Whispering Winds & Woven Fates

The scene opens up with most of the kids who didn't help with the ogres admiring the trio who did do something

Aalto then notices the kids staring at him and he starts to get nervous “Oh crap…it's been so long since I've been with actual people…who knew it would be so…nerve racking…” said Aalto in a nervous voice 

as the half-elf girl would then walk over to Aalto and the other kid and say "I didn't need you guys to help… I had it under control…” 

the half-elf girl’s voice would have a prideful and ungrateful voice with a Romanian Accent

"wha-...huh...???” Says Aalto stumbling over his words

"Aye all I was trying to do was help-” Before the half-dragon kid could finish his sentence the half-elf girl would pull her arrow out like a knife and point it at Aalto and the other kid

She would then say in a threatening voice "Get in my way again… and I’ll kill you…” 

She would then leave and run away so fast it would look like she turned into an afterimage 

Aalto sighed in relief knowing the scary girl is gone as he'd calm down

as the half-dragon kid also sighed then said to himself  Man… with how strong she is…you’d think she would be a little nice

the half-dragon kid would look at Aalto and then say to him "Hey man… You were pretty good back there most mages I’ve seen that use water magic mostly ditch it and use another magic” 

Aalto would look at him and say "Hm? Oh, thanks" Aalto would then smile and reply by saying "I will say that your combat style is pretty good, and your flames are beautiful-looking which shows that you have good control over your mana. “


The half-dragon kid would then have a surprised expression on his face then wag his tail happily similar to a dog

Aalto would glance at his tail and smirk

The half-dragon kid would then reply by saying "Hey thanks man I'm Jelani Amberbone by the way" 


Jelani would hold his hand out for a handshake Aalto would accept and then say "I'm Aalto nice to meet you Jelani" 


Jelani and Aalto would then notice the kids that didn't help already left 


"looks like they are all gone. Want to partner up with me Aalto? I think you're class is good on its own but could potentially be even greater by supporting a close-range class" Says Jelani


"Good point..when you put it like that..it does benefit both of us..alright then sure," Said Aalto




"So...what task should we do first?"


As Jelani would ask this Aalto would then think and recall the tasks


"We should find someone to help since we fought those ogres earlier and now that I notice." Said Aalto as he would then checked his ID card and noticed that he already had 4 stars 


"EUREKA!! ..Jelani! Check your ID card." 


"uhh..sure." Jelani would then check his ID card which also already had 4 stars


"BRO WHAT!?" Jelani would say confused yet excited


"I KNOW RIGHT!? So here's my hypothesis I think those ogres that we fought earlier were worth four points" Says Aalto


"that makes...a lot of sense." 


"yup, and they also never said we couldn't do another task and get over 5 points depending on the task." Says Aalto


"yeah...wait...now that I think about it..what if that's why most of those kids didn't do anything what if some of them knew about the ogres being worth four points? And instead, sought out a task that was worth more??" says Jelani with a puzzled expression


"Now that you say that...it did seem suspicious that most of them just stood and watched instead of helping." Says Aalto


"hmm...we should keep our guard up..this exam seems more fishy than I thought." Says Aalto with a concerned tone 


"will do...now...I have thought of a task that we can do" 


"Hm? Well then. I'm all ears" Says Aalto


"Ight so...since we both already have four points what if we both split up and do separate tasks and then come back to a meeting spot and turn in our points together?" Says Jelani 


"hmm...that's a good idea...but what if we need help from one another?" 


"good point...Oh! I know what we can do...we can make animal noises loud enough so we can hear them I did them a lot when I was younger while playing with...friends..." As Jelani said in that last sentence he would then look down in sorrow and try not to cry


Aalto would notice Jelani's demeanor change and then say "Hey...Jei...you okay?" 


Jelani would hear Aalto and then snap out of it and wipe his tears


"Yeah... I'm good...wait...Jei?" Says Jelani confused


"Yes...I came up with it by combining the three letters in your name J and E and I and made it sound like the name Jay...is it okay if I call you that??" 


Jelani would then chuckle happily and then reply by saying "Haha..of course...you're nickname will be..Curly Fry!!"

