Chapter 8 ' LETS PLAY A GAME WITH DEATH '

After arriving at the church of sins I am rather surprised the doors are not black there are no gargoyle statues and even the atmosphere here seems completely normal anyone would just assume this is just normal a church but still I have a feeling that something grimm awaits us beyond those doors not that it matters to me whatever it is I will just have to defeat and destroy it although still I don't want get complacent so I will keep my guard up just in case there's something actually strong there with that said I finally entered the church

Revenine and chronolia seem a little scared so they are both clinging to me while ephilis is rather calm but for some reason keeps on taking glances my direction and looking away

So I said to them ' could you stop that its difficult to walk like this '

Revenine replied saying ' I apologise for inconveniencing you master but could you please allow me to cling to you for now when I feel scared or uneasy clinging to master makes me feel safe so please master '

Chronolia while blushing replied saying ' dont get the wrong idea its not like I am scared or anything it's just that it's instinct to be near the strongest person around in situations of this nature l am just being cautious so don't think that I like clinging to you although I don't dislike it either '

After hearing their answers I thought myself ' revenines answer was adorable if I tried make her stop clinging to me I would look like heartless man and even chronolias anwer was logical in its own weird way although I am not sure why she was blushing while speaking could it that she's a tsundere and actually likes me , no way I shouldn't assume such things we literally just met yesterday well no matter nows not the time for that anyway I should concentrate at the task at hand '

! Just then we heard a scream coming from the left corridor of the church !

Following the scream we stumbled upon a underground basement the stairs creaked and the screams just kept on getting louder at the end of the staircase there was a ominous looking black tunnel it gave off a dark feeling the only word i could use to describe the feeling it gave off would be death it reeked of blood there were even organs that were rotting away at the side of the tunnel it made revenine and chronolia feel a little nauseous while me and ephilis were both completely unfazed by it , in my old world there was a saying " Theres Light at the end of the tunnel " that saying was absolutely wrong in this case because all that awaited us at the of the tunnel was Darkness it was a dark terrain with a bridge leading to a building that looked like a church that was burned years ago on the left side beneath the bridge there was a mountain of seemingly endless dead bodies and on the right side there was some kind of mining going on people kept on mining till they died and the other miners took the bodies of the dead and threw them into the mountain of dead bodies on the left side it was a gruesome sight to behold both revenine and chronolia were trembling

So I said to them ' lets ask the person in charge of this place about this I sense someone in that burned church so lets go '

Ephilis said ' what mister chronofix is saying is correct lets get going '

Chronolia and revenine nodded

And so we entered the burned church and started searching we checked all the rooms but found no one until we finally opened the chapel doors there was a little girl sleeping there on a black throne

Then she opened her eyes and gazed upon us the power of her gaze decayed everything around us I gazed right back at her nullifying her power with my own

Then I asked her ' who are you ?'

She replied while giggling ' me oh I am just DEATH '

I said to her annoyed by her reply ' stop fooling around and tell me really who exactly are you '

She replied once again giggling ' okay how's this lets play a game and if you win I shall tell you who I am '

I thought to myself ' what kind of game would this girl want play with me it cant be that bad right and no matter what it is I I will win '

So I said ' alright I accept '

Then at lightening fast speed a punch came right at my face I blocked it with my hand

Then she said to me ' great lets see who dies first you or you hahahaha '

I replied to her ' so thats how you want to play huh fine by me '
