia and did not seen the guy that he took down earlier. He was pull by the man and thrown him off the ground.

“Bastard!! That hurts you know!!” He pull is knife, Randy was already start to slowly his vision started to blur, but he saw that knife and dodge it, he kick the guys ball and he went down in pain, but at the same time he took the knife and stab the guy at the chest where the heart is. That was Randy's first time taking the life of someone, during the commotion, he realized he had been injured during the fight, he was actually punctured by a knife that he had not seen. The experience was like a shockwave of realization that Randy had walked into a situation he was not prepared for. When the police arrived looking for Elysia, Randy slowly walked towards them and told them she was safe, he hid her in a ditch below. "Hey kid, you're hurt!" Randy fainted from his injuries, while the police carried the two kids to the hospital. As soon as he awoke, he saw his uncle beside him, he was in the hospital wards, his uncle complained that he was reckless and irresponsible for getting involved in such a dangerous situation. His uncle was likely expressing concern for Randy's safety and warning him that his actions could have had serious consequences. He was likely also trying to instill a sense of caution in him so that he wouldn't make the same mistake in the future. "Though you seem to have potential, maybe we should take a trip together" his uncle suddenly brought him out from the ward. Elysia is safe, Randy learns from his uncle. While leaving the hospital, his uncle suggested it might be a good idea for them not to know what really happened. In the ward, Elysia awoke to see her family and the news report surrounding her. She was asked to refrain from talking about the incident by her father. After she was bombarded with journalist questions, her father kicked them out. Her father explained that Randy saved her, but his uncle did not want them to know because Randy killed someone. In order to cover things up, it is believed they created a story about them (kidnappers) fighting among themselves.

According to her father, he was targeted for a project that involved purchasing military equipment from a suspicious company. A politician tried to gain the project, but he rejected it, using Elysia as leverage. However, Randy had to move out of the house where they lived after the incident was managed and settled. In Elysia's mind, she had one thing in mind: she is already in debt to him and has deep feelings for him. Despite her attempts to push Randy's whereabouts, his uncle travels around the world, and the house is just another place for them to stay. Elysia knows that Randy is avoiding her and is hurt by his silence. She is determined to find a way to contact him and tell him her feelings. She is determined to fight for her happiness and hope Randy will feel the same way. Throughout the years, they didn't return, until Randy returned home as a teenager when he was in Borneo High School six years later. When Elysia met him, he didn't recognize her, and his uncle wasn't anywhere to be found. The only time she wanted to see him at the house, he didn't want to see her. Until one day, when his uncle returned.

Seeing Elysia, he smiled back at her saying, "Elysia, that tomboyish look of yours never changes!"

She was delighted that Randy's uncle remembered her, then asked Randy "Where is Randy?" Randy's uncle waved his hand and said, "He always sits in his room watching the computer and never leaves it."

"Let me handle that!" Elysia smiled at him and persuaded him. In the room, Randy was actually watching a porn video and shouting at his uncle, "Stupid uncle! What the hell are you doing here with a girl?! "Elysia was really upset with Randy, "for six years we never met and now we are here together!" She hit Randy with a drop kick and uppercut, knocking him off the pornography. Randy hit the ground with a thud and yelled, "What the $@^& is going on?!" Elysia said, "Randy, it's time for you to grow up. I'm here to help you." Randy was stunned and couldn't believe what had just happened. Elysia smiled and said, "It's time for you to get your life back on track." Randy was speechless, and just lay there on the ground, his head spinning like a top - with Elysia's foot still in his face! Suddenly, his uncle started to cry for him after only applauding for him. "That's my boy..." Randy was furious and said, "F@$k off!" His uncle replied to her, “Well, he's back and now enrolled in your school, so just leave him alone, okay?” Elysia wondered why, and his uncle explained he wanted Randy to get used to people before relying on her, even though he had been bullied. “Helping him will not make him stronger” she was reluctant to agreed with this as on the first day, Randy as usual did not make any contacts with anyone as if he wanted to be invisible by himself. The first time Elysia saw someone bullying Randy, she couldn't openly defend him, but after the bully leaves Randy, she warns them not to bully him again.

