Chapter 47:

Chapter 47: The Final Fight

Howl

Ferral finally caught up with Leonidas and tackled him into a building. The two hit the floor; Leonidas tried to get up and run off but Ferral dug his claws into his back and pulled him back to the ground. Ferral turned Leonidas over and started punching him repeatedly across the face, then slamming both his fists down onto his chest. During this onslaught, Leonidas managed to get a quick uppercut on Ferral, knocking him over. He used this opportunity to attack Ferral, but when his fist connected with Ferral’s chest it did not phase him. Leonidas stepped back in fear while Ferral growled furiously, then kicked Leonidas against a wall, grabbing his other arm and placing his foot on Leonidas’s chest.
“P-PLEASE!” Leonidas pleaded as Ferral started pulling his arm, “MERCY!!” Ferral stopped for a second, tiling his head. “N-N-NOOOOOO!!!” He roared, as he finally tore Leonidas’s arm clean off. He screamed in agony as his body slid down the wall. Reverting back to his normal state, Leonidas continued to scream in pain as Ferral threw his fists and head into the air and roared at the sky. In the midst of this, Ferral caught the scent of something coming closer and he turned his head to see a long steel bar coming at him. He jumped out of the way, the steel bar piercing Leonidas in the chest. He let out a small groan on the bar’s impact, then dropped his head as blood dripped down the side of his lips.
Ferral turned his back to Leonidas to see his lifeless body then back to where the steel bar had come from. He huffed in exhaustion, groaning as he fell to his knees and started to revert back to his normal state as well. He had managed to stay in his transformed state, but was no longer berserk. He laid there on all fours, sweat dripping down his face as he panted heavily. His clothes almost completely gone, the only thing still there were his shorts, now torn from the bottom. He stumbled as he got back on his feet, darting his eyes around not knowing what happened. Only thing he could remember was being impaled by Leonidas, then he turned around again to see Leonidas there. His mind was racing, he couldn't process what was happening now. Did he do that? Where are they? What happened? Questions continued to race through his mind as he walked out of the building, staring at his hands, his claws coated in blood.
Before he could think any further, he picked up a strange scent. The moment it hit his nose, his eyes shot open and began to sweat even more. Ferral grabbed his throat by how this scent suffocated him. It was horrible, like the smell of a decaying corpse and rotting fruit were put together. He turned his body in every direction, the smell seemed to be everywhere. Where was it coming from? It was getting closer. Ferral continue to look frantically around, but soon the scent changed, going from this awful aroma to something more sweet. Like strawberries and roses, this new scent now only coming from one direction. Ferral turned around toward where this scent was coming from, and his eyes had never opened wider.
“My, you look so shocked to see me.” This person said. No, it wasn't just a random person. Ferral’s eyes began to swell with tears as he stared at Dr. Amber standing in front of him, wearing a full body white bodysuit. “M-Mo…” Ferral tried to speak, but he was at a loss for words. Dr. Amber simply smiled and extended her arms out. Ferral hesitated for a moment, but bolted toward her and the two embraced each other, Ferral started to sob loudly. “It's okay, let it all out.” Dr. Amber said as she stroked his head. Ferral pulled back, trying to compose himself, wiping his eyes. “I can't believe it's really you.” He said, his voice still shaky. “H-How? I thought you were…well…” Dr. Amber caressed her hand on his cheek, “Let's not worry about that. What matters is I'm here.” Ferral sniffled, “Mother, I have so much to tell you. All the friends I've made, and the things I've learned.” She chuckled hearing his giddiness, “And you can tell me all about them when we’re back home. At the Facility.” He turned his head in confusion, “Why…?” Before he could finish, that awful scent filled his nose again, this time he knew where it was coming from. More specifically WHO it was coming from.
He looked at Dr. Amber in horror, as he stepped back. “Mother, what's my name?” Ferral asked. She looked at him confused, “What? Silly, you don't have a name.” He gasped, his breathing grew rapidly, the world around him began to lean to the side. Sweat began to run down his face again, his mind began racing…
…What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?!
As these thoughts rung through Ferral's mind, Dr. Amber's innocent expression changed to a more annoyed one. “What's the matter? Let's go home.” Her question sounded muffled as he continued to panic…
…What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?! What is this?! Who is this?!
While Ferral’s mind raced, his body started to twitch, as if acting on its own knowing there was some form of danger. He looked at Dr. Amber, who stared at him with annoyance. He tried to stop his body from moving, but it didn't listen…and without thinking he pulled back a punch and aimed it directly at Dr. Amber. He looked down as he threw the attack, and once it impacted he looked up to see what happened. To his utter shock, Dr. Amber had caught his fist and started moving it to the side. “T-That’s…not…possible.” He gulped. He tried to pull back his hand but it would budge, all the while Dr. Amber started daggers at Ferral. “So, it's going to be like this, huh? Fine then…” She pulled Ferral forward and kneed him in the stomach. He coughed out blood and was sent flying back, and once he hit the ground he strained getting up. Ferral looked up at Dr. Amber walked calmly toward him. “Who are you?” Ferral muttered, “WHO ARE YOU?!?!” He screamed as his body shot toward her, attacking frantically as tears once again filled his eyes. She dodged each attack he threw, socking him across the face and kicking him in the ribs, sending flying back again. “You ask who I am, but you already know the answer.” Dr. Amber said, callously.
