Chapter 14:

Chapter 14. The Tea

River Of Anew: Farming In Another World

"You have gained 1 Experience Point and 1 Point."

The following day, after that strange Green Moon phenomenon, Foin opened his eyes to see the well-known notification. Upon seeing it, he realised and understood that the reward he got the day before was indeed a seed, just as he believed. He tried to sit up to look at the plant, but a strange pain prevented him from moving.

Much to his shock, his injured leg was the least part of his body which hurt. He could barely move due to having sore muscles for some reason. Every movement he did was quite painful.

"Don't tell me this is the result of yesterday's exercise?! Those handmovements?! Doing anything else would have been more challenging!"

He growled as he finally managed to push himself up; before his eyes was his now-massive garden full of potatoes and peppers. The one paper plant, which was still growing due to being planted only the day before, was somewhat different. It seemed as if it had grown significantly less than it should have as it barely bore any leaves yet, let alone flowers or products. However, it had a stunning dark green colour.

As for the plat that he had planted yesterday, it barely even started growing; only a single leaf was above the ground, which was quite small and, for some odd reason, was grey.

After he had seen his garden, he slowly made his way over to the bottle of water in which he had put the Élion flowers. He moved extremely slowly, as every sudden movement was a painful experience. When he finally got to the bottle, he quickly grabbed it.

The colour of the water had been slightly different. Now, although it was still somewhat transparent, it had a light red colour, and as soon as Foin took off its cap, he could smell its sweetness. His mouth instantly started watering as soon as he smelled it, so without hesitation, he quickly chugged down the entire bottle.

He was drinking at such a speed that he almost swallowed the flowers he had put into it previously. Once, however, he was done, he put the cap back onto the bottle and then looked around, not knowing what to do next.

Due to his sore muscles, he was demotivated to do anything. And since he was hungry, he looked back at his pile of pepper, which, much to his annoyance, had shrunken. The ant had already eaten its food, and it started eating Foin's food as well. The worst thing was that the ant ate the seeds as well.

"Well, at least it's not eating me..."

He mumbled as he slowly proceeded over to his peppers. As he was crawling at a slow pace, he felt that her body started getting relaxed, and the muscle pain he felt grew weaker and weaker; even the pain in his leg dissipated. As a result, he quickly stood up; he was bewildered; a few minutes ago, he could barely exist; now, not only did the pain disappear, but he even felt a bit reinvigorated.

"This flower is valuable! I must plant more just to make sure that I have enough should anything come up! "

He quickly walked over to his peppers and started eating. Although he didn't notice it at first, he was so hungry that he ate every last bit of paper he had and even ate the potatoes he had cooked the day before. It was something he thought was impossible. He thought he could eat only a few at most, but for some reason, he ate more than he could ever eat, and on top of that, he was still slightly hungry.

"What is going on? Is it part of the system's doing? Or was it the tea's effect? Or could it be that it is due to those tiny movements?! I don't understand it.... But either way, it is another reason why I should expand even more..."

Foin couldn't understand the reason he was so hungry, but seeing that his now expanded farm was ready to be harvested, he didn't bother with it any longer. He quickly planted the seeds in one single hole since he had nowhere else to put them, and seeing the previous plant with more seeds, he was curious. He presumed that maybe by using more seeds, a higher-quality plant would grow later.

This time, he had planted more than a hundred seeds into a single plant, although in reality, it would work differently, and instead of a single plant, many would grow; this was a different world,d and seeing how the previous one also had a single plant, he was confident.

Once that large number of seeds were planted, Foin filled the plastic bottle with water and once again put a few Élion flowers in it, but this time he deliberately put more in it. It was another one of his experiments.

Once it was prepared, he went ahead and started harvesting the peppers. He collected the harvested product in one large pile near his fireplace. And just like he previously did, the empty plants were all pulled out and then thrown into the pile. And as he was working diligently, a new notification popped up before his eyes.

"Congratulations! Pepper has levelled up. Required Experience Points increased! The possibility of evolution has increased!"

Foin was surprised to see the message; however, he was so focused on farming that although he read it, he didn't stop harvesting. And soon, another one popped up.

"Congratulations! Appraiser has levelled up. Required Experience Points increased! Capabilities have been increased!"

The sudden level-up of two things had enough impact on him for him to stop harvesting and see his stats. He was not expecting his one and only skill to level up so soon, but it was a piece of warm news to see. He was extremely curious to see what it was capable of after levelling up.

As he looked through his menu, he learned that his new required Experience Points to level up was 225. As for Pepper and Apraiser, they both needed 150. Also, he could see that he only needed to harvest seven more potatoes for it to level up.
