A Glitch in Reality

After the call with his colleague Austin, Jack immediately changed his office wear to something comfortable. He took his laptop and checked the contents that he received along with the laptop like charger and other accessories. He plugs in the laptop and waits for it to charge fully so he can use it later.

Meanwhile, he starts watching his favorite gamer video, lays on the bed, and starts imaging

“Ohhh!! With all this, I forgot to have my breakfast and even I didn’t have my dinner last night...”

“Let me check the battery percentage….humm!! it’s 55% not bad…mmm!! Let me grab something from a nearby store”

While he was thinking of what to buy from the local store, he noticed a small glitch screen came and disappeared. He was standing in front of his laptop, a bit of surprise on his face, and got a question

“What was that? A glitch? Is something wrong?”

Then he thought maybe it was a glitch if something goes wrong, I will call a technician or take it to the shop for repair. He gets his jacket, phone, and wallet and starts thinking about what to buy and also to do some shopping so he doesn’t have to go again for grocery shopping again.

As he locks the door, he sees that the laptop screen went blank and comes back he ignores that and locks the door and goes shopping. On the way to the grocery shop he thinks

“Can I open a YouTube account for gaming? If I do well I might get famous!”

“What name shall I give for my account?? Well…humm!! How about Quest Master?…mmm..or Elite Jack Shadow?… or else ShadowSaga?!... tsk nah it’s not that cool”

“First let me practice a bit and then open a channel and in the meantime, I will come up with a cool name”

He grabs the groceries and heads straight to his home by singing a song in a lower tone. He gets inside, puts the groceries in the fridge, and starts eating the sandwich while looking at his phone. In a sudden moment, he glimpsed an image of himself eating on the screen, captured by the front camera. The image flashed for a mere second, leaving him confused and unable to comprehend what had just occurred.

“Was that me? What’s happening?”

Immediately Jack called customer care for the technician visit from the website where he purchased the laptop.

“Hello, I’m Jack, I received my laptop today morning and I think it has some glitch can you send a technician to my place so he can have a look at it.”

“Hello sir, thank you for calling, can you please share your order number so I check the order details and address your concern”

“Wait a min!”

Jack immediately opens the website to check for the order number but he will not find any order regarding the laptop. He starts to panic and opens the message that he got when the order was confirmed but, he can’t find that message as well

“Hello sir, if you are still on the call kindly respond?”

“Yeah! Yeah...I’m on the call... please wait for a moment I’m trying to get the order number but I’m unable to find it.”

“Don’t worry sir, can you please give me your registered mobile number so I can check with it”

“Sure”

And he gave his mobile number

“Thank you for the information. As I can see from your account details, there are no recent orders for the laptop. Are you sure sir you placed the order from this account or do you have another account?”

“I only have this account and I placed the order also I have a laptop with me which got delivered just today morning.. can you check once again”

“I understand sir, but from the records, I couldn’t see any laptop order that has been placed from your account. Could you please check once again for the order number so that I can check the order details or else you will find the order number on the invoice copy which you have received along with the parcel”

Jack looks around to find the invoice copy but he couldn’t find it

“Just give me some time I will check and call you with the order number” (Call disconnected)

Jack was confused and his hands and feet were feeling cold as he started to look for the invoice copy. He tries to remember whether he got the invoice copy with the package or not. He checked all over his place but he couldn’t find it.

He then tries to call the delivery guy so he can get the order number. The call doesn’t connect, he tries again and again but there is no luck. Then he starts searching in his trash and finds the packaging cover there he finds a copy of the invoice that has been attached and sees the order number now he feels a bit relieved and immediately calls customer care for the technician's visit.
