#04: What Makes You Better Than Everyone Else?

"Get ready, Leo. It's my turn to show off now."

I say, standing over Leonardo. "We'll see about that!" He jumps up, kicking me. I block with my right arm, my arm making it's way to his chest, as I launch him away. "Your movements are simple, but fucking fast. That's what makes you incredible." I smile, my eyes glowing once again, sprinting towards him. "Shit-" He muttered, before I appeared in front of him, 'I'll block it!'  Leonardo thought to himself. He put his arms over him, covering all his weak points. 'You're insane, Leo.'   I think to myself, as I go in for the punch, before.. "Here's a taste of your own medicine!" I shout, pulling my fist back, as a feint. "Crap-" He muttered again, worried. In a second, I push myself up, with my left fist, as a decoy, launching my right fist at him, punching him, as he got sent back. He got up, wiping the blood from him nose, smiling. "I did it! Now we're both bleeding!" I smile, wiping the blood from my nose as well. Leo chuckles, "True. Let's end it there." He smiled at me, as I nodded, smiling back.

Me and Leo walk to their cafeteria, both getting water. "This place has everything, huh?" I ask, in amazement. Leonardo's vigorous nods were a good enough answer for me. "But, anyway.." Leo says, opening his water, before sipping from it and continuing, "You already know my ability is that crazy speed of mine..what's yours?" He asks me, interested. What? Ability? What kind of ability? "I..don't know." I say to him, looking upset. "You don't know? The hell? It's the thing that-.. Okay, tell me. What makes you better than everyone else?" He asked, looking with confusion. I thought back to both fights I've been in, analyzing it thoroughly. In my fight against Kira, I adjusted to his slow, simple movements and attacks. Then, against Leo. I analyzed his attack patterns and movements, as well as his pacing and angles. With all details memorized, I created the perfect formula to stop him. I see.. That's it. Of course, my ability is..

"Adaptibility.. That's my ability." I went into a trance, staring forward, as my eyes glowed. Leonardo chuckled, throwing his arm around my shoulder, snapping me out of it. "Like a chameleon." He said, smiling. I smiled back, "Mm. Like a chameleon." He punched a straw into his water bottle, sipping from it. "So, you should improve on that. Make it your whole brand. Then no one will be able to beat you! Other than me, of course." He snickered a bit, pulling a tongue at me. Hm.. yes, if I can develop my ability more, I'll be able to crush any of my enemies. I grin more. "That's a very good idea. And it looks like I have someone here to help me." I look at him. "Who?" He asks, crossing his arms. I continue looking at him, smiling sinisterly. "Oh, me?" He looked at me, pointing at himself. "No really, huh." I smack the back of his head. "Hey! Now you're on!" He jumps up, going in for a kick. I catch his leg, going to punch him, before. 

"Oi. Think it's my turn to take on the new guy now." A familiar voice speaks, as my fist is caught mid-air. "Miko." Leo turns to his side, looking at the giant, towering over both of us. Miko Akihara stood there, waiting for an answer, with a grin spread across his face. "Boo. Always ruining the fun." Leo whines, as Miko pulls me up and holds my arms. His hand completely reached around my arm completely. "Let's have a good match, right?" He smiled at me. I stood there, scared for my life. "Mm." I nod, gulping my spit. Miko turns around, walking to one of the mats. I start walking, before Leo taps me on the shoulder. I turn to my side, as he whispers to me, 

"Hey. Be careful. Miko might seem nice. But he's called 'The Mad Tyrant' for a reason." He said, as sweat flowed down my forehead. "But don't worry. Surely you'll be fine.. I hope." He smiles, patting me on the back, before pushing towards the direction Miko walked in. "Yeah. Okay-.." I walk down to the mat, as I see Miko wave at me. I step onto the mat, as the crowd once again filled with people. "Let's have a good one, Rin-kun." He smiled at me. "Mm. Let us." I smile back at him, worried for my life. 

"Get ready to see the power of patience."