Ferral got back up again, holding his left side, “No you're not…NO YOU'RE NOT! WHO ARE YOU?!?!?” He rushed her again, this time going for a kick, but she grabbed his leg and threw him against a lamp post. He panted heavily, “WHO ARE YOU?! WHAT ARE YOU?!” He screamed, trying once again to land even a single blow, but this version of Dr. Amber was too fast and insanely strong. She right crossed and left crossed Ferral, each blow having the weight of a high speed freight train. She socked him in the stomach, grabbed his left arm and threw him across her shoulder. He flew until he skipped once on the ground landing face first on the floor. As the clone Dr. Amber started walking again toward Ferral, he lifted his bloodied face up at her. “Why…why are you doing this?” Was the last thing he could say before passing out. She didn't respond, knowing he wasn't listening and as soon as she was about to reach down and grab him, she heard a noise coming from behind her.
Amber turned to be met with Leona’s right fist inches from her face. She dodged the attack, then ducked Ezekiel’s kick and jumped to the side for Belle’s kick. The three got between her and Ferral. She repositioned herself back to standing straight up and as Belle and Leona kept their eyes on her, Ezekiel turned to see Ferral lying unconscious. “Ferral!” He exclaimed as he knelt down beside him. Belle and Leona looked back to see, Belle joining Ezekiel on the ground. Leona turned her attention back to Dr. Amber, her face turned into shock. “Dr. Amber?” Belle and Ezekiel turned their heads to look at her, their faces also morphed into surprise. “That's impossible, you're supposed to be dead.” Leona said, but Dr. Amber brushed off the comment. “Let's not focus on the past,” She said, “If you children could please step aside so that I may take…um, Ferral back to the Facility with me.” The trio looked at one another then back to her. “Yeah, fuck no.” Leona scoffed. Belle and Ezekiel both got up and stood next to Leona. “Please, don't make this harder than it needs to be.” The three stood their ground, reading themselves to fight. “You want Ferral?” Belle asked. “You have to get through US.” Ezekiel added.
Amber sighed and before she could make a move, the four could hear several noises coming from all around them, then a man hopped on top of a building, a silverback gorilla experiment stood staring down at them. It was the same gorilla-man that Ferral had met, then Mr. Moleman came out from behind another building along with the bear-girl Ferral had fought. Then the hyena siblings had came out a long side Ms. Jaguar and the cobra experiment Ferral had also fought. The lionesses, the dolphin-girl Ferral met, along with all the other remaining experiments that were on the island. They all surrounded Dr. Amber and the trio. “Is this a good thing, or a bad thing?” Ezekiel leaned over and asked Leona. “I have zero idea.” She responded.
As the other experiments stood around, Gorilla slammed his fists on the building to get everyone’s attention. “This all ends now!” He shouted, “We're done slaughtering ourselves and demand for this whole thing to end! Or else…” Belle and Ezekiel smiled, Ferral's plan had seemingly worked, all Leona did was smirk. Dr. Amber looked around at all the experiments, and groaned in annoyance. Then all the bug drones came flying above everyone, a microphone feedback sound came from each of the drones.
“And end it will.” Dr. Atlas’s voice came from each drone. “You see, once we have collected that young man unconscious on the floor, then will have you all be terminated immediately.” Some of the experiments looked at Leona and others and saw Ferral lying on the ground, then back up at the sky. “Now, I know killing all of you seems like a waste,” Dr. Atlas continued, “But there are still hundreds, no THOUSANDS of experiments still around the world. You lot who came here were mere demonstrations to show normal humanity what lurks in their society. Now, if would kindly hand over the boy to my subordinate, Dr. Amber, and we can get on with things.”
As all the experiments looked around at each other, Mr. Moleman stepped forward and stood beside Ferral. “Now, I don't know what you plan to do with Ferral,” He said, turning everyone's attention to him. “But, knowing what a horrible organization you are, it can't be good.” The hyena siblings also walked closer, “Yeah! We've grown quite fond of Al!” Hyde said. “So if you want him, you gotta go through us!” Hydra added. “Or more specifically… we go through you!” Ed ended. As all the other experiments muttered and started to walk closer, Dr. Atlas sighed.
“Very well then. Though your deaths were imminent, I would've hoped you would've made things easy. But, have it your way, Dr. Amber, dispose of them and bring 9320 back here.” She nodded, and readied herself to attack. As the other experiments readied themselves too, Leona looked at Belle and Ezekiel. “One of you take the idiot as far away from here as possible.” But before one of them could answer, the bear-girl had already slung up over her shoulder. “I will do it,” she said, “Ferral spared my life, so it's only righy I potentially could save his. Besides, it's what a real superhero would do.” The trio looked at each other confused, Ezekiel simply shrugged and they turned back to her. “Alright then,” Leona said, “Go!” She nodded and sprinted off. They turned their attention back to Dr. Amber and readied themselves to fight.
“I don't know nor do I care if you're the real Dr. Amber or not.” Leona told her, “Either way I don't give a shit. I'm not soft like Ferral. I WILL crush you.” Dr. Amber simply scoffed, “You, all of you…” a sadistic smirk grew on her face, “....Will DIE.”
