CHAPTER 14

Calem had barely arrived home from the airport when the phone rang. It was Jeremy.

“Look, I don’t have much time. I’m just calling to let you know that Ben was in a car crash last night.”

“What? Is he okay?”

“No. He’s dead. David and Tom too; they were drunk.”

“Oh.”

“A shame, he leaves such a young baby behind...”

Calem dropped the phone, staring at the wall as Jeremy kept on talking...
