Chapter 116:

Mimi's birthday [Bonus 8]

Spice of Life

January 20th 2017...

Everyone whistled as Mimi strolled into the restaurant with Helga.

"Well how do I look?" Mimi smiled as she twirled around in a sapphire blue dress.

"You look good in a dress," Rika smiled.

"She needed some new clothes badly. I couldn't believe she only had 3 different sets of outfits, and that's including her work uniform," Helga growled as the two sat down.

"So what will it be for the birthday girl and her girlfriend?"

"Danablu cheese!" Mimi proclaimed.

"Perfect, I had a feeling you'd say that so I made sure we had plenty of Danablu cheese stocked up."

...

As Mimi and Helga ate their food and enjoyed themselves, Rika went to serve Eluf some koldskål with kammerjunker. "She's finally grown a year older," Eluf nodded.

"I'm glad. I'll also be celebrating when she reaches her first full year since being unfrozen," Rika smiled. "Though, I am a bit curious. How did she even end up frozen in the first place."

"I assume she wouldn't tell you because it technically still is classified. I don't care about that, so I'll enlighten you. Mimi told you of our old team, yes?"

"Yeah, I even met Marzi, Mille, and Vivi back when I first unfroze her. The only other members she mentioned that we didn't find were Sherry, Katrina, and Hylda."

"All of whom are likely dead."

"But how did your team get wiped?"

"It isn't a pleasant tale. Essentially, we were betrayed by a teammate."

"I remember Marzi and Vivi arguing about that."

"Vivi did betray the team, however, her betrayal was due to being broken from all the torture she was subjected to. She was also tricked."

"What do you mean?"

"When she was held captive, she was tricked into thinking that her captured friend would be spared if she cooperated, but she was the only one that had been caught at the time. In terms of mental fortitude, her's was the lowest on the team, making her optimal for capturing and brainwashing. Of course, the whole reason she ended up captured was because we were ambushed on our initial mission. Since Marzi didn't come with us, Vivi was quick to pin the blame on her and accuse her of being the traitor. I myself didn't take it too seriously, until an incident that occurred after the team wipe."

"What was it?"

"First let me set the stage. When Vivi was released from captivity, she betrayed the team shortly after, resulting in Mimi, Mille, and Hylda being captured by Crimgulag, or I guess as they're known after the world merger, the Soviet Union. When Sherry heard the news, she was furious and went alone to confront and kill Vivi. Vivi claims that she emerged victorious and killed Sherry before returning to the Soviet's base where she freed Mimi before freezing her. The world merge likely happened just after that. Vivi then claims she took Mimi to the cryogenics lab here in Japan before going into hiding. As for Katrina, she ended up becoming the scapegoat and was sentenced to imprisonment and death by torture by the Danish government."

"Why!?"

"Katrina was originally a notorious thief before being captured by the then Danablu government and forced to become a spy. She never got along with the government, but she did her job as a spy admirably. However, Marzi ended up being one of the loudest voices blaming her for the team wipe. As she was taken away, she promised me she'd break out one way or another."

"Didn't you say you found her corpse?"

"Correct, but I still believe she was able to send her consciousness elsewhere, or at worst, reincarnated. As for Hylda, I managed to find her in her final moments. She revealed that she had been forced to bear a child and had just done so, however the child was nowhere to be found. Though now I know that her child grew up to become Helga's mother. That just leaves Mille unaccounted for. You told Mimi she was dead, yes?"

"When I checked her place a few years ago, the new resident said that she had passed. We both saw Marzi die, and apparently Vivi ended up dead in the forest that same day. I wonder if that piece of shit Ookuma was there just so she could kill Vivi."

"Just curious, but how did Mille look when you saw her?"

"she looked to be in her seventies. Mimi thought it was a disguise, but I guess it wasn't. She claimed the torture caused her to age up."

"Hmm. Strange, I find it odd she was living in Japan all this time. The last time I ever saw her was right before she was captured. Even when I ditched the Danish government, Marzi was still able to track me down. It was actually through her that I learned that Vivi was in Japan. She had apparently been moving around in order to avoid being caught. I was then able to track Vivi down and meet with her. However, neither of those two knew what happened to Mille. I could tell Vivi was lying about not knowing about Mimi, but for Mille she seemed genuinely clueless. I wonder if she's still alive. She was a master of disguise, second only to Marzi in her prime, though now I easily top her."

"You think she's still working as a spy?"

"Possibly... But another thought floated into my mind as well. Though if she's truly dead, than nothing more is up for discussion."

...

"I had such a nice birthday," Mimi smiled as she lounged with Helga on one of the upstairs sofas.

"Glad you did. You still look just as young though," Rika smiled.

"It's the milk. I feel like that Danablu cheese also boosted my cuteness and breast size up a notch too."

"They look and feel the same to me," Helga growled as she groped Mimi's breasts.

"Well, I heard the Ginkawas are known to have massive breasts. Hmm, guess this means the crepe goddess will make my melons look like oranges when she's all grown up," Rika laughed.
