Chapter 16:

Shopping with Saturn and little Wumi

Saga of Saturn: Benevolent Processor

"Saturn, as much as it sounds tempting, I need to go back to my nation and beat that butler to a plum," Lumi explained her situation. She paused as she felt a light tug on her sleeve. Looking to her right, there stood Miho, her eyes wide open and shining.

"Can I go to the arcade with Auntie Saturn?"

"AUNTIE!?" Lumi froze in disbelief. She dropped to the floor and began intensely cleaning her ears.

"Hey, Miho, could you repeat yourself?"

"Can I go with Auntie—"

"Waaaahaha." She dropped back down and continued her excessive cleaning.

"Wumi, I'm supposed to be the more over-the-top character, you know! You're taking my spotlight." Lumi rose back to her feet, realizing how stupid she looked, and allowed Miho to stay.

"Just so you know, if anything happens to her, I will make your sister the 7th processor," Lumi's tone dropped ominously, her eyes drilling into Saturn's soul.

"Gotcha," Saturn replied, trying to swallow down the lump in her throat. With that, Lumi bid her farewells and left Plansanturia for her own. The quad transformed back into a trio, with a mini Lumi in place of the Big Lumi.

"Ooki doki, everynyan! Ready for some epic gaming action?" Saturn shouted with contagious energy, her fists clenched, and she even did a little bounce to match Miho's height. The enthusiasm spread, infecting even the most gloomy bystanders. Miho, with her stoic face, slowly raised her fists to her chest and nodded, setting off an internal burst of joy in Saturn's heart.

"Then, let's roll!" Saturn's eyes widened, shining with excitement. She grabbed Miho's soft arm, yanking her into the air as they dashed out of the room and down to the elevator.

"Saturn, wait up! How could you leave your sister behind?" Plutonia cried out, clumsily chasing after.

"Saturn."

"What's up, mini Wum?" she responded, curiosity in her voice. The trio was now strolling through the bustling and cramped streets of Plansanturia. Neon lights glistened everywhere, and holograms filled the streets, making it challenging to distinguish reality from virtuality.

"I forgot my allowance when you kidnapped me out of the room. Can we go back?" Miho's soft voice barely made it through the bustling stores and blaring music.

"Don't worry about that, little Wum." Saturn spun around and winked at Plutonia. "My dear sis, could you maybe spare your poor little sister some change?"

Plutonia sighed heavily and waved for the two of them to move off the crowded sidewalk. "You know, giving you money now means less allowance next week." She reached into her bag, took out five one-thousand-yen notes, and handed them over to Saturn, who immediately offered them to Miho and lightly patted her head.

"You also have an allowance, Saturn?" Miho asked.

"Yup, because I spend way too much every week."

"So, you are self-aware of it," Plutonia butted in with frustration. Saturn swiftly grabbed Miho's hand and started their escape, weaving through crowds and machines, quickly losing sight of Plutonia. Suddenly, she came to an abrupt stop, and Miho slammed into her back.

"Miho, Miho!" Saturn turned to her and grabbed her shoulders. Miho stopped and stared as a slight sliver of worry began to build up within her. What's with the sudden stop? A sudden change of expression? She thought to herself.

"Have you ever tried Purin?" Saturn asked with a straight and serious expression.

"No."

Saturn gasped at the response and fell to her knees. She looked at Miho with tears filling up in her eyes and slurred out a sentence.

"You poor thing. What is big Wum doing to you over there?"

"We are eating it now. And don't worry; this one is on me." They walked inside and settled at a table in the far-right corner of the cakery.

"Two special puddings, please," Saturn called out to the waiter, and they immediately went to work. It was a small place with only a few tables for people to sit, but every single restaurant or store that allows customers to sit by law is required to have one table spare just for the processor to come in at any time. A law created centuries ago by Venusia.

Minutes later, the waiter arrived with two small plates of the pudding dessert Saturn had a breakdown over.

"Miho, you go first," she urged, staring intently as Miho took her first bite.

"And?"

Miho's expression lit up, and with a grin, she looked at Saturn.

"Delicious." She answered as she eagerly took another bite. Saturn watched with a smile as she chowed down on the pudding. From behind, a tired and breathy voice called out.

"Saturn." The voice was threatening. Footsteps slowly closed in, and with each step, the breathing got heavier. Saturn slowly turned around and spoke to Plutonia.

"Hey, could you pay for the Pudding?"

Plutonia stared in disbelief.

"The audacity you have to take my money, then admit you spend too much knowingly and most likely on purpose, and now get dessert and want me to spend more money. And on top of all that, make me run around half the city looking for you after you simply run off. You may be older but act at least a million years younger than me."

Saturn, with no answer, simply lifted her plate and offered it to her sister.