Aalto would be stunned but would then accept the nickname and laugh as Jelani would laugh as well

“Okay..you ready?“ Says Aalto
“Of course” As Jelani would say this both he and Aalto would fist bump and leave

Aalto would be heading east while Jelani would be heading north in the forest 

We would then switch to Jelani's POV as he'd be running through the forest he would then see a kid who seems to be stuck on a tree 

Jelani would then walk up to the kid who seemed to be taking a...nap?

The kid's appearance is brown spiky hair with green eyes and wearing a green graphic t-shirt with grey shorts and matching high-top sneakers he seems to be human

Jelani would take a better look and see that the kid is stuck to the tree by ropes it seems like

That rope... kinda looks like a rope that can't be broken out of by magic... But then how would I??? Says Jelani in his mind as he sees the kid randomly wake up

The kid would then look at Jelani 
Jelani would say to the kid “Hey man..you need any help?“
The kid would then open his eyes all the way and then look at the rope and look around confused then he would say “Oh...um....what was I doing again?“ The kid would have a Greek Accent while talking

“uhh...ay man I don't know what you were doing here I just found you here, to be honest, all I know is I found you here and I believe that rope that you for some reason got caught in weakens magic meaning you can't break out of it using magic so I could either help you or bounce” 

The kid would then think about what Jelani said for a second

Jelani would then say “I can help you if you want” Before Jelani could finish his words a pack of grey and black wolves with a big white wolf who's obviously the leader showed up and surrounded the two

“OH SHIT LUPARI WOLVES!!“ Jelani would say in a scared tone 

Jelani would then recognize the big white wolf's appearance and notice it's red scar on its face
“IS... That...NORDICUS!!!?? ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL LUPARI WOLVES!?? THE HELL IS HE DOING HERE!!?? “ Says Jelani who's about to collapse out of fear

Nordicus would stare into Jelani's soul instilling fear in him as Jelani would bow in instinct
Jelani would be breathing in and out terrified and sweating trying not to make eye contact with Nordicus

the kid would then have veins popping and ripping out of the rope and then get up 
Jelani would see him and yell at him in a scared tone “HEY MAN GET DOWN BEFORE NORDICUS H-”
Before Jelani could even finish his words

Nordicus would send out a powerful howl spell that inflicts the person into fear 

Jelani would already be inflicted with fear so he wouldn't get affected a lot but the kid who got hit by the spell...is...unfazed? 

The kid would then stretch as Jelani would sit there confused as hell

The kid would then look at Jelani and say “You okay there?“

Jelani would then be able to speak and say “H-how...are you...unfazed..by..that.. attack?.. It should..have..affected..you..as..it..did..with..me The kid would then think about it and shrug 

wait...now that I remember...the spell only works on people with weak spirits...does that mean this kid has a stronger spirit than me??Says Jelani in his mind

Nordicus would then command his pack to attack the kid as the lupari wolf pack would surround the kid and attack

Jelani would try to utter the words saying “W-W-ATCH...O-OUT!!..“

The kid would then dodge one attack and as he dodged he would then grab the first wolf's tail that attacked him and swing it into another wolf another wolf would try to slash him but he would dodge and then straight up PUNCHES THE WOLF IN THE FACE AS IT GOES FLYING!!

the wolf would then fly into a tree and the two other wolves would try to attack at once but the kid would roundhouse kick a wolf and then the other wolf would almost bite him but he would catch it by the mouth with both of his hands as the wolf would be pushing the kid as much as it could but to no avail

The kid would then take his hands out of the wolf's mouth and then grab the wolf by the throat and then SLAM!! the wolf on the ground

The entire wolf pack would all be defeated as the one left standing is Nordicus Nordicus and the kid would be staring at each other like two predators fighting over their territory and then Nordicus would slash at the kid as the kid would dodge

Nordicus would then continuously do slash attacks as the kid would keep dodging but Nordicus's tail was about to hit Jelani as Jelani was in the crossfire and the kid saw and jumped to Jelani and pushed him out of the way as Nordicus's tail would SMACK!! the kid and the kid would feel a CRACK! on his side and send him flying into a tree 

The kid tries to get up but gets a sharp pain that stops him from moving as he holds his side and notices one of his ribs broken then Nordicus dashes towards the kid stabs the kid in his shoulder with his claw and drags him up the tree to the perfect angle near it's mouth 

The kid would yell in pain as he glanced at Jelani on the ground trying to get up while the kid would be exclaiming in pain even more

