Once a Night of The Full Moon ~Demon Hunters~

Set in the past October 20, 1843, the school bell rings at Stormy Rayne Academy, and all the students are heading for their classes. The homeroom teacher walks into the classroom with her notebook.

Homeroom Teacher: "Okay second year class that was the final bell time to shut it. For those of you who still have your mobile phones you know the drill bring your phones here to my desk. You all know this we've been doing this since the school year started last month."

Students: "Yes sir."

The students who still have their phones took them to the teacher's desk.

Homeroom Teacher: "Okay students I have an announcement to make we have a new student joining us today. He has been home-schooled for most of his life, so he's not used to our school customs. Come in and introduce yourself."

A tall young boy walks into the classroom and introduces himself.

Rex: "My name is Rex. Rex Williams and I hope I will get along with all of you."

All the girls except for Christiana are screaming and squealing over him.

Girl Student 1: "Wow he's so handsome!"

Girl Student 2: "He looks so cool too!"

Girl Student 3: "I wonder if he has a girlfriend?!"

All the boys are annoyed about the girl squealing.

Boy Student 1: "Of course, the girls are going to drool over the new guy."

Boy Student 2: "Yeah, it's not fair he just got here, and all the girls want to date him already."

Boy Student 3: "Well... All except for one."

The boys noticed how Christiana wasn't even paying attention to the new student.

Homeroom Teacher: "Okay students settle down! Now Mr. Williams find yourself a desk to sit at. That will be your desk for the rest of the semester."

Rex: "Yes sir."

Girl Student 4: "Sit here!"

Girl Student 5: "No here! Sit here!"

He looks for a desk and sees an empty desk next to a shy student.

Rex: "Excuse me do you mind if I sit next to you?"

Ariel: "O-Oh... Um... Um... Sure..."

He sits next to her.

Rex: "I was hoping you could show me around after school, I'm not familiar with the city."

Ariel: "O-Of course..."

After school, Ariel was showing Rex around the city.

Rex: "Wow so many places here I've never been to a city like this before."

Ariel: "After some time you'll get used to the city."

Elsewhere Christiana just got back home from school.

Christiana: "What a day. Meadow? Are you here?" She finds a note on the table. "I'll be out for a bit I should be back sometime tonight. Oh well, I better go ahead and do all my homework for the week."

She got her school bag and got started on her homework. Later night fell in the city Ariel continued showing Rex the city.

Ariel: "That's pretty much all to see in the city."

Rex: "Thank you so much for showing me around the city."

She checked her watch to see what time it was.

Ariel: "Oh no I didn't realize how late it was. I don't usually be out this late."

Rex: "What time is it? Sorry, I left my phone at home."

Ariel: "Almost eleven o'clock."

Rex: "Oh man my sister is going to kill me for being out late. I have to go back home sorry I won't be able to walk you home."

Ariel: "It's fine don't worry about it."

Rex: "Again sorry."

He runs off home and Ariel walks home just as she is walking home, she hears footsteps.

Ariel: "Is someone out there?"

The footsteps get louder, and she turns around seeing that no one is behind her. She sighed out of relief and as she was about to walk there was someone in front of her revealing to be Rex in his true face a werewolf.

Rex: "Such a sweet girl. Too bad I have to eat your heart."

He pierces her heart and rips it off her chest killing her in an instant. As her lifeless body falls Rex's sister Lucy catches her body.

Lucy: "Why is it always girls like her you kill?"

Rex: "Sweet innocent girls like her have the tastiest hearts. Be sure to make it look like she was killed at a spot okay."

Lucy: "Sure little brother know any good spots to leave the body?"

Rex: "I know a few spots."

Lucy: "Luckily you learned my technique of taking a heart without spilling a drop of blood."

Rex: "I learned from the best."

He eats Ariel's heart as they go to ditch her body somewhere else in the city. Meanwhile at Christiana's house Meadow returns and sees that Christiana is in her pajamas and sleeping waiting for him.

Meadow: "She was waiting for me?" He picks her up and carries her to her bedroom. "She's even beautiful in her sleep."

Just as he lays her down on her bed, he brushes her bangs to kiss her on her forehead. Until he suddenly sees blood on his hands and on Christiana he jumps and freaks out a bit which wakes Christiana up.

Christiana: "Hm? Meadow? When did you get back?"