"Fine, I'll accept the pudding as an apology."

The three were seated and chatted for hours about anything and everything that crossed their minds. Miho, having known Saturn since birth, caught her eye after seeing Miho first time being much more active in socializing . Saturn felt a warm feeling seeing Miho's cute face looking up from her manga and towards people.

"Mihiro," Plutonia asked for her attention.

"Since I saw you, I wondered about the bandages around your legs. Why are they there?"

Miho, on both legs, had rather clumsily wrapped white bandages from her feet up to her upper thighs and held together with surgical tape.

"It's cold in Lklandkeeling, so I wrap them to make my legs warmer."

"Huh? Why not just get stockings or socks?" Plutonia asked.

"Onee-chan always says a lady should show her legs, as men are attracted to nice thighs."

"So, you decided to half-cover them in bandages?" Saturn thought to herself as she played with her hands, creating small scenarios with finger humans.

"Oooh," Saturn exclaimed.

"Oooh?" Plutonia wondered.

"I say we go shopping for Miho! Get her some of that Santurian style." Saturn suggested as she leaned over the table and shoved her face into everyone's view.

"Don't you think Lumi will be angry if we end up making her look completely different?" Plutonia asked, expressing concern for everyone.

"Dear sis, if you think that Wumi would leave her sister with us and not expect us to do something strange, do you really think it is the real Wumi?"

"Maybe she is just trusting us?"

"No, dear sis, she, in fact, wants us to do something to Miho so that she has a reason to get angry at us."

"Why would she want that, and why would we do anything so she does get angry?"

"Stop, dear sis, questions and questions make the questionnaire shy away. Let's just go!"

"I'd be happy to do it," Miho spoke out, catching the two off guard.

"See, she wants to, hihi," Saturn teased Plutonia with the response, and Plutonia had no choice but to accept the situation.

And so, a long day of adventure and shopping awaited them.Saturn dragged Miho from one clothes store to another all throughout the nation. One by one, thousands of Yen worth of clothes piled up in all sorts of bags, all of which were thrown onto poor Plutonia to carry all by herself. As the sun slowly drifted over the horizon, the spending spree would only begin to slow down as Saturn and Miho explored every inch together from arcades to bookstores to restaurants. By nightfall, Plutonia felt more like a mule carrying more and more with each trip to a store.

"Saturn, I think we should go home now," Plutonia suggested, her voice emitting from behind a wall of boxes and bags.

"Hmm, one more store!"

Plutonia struggled to keep up on her feet after hearing the news but still continued on one step at a time. Soon enough, the trio arrived at a luxurious store, built from the finest stone, wood, and gold. Its interior was rich and melancholy, a modern noir setting that felt out of place compared to the rest of the nation. The only other place with such grand furniture and texture was the Dae Turris itself. The three stepped inside and were welcomed by a little bell which rang as the glass door slowly opened. "Ah, if it isn't the Lady herself. Do you require something royal for your collection?" The old man walked up and greeted the trio with a deep bow of respect.

"Little Mihiro here needs to be treated to the best of the best, Sir Kazuhiro."

"Oh, Miss Mihiro Ilandice is with you?"

"Yup, and I need you to give her the greatest Plansanturia outfit worthy of any candidate processor," Saturn spoke with a posh tone, her head raised high to showcase her status.

"Step over here, Miss." Sir Kazuhiro guided Mihiro to a small box and asked her to stand with her arms stretched out. She stood nervously, following all the instructions. Every inch of her body was carefully measured with a tape measure, and each inch precisely marked out. Saturn and Plutonia sat on chairs away from the two, chatting among themselves while waiting.

Suddenly, a squeal came out from Mihiro's mouth as she turned completely red and stood completely still. The sudden touch of the old man's hand against her raw skin on her thighs flustered her.

"I am done now, Miss Mihiro Ilandice. Please come with me." Sir Kazuhiro led Mihiro to a separate room.

Minutes passed, and the doors to the room opened once again. Sir Kazuhiro came out first and asked Saturn and Plutonia to stand and see Mihiro's new appearance. Slowly, she walked out, feeling like a completely new person had emerged. Her outfit consisted of a mid-length dress with multiple layers of white ruffles and matching boots. Both had a golden-orange pattern with a royal insignia of the Ilandice family on them, and her dress also had an extending flap which stemmed from the collar through the midpoint of her outfit. Over her dress, she wore a long-sleeved, blue jacket of variant shades. The jacket's length was short and reached her upper waist. It had the same lacing as her dress, as well as multiple buttons and a meandering orange shape at the wrists, finished off by finger-less gloves. A complete contrast to her previously bland white dress.

"Could've at least removed the bandages, heh," commented Saturn.

"It can get pretty cold," responded Mihiro.
