Murder

The only thing I remember from that night were the series of events following that one horrifying memory.

When I opened my eyes, there was blood on my hands.

Bright, red blood.

I was panicking, hyperventilating as I struggled to breathe. My vision  wascloudy at the start, but as it got clearer, I saw her.

It was Sakura, laying a few feet in front of me. Her torso was cut open and her guts were spilling out.

She was dead.

"S-Sakura? Sakura, answer me," I managed to spit out, my voice trembling with fear and disbelief as I spoke.

"Sakura, please, wake up... Please..." I had completely broken down at this point, wailing at the top of my voice. "Sakura! Oh, God..."

After this, my memories were fuzzy for a while. I remember the loud ringing of police sirens, and the sensation of picked up and being carried away by force.

The next memory was me sitting in a police station, in handcuffs, under a bright white light. An officer was sitting in front of me, I don't remember how he looked like. I remember his voice repeatedly asking questions again and again, although I don't remember what they were.

When my brain finally started to work, I managed to say something.

"I n-need a lawyer," I'd managed to say with great difficulty.

"Listen, just answer my questions. What-"

"I need a lawyer," I'd repeated. "Please, I need a lawyer."
