First Round

If I’m being honest, it’s a common Istenarte for someone to cushion their fall, making the air around you gradually denser as you fall to the surface, it will increase the drag so you can land safely, I’m not impressed about that part.

What I’m impressed is how he’s able to do that with such a small amount of Isten in his necklace, I’m sure there’s an Isten Eemitting material, in other words, a core inside, maybe it’s Raychaudury custom.

Now, what will he do as he get a full pledged staff?

“Alright! Please take care of me Ms. Kaya!” he picked it up with that stance, does he have some kind of experience wielding a spear? And that foot stance…he’s not like the brat earlier who’s just an Istenarte nerd hm?

“Oh, definitely. I will not hold back, I’ll take care of you”

Thud!

She hurled a hundred of spreaded out ice crystal imbued with the tracking code, not all at once but each of them has a different speed, angle, size and spacing between each other, it’s similar to a hail being thrown at you-

“Clach-oigheir” see? She also called it hail.

And it seems like Navis’ amber eye has started to turn narrow.

He swiveled his body to the right, swinging his leg to the front of back running away…or rather dodging the hail, but how long can you keep up? It only gets faster as it’s going to be lighter when it melts.

Taking a sharp turn, he turns to face Kaya, he’s coming to Kaya whilst parrying the ice crystal that’s catching up to him and before all of it melts away, Kaya casted another one.

“Clach-oigheir…” A dozen large sized ice crystal appeared in front of her as Navis gets closer, she then imbued another code, “Ricochet” she swings the staff into a half circle before the ice crystal hits against each other and ricochet, it breaks into two, four as it hurls to Navis direction chaotically.

He hits the brake before putting his staff in front of him,

I can feel the air gets denser, he’s using that again?

“Þicc, Heofon.” he thrusted his staff forward and swings it downward, hitting the ground, so that’s what they called that Istenarte here?

Crack.

Slowly, the hail decreased in speed and falls to the ground, some still able to go through that barrier of dense air, he easily swatted it away with the staff but some managed to get around and that’s when he’s caught off guard,

SHRIEK!

“Tch!” he quickly twirled to dodge the other that’s coming, some managed to rip some of his shirt, not many but it was not insignificant too, here comes Kaya, using his own blindspot as a façade.

“That’s a one, zero”

“!!!” Navis deflected her staff swings but she had already casted the code under her breath, a single ice crystal came out from her staff,

“Þicc!” is that really all he can do to block it?

CRACK.

It’s stopped mid-air but Kaya doesn’t waste a chance to use that opening, she gets in a high stance with her staff above her head-

“Þynne.” now it gets…thinner? Oh, no way, that’s one way to do it.

“Ah!?-” she falls quicker than she thought and ended up passing Navis, planting her face into the grass as he stepped aside, pointing his staff at her back.

“Whew…Ms. Kaya, you’re a tough one…can’t say you’re stronger than my brother though.”

Hmm…so he was trained by his brother, that’s good to know, who is his brother? I should ask him that in the end.

And well…seeing how he’s able to turn that tide so quickly is unfair…actually that’s not how it goes. If I say that’s an unfair match up, I would be casting aside his quick thinking, or rather is it Kaya who’s more incompetent? Can’t say for sure before the next round.

I’ll have to ask her to use that, holding back my ass, you’re underestimating him, let’s see what they can do after this first one. I’ll make sure that his win is not a fluke and her loss is not because of incompetence.
