Once the Bear-girl had gotten far enough, she placed Ferral on the ground behind a pile of rubble. “I hope you recover as soon as possible,” She said, “I have a feeling we're going to need all the help we can get.” With that final statement, she ran back to the battlefield.
While the Bear-girl was gone, no one had yet to make a move. Everyone but Amber was tense, they all knew that this woman…this THING was something far beyond their strength. Without waiting any longer, one of the experiments, a male honey badger, had lunged at Amber. He swiped his claws at her, but she dodged it with ease, and more experiments rushed in to join. Each one trying to land a blow, but Amber dodged and ducked every single attack. An experiment went for a kick, but she backflipped and used her hands to land on their leg, then launched herself into the air ramming her feet into a falcon experiment. As they both fell, Amber gracefully landed one of her feet on top of another experiments’s head then knocked them down as she pushed off from them. As they kept attacking, she continued to frolic, laughing at each of them missing their attacks. Soon the Bear-girl rejoined the others, seeing them already struggling to even land an attack.
Leona and the twins could also not touch Amber no matter how strength and speed they put into their attacks. Amber grabbed the twins’s fists and slammed both of them together. Leona came from behind with her leg in the air and tried to slam it down on Amber's head. But she evaded it with ease. Amber turned to face Leona, a joyful smile on her face. “Hello, 1895!” She waved, then dodged a few more attacks before replacing her attention back on Leona. “You're not the same Dr Amber,” Leona sneered, “Who are you?!” Amber chuckled as she grabbed someone’s leg and threw them away. “I am the same Dr. Amber you've always known. Just smarter, faster, stronger….” She closed her eyes, extended her arms out, and looked up at the sky. “I. Am. Perfect.” Leona scoffed and lunged at Amber, throwing a punch, but was effortlessly caught.
“The real Dr. Amber would never say something so stupid like that.” Leona pulled back her hand and started to throw a volley of attacks, the Gorilla-man experiment jumping in for a surprise attack. Amber blocked and dodged both of them. “That is why I am better.” Amber continued with Leona, “I could never see it before but being transformed, no, reborn as an experiment has finally opened my eyes. All of us are perfect compared to regular humans, unfortunately none of you see that. That's why none of you are as truly perfect as I am.” Leona and the Gorilla-man simultaneously punched Amber who blocked them and went sliding backwards, however she waa unfazed. While more experiments kept attacking Amber, Leona and the Gorilla-man watched tired and panting. “What the hell was she talking about?” Gorilla-man asked Leona. “Given how insane it sounded, I'd say some Organization bullshit they bored into her mind.”
“Whatever,” Gorilla-man groaned, “But it's obvious we can't beat her. None of us are physically strong enough to do any real damage to her. We'll have to try to catch her off guard, unless you've got something?” Leona stretched her neck and arms, “Yeah, I've got something. Might be able to catch her off guard and do some damage. Keep her distracted for me though, will ya?” He nodded and joined the fray. Leona concentrated, mustering up the strength she had and transformed into her awakened state. Amber could smell a sudden change in scents and looked to see where it came from. Before she could realize where it was coming from, Leona squatted in front of Amber who too late had looked down and Leona sprang up, uppercutting her in the chin. Then, Leona unleashed a barrage of attacks, each one connecting with Amber's body. She ended her onslaught by kicking Amber away and having another experiment launch her away with an attack.
Soon, she was being knocked around by most of the experiments, the assault ending with the Gorilla-man picking her up and slamming Amber into the ground, then Belle and Ezekiel double kicked her into a building that came crumbling down after impact. Some of them cheered, thinking they had done lots of damage to Amber, others like Leona enjoyed getting to land hits but knew it wasn't over yet. Just then, Amber’s hand sprouted out of the rumble and soon did the rest of her body. Some of the experiments growled and grumbled seeing her still standing while others looked in annoyance. Amber dusted herself off and did some quick stretches.
She chuckled, “You've all got such tenacity and vigor, I'll give you that. But I plan to tear that all down in one fell swoop.” She clenched her fists and teeth as her body began to tense and tighten. Soon pure white fur started to sprout from her hands as we as her feet, ripping through her clothes, it soon stopped at her elbows and knees. Her body also started to change, growing slightly bigger and her muscles becoming more defined. Her once auburn hair now a little longer and white like her fur while wolf-like ears grew on the top of her as well as a tail. Everyone stared in awe at Amber's metamorphosis, but Leona regained her focus and lunged at her only to be met with the suffocating scent of decaying corpse and rotting fruit that surrounded Amber. She stopped and started to back away from the pungent aroma, as did everyone else who was close.
As Amber's transformation came to an end, her blue eyes changed into a lighter, piercing blue and her canines were now longer and sharper. Claws grew from the ends of her hands and feet. Once she had finished, she cocked her head to everyone, another gleefully sadistic smile, showing off her fangs. “Now then…let the massacre begin.”
While all the chaos was happening, Ferral continued to lay unconscious, remembering how it was when he first met Dr. Amber, his mother…