He blushes a bit.

Meadow: "I... I just got back." (Thinking: "God she's cute when she rubs her eyes like that.")

Christiana: "Oh I see... Sorry Meadow I'm still tired so I'll just go back to sleep we can talk in the morning."

Meadow: "O-Okay..." Christiana went back to sleep and Meadow went to the guest room. "Why... Why did I see blood on my hands when I touched her...."

It is the next day early in the morning two university students are heading to their classes.

Male Student 1: "You think that cutie in our class will ask me out?"

Male Student 2: "As if she'll ask me out before she'll ask you."

One of them tripped on something.

Male Student 1: "Hey man are you okay?"

Male Student 2: "I'm fine. I don't know what it is I tripped on. Huh? Feet?"

One of the boys got a closer look and it turned out to be a dead high school girl he screamed after discovering the body.

Male Student 1: "Holy shit!"

Male Student 2: "Call the cops! Quick!"

One of the boys called the police moments later the police came to the scene and many people in the area gathered around to see what happened.

Woman: "That poor girl...She's so young she had her whole life ahead and now it's over."

Meadow walks by and notices the crowd.

Man: "Who would do this to a young girl like that??!"

Meadow: "Huh? What's going on?"

Woman: "Some university boys found a young girl's body she must've been a second-year high school student."

Worried that it would be Christiana, he went through the crowd to find a different girl dead.

Man: "Hard to believe that her heart was ripped out of her chest."

Meadow: "Her heart was ripped out?"

Man: "Yeah whoever did this must be some sick twisted killer. This isn't even the first time this happened."

Woman: "What do you mean?"

Man: "This happened before with two university girls and two university boys their hearts were ripped out of their bodies."

Meanwhile, the final school bell rings and all the students are heading for their classes. All the students in Christiana's class have made it to class but their homeroom teacher hasn't arrived.

Girl Student 1: "Hey the homeroom teacher hasn't shown up yet."

Boy Student 1: "Maybe we'll have a free day this morning?"

Girl Student 1: "I hope so there I have some homework I haven't finished yet."

Boy Student 2: "You haven't finished it?"

Girl Student 1: "Hey it was a lot I bet I'm not the only one who didn't finish."

Boy Student 1: "I have to admit it I didn't finish mine either."

Girl Student 2: "Yeah me too."

The homeroom teacher walks into the classroom.

Homeroom Teacher: "Alright class you know the drill everyone shut it and bring your phones to my desk."

Students: "Yes sir."

All the students got up and brought their phones to the desk.

Homeroom Teacher: "Unfortunately I have some sad news to inform you. Your classmate Ariel Bridges was found killed this morning."

All the students couldn't believe what happened to their classmate.

Girl Student 1: "I can't believe it."

Girl Student 2: "She must've been at the wrong place at the wrong time."

Girl Student 3: "She was so timid and quiet I didn't really know her that well."

Axel: "No... She can't be dead!"

Boy Student 1: "What's with Crossings?"

Boy Student 2: "Oh it's because he knew her. They grew up together so of course it's going to be hard on him."

Homeroom Teacher: "Now let's have a moment of silence for Ariel Bridges."

The class has a moment of silence for the passing of their classmate. The school day passed, and it was after school Christiana left the school and went home.

Christiana: "You were worried that the dead girl was me? Wow, Meadow you sure are paranoid."

Meadow: "It was for a split second."

Christiana: "You said that her heart was ripped out of her chest, right?"

Meadow: "Yeah."

Christiana: "I wonder what demon would do that. It can't be a vampire since that isn't their style."

Meadow: "I have a theory but I'm not quite certain yet."

Christiana: "What?"

Meadow: "Werewolves."

Christiana: "Werewolves? Werewolves don't exist."

Meadow: "They do well they did."

Christiana: "What do you mean?"

Meadow: "Werewolves are extinct there aren't that many of them anymore. The slayers wiped them off to extinction."

Christiana: "The slayers?"

A series of events of the past happened as Meadow explains about the slayer's involvement in killing almost all the werewolves.

Meadow: "Slayers are pretty much old-school exorcist hunters except they do not believe in the use of guns and swords. They only use bows and arrows to stop the supernatural, there are even some who expel spirits. The werewolves wanted to be left alone by the slayers. The slayers wanted peace with the werewolves since they were more human than vampires. Peace only lasted a short time when werewolves kept killing innocent humans. The slayers were left with no choice but to kill all werewolf packs pretty much ending the bloodline."

