New Year's eve 2016

New Year's eve arrived shortly after. This time, the restaurant was open and hosting an extravagant New Years eve party. Nearly all the regulars had elected to celebrate New Years there, meaning the place was packed.

"I get to stay up late tonight!" Madoka cheered as she devoured a plate of crepes.

"Just this one night," Harumi smiled.

"It's way more fun here than at the mansion," Madoka smiled.

"Glad to hear it," Rika grinned.

"Oh? Just new years headbands today?" Harumi asked.

"Hey, I don't have an erotic out fit for EVERY holiday," Rika laughed.

                                                                            ...

"Damn, your place is packed. I should have stayed open," Helga grumbled.

"Nah, then you wouldn't have been able to come spend the night with me," Mimi smiled.

"Reminds me of the old days. Now when will I find you, Katrina," Eluf thought as he sat and gazed at the night sky.

                                                                          ...

"Don't order too much girls!" Hitomi pleaded as Yuni and the triplets sat down.

"So your father's in America?" Itsuki asked.

"Yes, my husband rarely gets time to come home."

"My own father is in America."

                                                                               ...

In America, a crazed Makihara pulled a cart of cotton candy through the streets of New York.

"Must I serve the rabble cotton slop on such a day!?" Makihara fumed as the crowds waiting for the Times Square ball to drop frantically tried to buy some of his cotton candy.

"*Sigh* Well, maybe he'll at least look back fondly on this memory. I won't be president come next month, and I doubt my successor will be as kind to you as I am considering the bad beef you two have. But hey, at least I got you to Times Square for new years eve. Better make it up to me by cooking a nice dish in a year," Barney Obaba smiled as he sat with his cougar harem on a terrace overlooking Times Square.

In Britain, Reika met with a woman in a secluded countryside cottage.

"It's nice to see you. I have some theories I'd like to discuss in person," Reika stated.

She was not wearing a disguise, and her hair had grown back about a millimeter or two. The woman she was talking to had bleached blond hair and was clad in jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie. Most notable about the woman was the strong look she had in her pink eyes.

"I take it you were sent here in order to get you out of Japan?" the woman asked.

"Correct. Though I took care of said original assignment quite nicely. Though I'll head back as soon as my hair grows back to where it was before."

"Perfect, I'm actually glad we were able to meet up. I have much to discuss with you."

Back in Japan, Mutsumi sighed as she sat with Bianka and Mochi at the restaurant.

"You don't need to feel guilty," Mochi stated.

"But your mother's been held in maximum confinement for months now," Mutsumi sighed.

"I suspect they are confining her morso so that she cannot communicate with us. Otherwise, my requests to at least have a conversation with her would have been granted."

"They haven't even technically convicted her either. Though considering how the corrupt Takedas control the judiciary, they'd probably charge her in seconds without a trial and call it a day," Bianka growled.

                                                                           ...

On the stage, Onrai and his band played while Maju prepared her tricks.

"*Sigh* Of all the people to be here, why Madoka?" she groaned.

"You alright?" Matcha asked.

"Just nervous. There's a little girl here who could make me look like a fool if I'm not careful," Maju replied.

"Madoka?"

Maju responded with a dejected groan.

"Er, just try not to focus on escape tricks."

"That girl is a magician's worst nightmare though. She can see through all the secrets. When she stopped by my magic shop, she could identify the secret to EVERY trick. Worst of all, she wants to be a magician."

"What's bad about that?"

"She'll easily surpass us all."

                                                                              ...

Emeri sighed as she watched her family do squats.

"Well, they certainly... stay in shape," Benihime nervously chuckled.

"What's wrong with working out? They aren't in the way," Zuina stated.

"I just sensed something. Rika's gonna suggest we add a gym," Itsuki groaned.

"GYM!!!" the three jocks shouted with joy.

"We'll happily help build," Koki grinned as he flexed.

"We'll even help with the trainin," Eika smiled.

Both Koki and Eika's necks had multiple gold medals hanging around them.

"They really won big at Rio," Eriza smiled.

"More attention," Emeri groaned as she hid herself in her hoodie and pulled out her phone.

                                                                               ...

"So you're becomin a teacher!?" Waki gasped.

"They finally let me go. Didn't want to renew me. Well, I'm probably done with killing anyway," Wakaha sighed.

"So gonna get a mohawk?"

"No. I may have been a killer, though I was a prefect in my short time in highschool before I was... recruited. I also hate punk music."

"But you'd look good."

"No, now bring me my food already. Father already got his meal."

"Fine, I'll go see if Masaru's done cookin it."

                                                                            ...

As the midnight hour grew closer, Everyone gathered to watch the countdown.

"10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!"

Rika and Masaru smiled at each other as fireworks lit up the skies.

"Don't think about the bad. Think about all the good that will come," Masaru smiled as he kissed Rika.