In the present time, Randy was rescuing a teacher when Kuzman accidentally teleported him. Everyone was shocked by this, and Elysia was distraught when Kuzman decided he was going to assess her. An instant later, she grabbed a knife and grabbed his throat with it. Everyone was taken aback by her unexpected action. Elysia demanded an explanation for his actions “You bastard!! How could you did that to Randy!!!!” Everyone was taken by surprised and one of the teachers that was saved by Randy pull her away

“Its okay!! I’m safe!!” Elysia instantly punch the teacher

“Sonava!! Is this what a teacher suppose to be!!?” Elysia was really upset about it to the point one of the knights tried to apprehend her, she instantly beaten them down. This impressed Kuzman and he instantly chanted a spell at her by saying “mesadh!” Kuzman was stunned by her assessment and said “incredible that she is a hunter saint, that is very rare” After that the king stood in front of Kuzman saying “I apologize deeply for this incident...Kuzman find the boy just for her sake” Kuzman then offer her a bow but she instantly shot at Kuzman and the king. “Just don’t play me for chums! When Elysia exits the palace, Kuzman offers her a place to stay. “I'm sorry that we got off to a bad start, but let me offer you a place near the palace” In response, Elysia pulled out a knife at him and warned him that “the minute Randy is teleported from this place, I don’t trust anybody... I’ll find my own place.” After leaving the palace, Kuzman threw her a bag of gold coins, saying, “This is compensation for the damages that have occurred, so take it, the spell I have conjured will take some time to be reviewed.” Elysia pointed at Kuzman with a middle finger and told him, “Fuck off...” She left Kuzman behind and left the castle, making her way to an alleyway where she knelt down sobbing and promised herself, "I promise, I will find you just like you found me before." She was upset that Randy had vanished. A guy approached her and asked, “hey...you okay?Elysia hide her face and asked him to leave her alone... The guy introduced himself, “I’m Oswald, and I’m in a different class, but we’re in the same batch.” Oswald said to Elysia, “hey, since we’re here, why don’t we start somewhere from all this crazy stuff?” A lightbulb suddenly struck Elysia and she decided to become an adventurer to find Randy. “There must be a guild somewhere around here!” So they embarked on an adventure together in search of Randy.

Meanwhile, Elysia was walking back to her house when Luna approached her only with a knife; Elysia warned Luna that she did not trust people, especially you, so she mustered her courage to talk to her. Luna said to Elysia, "I have an offer for you...to you" as she reached for Luna's throat with her knife. In response, Elysia replied, “Make it quick. I don’t trust people like you.” Luna instantly replied, “About the boy...his name is Randy, right? Luna saw a yandere expression in Elysia's eyes and face. “What is your relationship with Randy?” Luna is a bit frightened with her, but she wants to act on her fears. In response to her, Luna replied, "because...I talk to him...", immediately Luna was lifted by Elysia's strength, she expressed her strength, "you are strong...". In response, she answered, "I owe Randy for my life...I'm not sure how you feel about that". Luna then explains that she contacted Randy and he is safe. In an instant, Elysia went from being a raging woman to a calm one She is relieved to see that Randy is safe and Luna is grateful for Randy's help. Luna explain that as long he hold that magical jewels, she could teleport to his place at anytime. As Elysia replied, "I'm listening to your proposal right now, princess..." Luna said to her, "I need your help as soon as possible because I cannot leave the palace and I had to remain with Randy unnoticed." Elysia replied, but she was envyful of her. "Could you teleport me too?" Luna explained that the jewel only responds to her.

Elysia was disappointed, but she still agreed to help in Luna's offer. She thanked her and promised to repay her kindness. In the event that anything were to happen to me, you would have to rescue me while I look for a way to teleport us together with Randy," Luna explained to Elysia. "Fine, that'll do," Elysia said. As Luna explained how she was suspicious of her mentor and father because of their treatment of Elysia's friends in the palace, Elysia stomped her foot and said, "Those bastards aren't my friends." Luna realizes that she is taking a risk by taking her part of the equation but now she needs allies. Elysia decides to trust Luna , Luna is suprised and agrees to join forces. Luna explained to Elysia "Randy is stronger than all of us, but he rarely uses it and he usually uses his wit rather than strength. Whenever I tried to challenge him, he always found a way not to use it. He has that potential to beat everyone in that palace including Raul.” Elysia said to Luna “very well then I will wait for the opportunity then” Luna nodded approvingly in reply, trusting Elysia's judgement.