Christiana: "I see."

Meadow: "Honestly, I thought I would never hunt a werewolf there's only a pack or two alive. Most likely their pack managed to survive the slaughter. I figure that a pack that survives would stay hidden so they would never be exposed."

Christiana: "Too late now this is interesting hunting a werewolf isn't it, Meadow."

She touches his hand, and he sees blood on his hand taking his hand off hers.

Meadow: "Y-Yeah..."

Christiana: "What's wrong Meadow?"

Meadow: "It's nothing..."

Christiana: "It's okay to talk."

She kissed him on the cheek.

Meadow: "I know..." He gently hugs her and sees blood on his hands and arms around her. (Thinking: "Stop seeing it! Stop seeing it!")

The week has passed and it's a new week. A couple is walking their dog, and the dog catches a smell following the smell. The dog ran far, and the couple was looking for their dog.

Man: "Litly!"

Woman: "Lilly!"

The dog found where the smell was coming from, and she barked at her owners.

Man: "Lilly! There you are, girl!"

Woman: "What are you barking at girl?"

The dog continued barking and the couple went to see what she was barking at. It turns out to be the body of a dead high school boy. The woman screams after seeing the dead body.

Man: "Oh my God! It's a dead body!"

Woman: "We better call the police!"

Elsewhere at Christiana's school, it's lunchtime and she's on the phone with Meadow.

Christiana: "Another dead student?"

Meadow: "Yeah he was a student at your school he was wearing his uniform when he died."

Christiana: "Was he killed the same way Bridges was killed?"

Meadow: "Yeah, his heart was ripped out of his chest."

Christiana: "So it really is werewolves then?"

Meadow: "Yeah, we'll have to hunt them down. Oh, I should make this call quick since someone is waiting to use the pay phone."

Christiana: "Honestly Meadow you should get with the times and get a mobile phone. Hm? Figures he would hang up. Hm?" The student council president was trying to inspect Christiana, but she already knew he was there. "Any reason why you're trying to look under my skirt student president? If you keep doing that I'll scream and call you a pervert now that wouldn't be good for your reputation."

Student President: "I've been hearing rumors of you having a tattoo and that's against the school dress code!"

Christiana: "Actually there is nothing against tattoos in the dress code. Students can have a tattoo only if the tattoo is somewhere on the body where it's covered. So as long as my tattoo is covered, I'm not breaking any dress code."

Student President: "That's! That's!"

Christiana: "Were you just trying to make some kind of excuse to get me kicked out of this academy? Honesty student president, are you still sore that I was elected to be president over you? I mean even your classmates wanted me to be president over you. It's kinda funny that they'd rather have a second-year student be president instead of a third-year student."

Student President: "Damn you!"

PA: "All students report to your homeroom classrooms! I repeat all students report to your homeroom classrooms!"

Christiana: "You should get to homeroom."

She left to go to homeroom and the remainder of the students went to their homeroom classrooms and the homeroom teachers went to their classrooms.

Homeroom Teacher: "Alright class I know this is unusual for you to return to homeroom at this time but there is sad news to inform you all. I'm sure you all know that Axel Crossings hasn't attended school last week, but we know why he didn't. He was murdered a few days ago and his body was found today now let's have a moment of silence for your classmate."

The class has a moment of silence for yet another classmate who has passed.

PA: "All students may return to your next scheduled classes! I repeat all students may return to your next scheduled classes!"

The students went to their next class as they were going to class half of the students were gossiping about the death of their classmate.

Boy Student 1: "So that's why Crossings hasn't been showing up?"

Girl Student 1: "When I was walking home one afternoon his parents asked me if I'd seen him. Apparently, he never went back home after finding out about Bridges' death. I guess they thought that he might have killed himself."

Girl Student 2: "What made them think that?"

Girl Student 1: "Bridges confessed her feelings for him and well he must've turned her down hard because I saw her leaving the courtyard crying. I bet he was depressed cause he felt guilty for turning her down hard like that."

Girl Student 2: "I've been hearing that he might have run away from home."

Boy Student 2: "That's what I've been hearing too that he must've run away."

