Chapter 5:

I Find A Beauty Trapped - By Me

Isekai Chronicles

I was packing all my stuff so I could go up to the surface for a few days - I was going to learn blacksmithing from a master blacksmith. I packed up all my furniture to put in my other house up on the surface, which I bought in case I had to stay up on the surface. I put all of my stuff in my other dimensional storage, Inventory. I kept on all my armor in case a random street bandit decided to take a knife to me. I walked up to the Holler Cliff (I named it. I thought it seemed funny at the time, since if I shouted there, the echo that came back seemed like the cliff was hollering at me.) and enjoyed the breeze. Don't ask me why there is breeze in the middle of a dungeon - these dungeons are like a world scale magic. Each level was like a different world - all connected to each other and connected to the human world. It even rains and storms in here - and in winter, it can even snow.

I walked up to the gate of my small settlement for myself. I had recently built a forge to practice my forging, and other than that, there was the bath, the small pond for my pets, and their shelters, separate for each type, the breeding center, and the baby pet care center, the crafting center, and the food storage. There was also the Guesthouse, the healing center, and the drop storage.

I had a skill which helps me transform from one form to another, which came from continuously disguising myself. I wasn't going to use it just yet - it was tiring to see the ground and myself differently, since I change my height too.

I went to the edge of the clearing. I had magically grown some plants so that they were too thick for swords to cut through easily - they would need saxe knives, which few people brought to a dungeon. I made a gate, too, which looked exactly like the other plants, except these weren't living - they were made out of a springy sort of wood.

I opened the gate and went outside - and I heard a scream for help come. Two minutes later, the warning bell for intruders, which I made, tinkled, telling me that one of my traps had gone off.

Matet! I shouted in my head.

Aye-aye, sir! he replied.

I ran towards the trap that had gone off. I took my bow and my quiver full of arrows out of my inventory, and slung my quiver across my back. I strung my longbow (I had grown strong enough to use one) and arrived at the trap - and met a surprising scene.

A girl Adventurer - she was about my age - got stuck in my trap, and was now dangling from a rope tied to a thick branch on a tree by her ankles. Beneath her was a horde of goblins.

Matet? I asked.

That isn't even a horde anymore, that's a small force!

Oh? A small Goblin Force? Interesting...

I took three arrows at the same time with 4 fingers and kept my palm facing outward. I shot all three at the horde in general, and as soon as the arrows left my hand, I took another three arrows in one fluid motion, with instincts that come with continuous practice. Like that, I let loose 30 arrows. The Goblins were still confused - they hadn't yet spotted me, especially since it was about ten seconds after I started shooting. I dropped the quiver and took another one out of my inventory, and continued to wreck the Goblin Force. They noticed me after I emptied my third quiver, but with 88 of them dead, they weren't so terrifying anymore. I picked 20 or so of them one by one with my arrows, and by the time they reached me, only ten of them remained. I dropped my bow and quiver back into my Inventory and took out two katanas. I had incredible speed, so I ran at them, unleashing my most recent skill, "Supersonic". Their ears popped from the sound blast and two of them got knocked out - the rest I sliced in two.

In about 2 minutes, the battle was over. I killed about 110 goblins. The girl was staring at me, open-mouthed. I went up to her and pressed a knot I had made in the snare to disarm it easily so I could use it again, and caught her as she was about to fall. God, how much armor does she wear? She was very heave, what with her armor and all, so I set her down quickly. Once I set her down, I looked at her.

Man, she was gorgeous. She had electric blue eyes that said she was a very kind person, but very dangerous. The way she held herself suggested that she was of noble birth, and looking at her armor, and the way she looked at me, that she had been adventuring for quite some time, but was secluded from the world of the common people. Her golden-blonde hair glittered in the little sunlight.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Adventuring. We finally beat the upper floors and came down to these middle floors, expecting to be hailed as the first people in 700 years to even touch the middle floors, and  I find you here. My friends - " her eyes widened. "Please - save my friends also!"

Ah, what a drag, I thought. Matet, could you please?

Sure, Silver.

Thanks. Careful not to use skills or magic.

"They'll be joining you shortly. In the meantime, come to my home."

"Home? You mean you're living here?"

"For the past two years."

"You have to be kidding me."

"Am not. Ask Matet when he comes back."

"Matet?"

"One of my pets - more like my companion. He can talk. Actually, everyone at home can talk. Come on."

She started walking beside me in complete silence, no doubt trying to weigh what I just said.

This might be fun.