DAMNIT GET UP... BODY...GET UP!!!... THIS KID SAVED ME FROM GETTING HURT BY THAT TAIL AND YOU'RE GOING TO JUST STAY HERE LIKE A BITCH AND LET HIM DIE!? Jelani says in his mind motivating himself to get up and fight the fear instilling spell

The kid would catch a glimpse of Jelani's determination in his eyes as it would run off on him as he bit Nordicus's hand Nordicus then shouted in pain he would let the kid go as the kid held out his hand towards the ground during mid-air and rocks would form into the shape of a hand and catch him

Nordicus notices this and rushes toward the kid to attack him suddenly Nordicus gets a burning cut on his face and it came from Jelani with his sword using this as a distraction the kid launches himself at Nordicus with his rock hand and also forms the rock hand into a gauntlet and STRIKES!! Nordicus with it making Nordicus stumble back

Jelani would then rush towards Nordicus igniting his sword with his fire magic while the kid is in the air he would form the gauntlet back into the rock hand which he uses as a surfboard and would pick Jelani up on it and they would both be on the rock hand and in sync

And on cue right when Nordicus recovers the kid would form the rock hand into a hammer and STRIKE!! Nordicus on the head so hard the rock hammer crumbled into pieces then Jelani jumped off the kid's back in mid-air and did a downward burning slash attack that hit Nordicus's neck

Jelani would scream while dragging his blade across Nordicus's neck trying to decapitate him 

"RRRRGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and then the blade would break and Nordicus would jump back in fear and run away so fast that Jelani and the kid would be still mid air as they were falling Jelani would try to use his dragon wings but they hadn't fully grown yet same with his dragon horns 

The kid would use what little magic he had left and soften the ground enough for them to land on and in the nick of time too as they fell to the ground 

Jelani would be on the ground exhausted from overusing his magic and the kid would be injured and also have mana exhaustion as Jelani would notice Nordicus is gone

“Did...did Nordicus.. just ran? Or am I tripping?“ says Jelani exhaustingly and also dumbfounded 

“yeah...he definitely ran,” says the kid 

Jelani would then laugh and say “HOLY SHIT!! I can't wait to tell Aalto!..hey...I didn't catch your name by the way I'm Jelani Amberbone”

“Oh..sorry my name is Demitrius Rockshield nice to meet you Jelani”

“nice to meet you too Demitrius..after we rest want to continue teaming up and come join me with my homie Aalto?“ says Jelani

“heh...sure,” Says Demitrius happily

“Ayee, nice, welcome to the club man! ” says Jelani happily

We'd then switch to another person who is the half-elf girl she'd be jumping from tree to tree searching for tasks as she'd come across 2 mysterious figure silhouettes talking to something

She would then get a closer look and see that the person is talking to Nordicus she would then hear their conversation

One voice would sound like a woman saying “YOU LEFT THEM ALIVE INSTEAD OF KILLING THEM AND TAKING THEIR MANA CORES!? YOU STUPID DOG!!“

Nordicus would growl and the mysterious lady would growl back in a way then the other figure would hold the lady back saying “NOW NOW you two..our job here isn't to fight amongst ourselves...it's to continue the task at hand now Nordicus...those scars...what were the cause???”

The voice would also sound like a woman and as she asked this question Nordicus would then answer telepathically 

The hot-blooded lady would then say “No way...“

That big white wolf... If he's the right description...then that's none other than Nordicus...I hope I'm wrong...but he seems injured by apparently...children. was it one of the participants in this exam? Or past injuries? They seemed fresh tho- as the half-elf girl was about to finish her sentence in her head 

One of the mysterious figures would glance in her direction and startle her as she would duck to cover hoping she didn't get seen 

“it seems...that we are being watched.......“ says the mature-sounding mysterious lady but she would say this in a threatening and curious tone

The half-elf girl would hear this and get scared and stay quiet as she'd make something 

The hot-blooded mysterious lady would then sniff and say “Yeah...smells like an Elf!!“ she would say this in an excited tone that can be taken as a threat

The half-elf girl would suddenly stop hearing them talk and as she took one second of her guard down she would then hear the words

“found......ya....”

She would then turn around slowly in the direction of the voice throat feeling like the desert, sweating, and heavy breathing like she's holding her breath in water as she'd then....