It's the end of the school day and the final bell has rung. Rex went home and found his sister eating another human heart.

Rex: "Are you that hungry?"

Lucy: "That boy didn't fill me up I did prefer a young adult's heart rather than a kid's."

Rex: "Got me anything to eat?"

Lucy: "She's tied up in your room go ahead and eat her heart."

He went to his room ripped the girl's heart out and ate it. Meanwhile at Christiana's house Meadow couldn't stop thinking of his phone call with Piper earlier.

Piper: 'You've been seeing blood on your hands every time you touch her?"

He blushes.

Meadow: "Yeah... Ever since I confess to Christiana how I felt for her. Is there something wrong with me?"

Piper: "You're truly in love with Christiana."

Meadow: "T-Truly?!"

Piper: "Yes, I believe that you're afraid that you'll hurt her that's why you're seeing blood on your hands. You're afraid that it'll be her blood on your hands afraid that you'll lose control and kill her. You just have to face it know for a fact that you can ever hurt her."

Meadow: "I-I see..."

Piper: "If you can see for yourself that you'll never hurt her you won't see blood on your hands ever again."

Meadow: "T-Thanks..."

Piper: "No problem."

Moments later he waits for Christiana to come back to her home from school.

Meadow: "So I just have to face it... Prove myself that I would never harm her."

Christiana comes back home from school.

Christiana: "I'm back."

Meadow: "Welcome back."

Christiana: "We should go look for the werewolves before they find their next victim."

Meadow: "Yeah."

They went around the city to hunt for the werewolves.

Christiana: "How can you spot a werewolf? You know in their human form."

Meadow: "It's hard to tell they can blend in with humans like vampires do."

Christiana: "I see."

They continued to look for the werewolves for the rest of the day but came up empty. Before they knew it was midnight they went back to Christiana's house. Christiana went to take a shower and Meadow was waiting for her.

Meadow: "I have to prove it to myself now or I will keep seeing blood on my hands every time I touch her."

She got out of the shower and put on her pajamas.

Christiana: "Meadow? What's wrong?"

Meadow: "Well..um.."

Christiana: "You've been off lately it seems like you've been hesitant to touch me. Is everything okay?"

Meadow: "I've been afraid... In my mind, I've been afraid that one day I would lose control and kill you."

Christiana: "Meadow..."

Meadow: "I must prove to myself that I would never harm you."

She walks up to him and kisses him on the lips.

Christiana: "I know you would never hurt me, Meadow."

He hugs her gently and kisses her. He walks her to her bed and continues kissing her.

Meadow: "I'll prove it by expressing my love for you."

Christiana: "Meadow..."

Before she knew it, he started to unbutton her shirt and took off all of her clothing then his clothing. He notices a tattoo on her upper thigh. The two then made passionate love to each other. Some time has passed and it's almost three thirty in the morning.

Christiana: "My Meadow so much passion."

Meadow: "That was proof of my love for you. Maybe I should mark you."

Christiana: "Mark me?"

Meadow: "It'll be proof that you are mine and no other man can have you."

She blushes.

Christiana: "O-Oh."

He blushes then he smiles at her.

Meadow: "But I want to taste you a bit more before I mark you."

He starts to kiss her on her neck and then to her breasts. He then kisses her nipple then nibbles on it as she blushes and moans softly. It is bright early in the morning Christiana is getting ready to go to school. Meadow just now getting out of bed seeing her drinking coffee.

Christiana: "I'm surprised usually you're up before I am."

She looked up and noticed him wearing nothing but boxers and blushes.

Meadow: "What's wrong?"

Christiana: "N-Nothing..." (Thinking: "H-He looks so sexy right now...")

Meadow: "I see you made coffee."

Christiana: "Yeah you should drink it before it gets cold."

Meadow: "When did you get that tattoo?"

Christiana: "I figure it would be best to have that tattoo in case I lose my earrings."

Meadow: "Why would you have it there?"

Christiana: "I figured you might like there on my thigh."

He blushed as he went to make a cup of coffee and took a sip.

Meadow: "It's good I didn't know you brew coffee."

Christiana: "It's not that hard anyone can make coffee. I better get going it's almost time for the first bell to ring."

She left to go to school and went to the faculty office to see Piper before the other teachers arrived.

Piper: "Here are some bounties you might want to look into."

She hands her the bounties.

