Shoveling half-conscious punks off the cart, the aching bodies of the fighting riders got the privilege of stepping off at long last. <You better discipline these jerks.> Tala told the young operator before taking off with everybody else. Nobody wanted to see that coaster ever again.

“Thanks, you guys…” Nate said to his co-riders. “I didn’t think something like that would happen.”

“Jesus. After that I just wanna call Cheryl and call it a day.” Frankie kicked a pebble on their way out of the queue.

“Oh… oh yeah?” Katie was still panting. Her clothes were torn and her face was sweaty, but she looked happy- not just happier than she’d been during the fight, but more than she was even stepping on the death machine to begin with.

“What’s up…?” Her sister almost laughed looking at how derangedly jovial the girl was. “Still on the adrenaline?”

“Maybe. I, um… no. It’s something else I’m feeling. Like… I’ve found something I hadn’t noticed I’d lost.”

“Uh-oh.” Tara chuckled, wiping the blood off all four of her interchangeable knuckles. “Katie’s going off the rails.”

“We can always take a break if you’re upset, Kate.” Comforted Frankie in advance. “Or- you know, just rent out a few beds and black out for the night. You wanna black out for the night? I could… I could stand to just black out for the night.” The poor tourist heaved.

“No. Actually, I feel like I’m just getting started.”

Genkei watched in confusion as the American airplane-ran around the group, arms extended, before climbing atop the nearest statue of an obscure Rogue character and pretending to hold his sword.

“I don’t know what’s been with me lately!” She declared, like it was an announcement. “I thought, where’s that old confident Katie… where’s that dreamer, that hopeful optimist? Well, I don’t know where she went, but I’ve got her back now!” She jumped down from the platform, impacting on the ground with her fist. “I’ve gotta take back my honor- and rematch Sejun Shori!”