Christiana: "Thanks I'll do that after I deal with some werewolves."

Piper: "Werewolves? That's strange last I checked werewolves are extinct they were all massacred long ago."

Christiana: "Meadow said the same thing but with students' hearts being taken out of their bodies. He believed that there might be a pack or two still alive."

Piper: "Strange I thought that might have been a demon or a magic user using black magic that was killing those kids."

Christiana: "The thing is that we're not sure who the werewolves are they blend in with humans just like vampires."

Piper: "Expect the timing of the full moon if memory reserves. Werewolves don't come out during the daytime because they won't be able to control their beast side. They stay hidden until the full moon is out then they attack."

Christiana: "Then it's simple if the werewolf is a student, then I'll have to see who didn't show up to school today. After all, tonight is a full moon, we'll stop the werewolf before it kills again. Thanks, for letting me know."

Piper notices how different Christiana is and sees the hickey on her neck.

Piper: "You're glowing."

Christiana: "Hm?"

Piper: "You're glowing you must've been with your lover last night? You two had to been intimate."

She blushes out of embarrassment.

Christiana: "It's none of your business."

Piper: "You're right I shouldn't pry but next time Meadow marks you with a hickey. Cover it with your hair that way no one will see it." She fixes Christiana's hair to cover her neck. "It's a good thing you were already wearing your hair down today."

Christiana: "Whatever."

The first bell rings and the students already at school head for their homeroom classes. The students in the classroom were chatting while waiting for the school day to start. During P.E. class Christiana notices how Rex is aggressive over at the boy's class during their game of soccer.

Boy Student 1: "What the hell Williams?! You didn't have to tackle me that rough!"

Rex starts to growl and pants like a wolf.

Boy Student 2: "Dude it's just a game!"

Boy Student 3: "Yeah man what's with you?!"

He starts to calm down.

Rex: "Sorry guys I got way into the zone."

Christiana: "So he's the werewolf huh? I thought he wouldn't show up today he must've thought he could have controlled his werewolf side."

Girl Student: "Hey did you hear that commotion?"

Christiana: "Over there."

Girl Student: "It's strange I wonder why Williams is acting so strange?"

It is the end of the school day, and all the students are leaving.

Rex: "Hey your Collins, right?"

Christiana: "Why you ask?"

Rex: "I was wondering if we could hang out after school?"

Christiana: "Sorry I have a boyfriend."

He chuckles a bit.

Rex: "Your cute and all but you're not my type I prefer a sweet girl over a tomboy. I meant to hang out as classmates."

Christiana: "I suppose."

They left the school together and walked around the city. Hours have passed and it's late at night, almost midnight.

Rex: "Oh damn it's that late!"

Christiana: (Thinking) "Let's see if I'm right."

Rex: "I should get going my sister must worried about me."

Christiana: "Let me ask you something."

Rex: "Okay sure."

Christiana: "The night Bridges died where were you?"

Rex: "At home with my big sister. What is this some kind of attack on me?!"

Christiana: "I did overhear you telling Crossings that you didn't think that the killer would have ripped her heart out."

Rex: "Yeah so?!"

Christiana: "When we were informed about her death the teacher never said how she died. Most of the students assumed she could have been stabbed or shot at the time. Yet you knew exactly how she died before everyone else did. That tells me that you were there when she died so either you witnessed her death or."

Rex: "Or what?"

Christiana: "You killed her. I'm right aren't I the way you reacted is a dead giveaway."

He couldn't believe that she figured it out.

Rex: "You're right I killed Ariel."

Christiana: "How did you take her heart out without using a scapple?"

His werewolf instincts kicked in as his hands were turning hairy and his nails were turning into claws.

Rex: "It's simple it's because I'm not human."

Christiana: "Then what are you?"

His eyes turn grey.

Rex: "I'm a werewolf my sister and I are the last of our kind!"

Christiana: "Werewolf?"

Rex: "There are things in this world you don't know about!" He completely becomes a werewolf. "Any last words before I take your heart."

Christiana: "Just two. Now Meadow!"

Meadow comes from before and stabs the werewolf in the arm.

Rex: "Argh! You bastard."

Meadow: "Just be glad it wasn't the back."

Rex: "You... You were faking it! Not knowing the truth!"

Christiana: "How was my performance?"

Meadow: "It wasn't convincing enough."

Christiana: "I thought it wasn't that bad."

Rex: "You work with a vampire?! Wait a minute." He sniffs the two and realizes that their scent is the same. "You two smell the same no wonder you had a strange scent."

Christiana: "What are you talking about?"

Rex: "I thought you were a unique human, but it turns out you just slept with a vampire."

Christiana and Meadow blush.

Meadow: "It's none of your business."

Rex howls at the full moon.

Christiana: "What is he doing?"

Meadow: "I don't know."

Rex: "My sister she'll be here soon to kill you! But first I'll kill my classmate!"

As he is about to attack Christiana, she uses a silver dagger she had hidden and stabs him in the heart.

Christiana: "Did you really think I would go with you with no weapons?"

Rex: "Damn...you..."

He falls backward and dies in an instant.

Christiana: "That takes care of one."

Lucy came just as Rex died.

Lucy: "You! You bitch! I'll kill you!"

Just when she attacks Meadow stops her by shielding Christiana and stabs Lucy in the heart with his silver weapon.

Meadow: "Now two."

She reverts to her true human form.

Lucy: "Thank...you..."

She died shortly after she thanked them but the two were confused by that.

Christiana: "Why did she thank us?"

Meadow: "It's a mystery."

Piper: "Not really."

Christiana: "Piper what are doing here?"

Piper: "I did some checking with those two and it turns out that girl was a huntress."

Meadow: "Are you sure?"

Piper: "Absolutely I found this journal in their house, and it has enchanted paper on it."

Christiana: "Enchanted paper?"

Meadow: "It's like ordinary paper but it has a binding on it. Like if you want to send a message to another hunter and you don't want anyone else to know about it. You can just set the bind to that person and only that same person can read it."

Piper: "It seems to me she only wanted another hunter to read it. It turns out she came from a family of exorcist hunters. She found out that there was one last werewolf pack a couple she killed them before they tried to kill her. She didn't know that the couple had a child, a ten-year-old son instead of killing her he turned her into a werewolf. She must've written this in case she lost her humanity to let her family know what happened to her."

Christiana: "Isn't that the same for vampires?"

Meadow: "No that's a myth humans that were turned into vampires still have their humanity. So that logic only applies to werewolves."

Christiana: "That makes sense but if she killed his parents why did he turn her? Wouldn't he have been better off to kill her as revenge for his parents?"

Meadow: "He must've figured that since she killed his family then she'll become his new family."

Christiana: "She must've believed that the werewolves would've tried to repopulate their species, so they wouldn't be extinct anymore."

Piper: "Poor girl she didn't deserve to be turned like that. Don't worry I'll take her to her family after all they deserve to know what happened to her."

She uses her transport key and sets the location where the girl is from the portal door appears and she takes the girl to the portal door to take her to her family.

Christiana: "What was that?"

Meadow: "A transport key it's a reliable and easy transportation for hunters and huntresses. It helps them when they travel from place to place plus it's much more cheaper than taking airships and trains."

Christiana: "I see. Hm?!" She just noticed that Meadow had his hand on her butt stroking and groping it. "M-Meadow! What are you some kind of horny animal?"

She slaps his hand off her and they both blush.

Meadow: "S-Sorry... I don't know why that happened."

It is the next day and Christiana's classmates are talking about what happened to Rex.

Girl Student 1: "Did you hear Williams had to move away."

Girl Student 2: "No way really?!"

Girl Student 3: "I heard that his parents were transferred to another job."

Girl Student 4: "Aw I was going to invite him to my Halloween party..."

Christiana notices how most of the girls in her class are disappointed. Christiana went to see Piper before class started.

Christiana: "So that's the lie you had to use huh?"

Piper: "I thought it would be best to lie rather than tell the truth I don't think the school would want to know that another student died over mysterious circumstances."

Christiana: "I understand."

Piper: "I'm sure that The Trails will be amazed to hear that you and Meadow killed the last two werewolves in existence."

Christiana: "I wonder if there is a reward for killing werewolves."

Piper: "Hm I'm not sure I'll have to ask them, but I couldn't believe that you weren't afraid when you had to confront that boy. I mean imagine if he wasn't a werewolf though humans are capable of killing like supernatural beings. After all the real monsters out there are humans, I thought you should know that since you're at that age now to know the truth."
