Chapter 120:

Here comes the baby [Bonus 12]

Spice of Life

Rika grimaced in pain as she clutched her stomach.

"Rika, what's wrong!" Masaru cried.

"He's coming. I think he's coming," Rika groaned.

"Let's leave immediately then."

"Need a ride?" a group of paramedics asked as they stood up from their table.

"I couldn't possibly ask you to interrupt your meal to-"

"Relax, we're used to not being able to sit down and enjoy our meals at our own pace. We'll just get some to-go boxes and finish up later," one of the paramedics smiled.

"Thanks. Everyone, we will be departing in order for Rika to give birth," Masaru announced.

Patrons immediately rose and began clapping.

"Congratulations!" one smiled.

"You've grown boy," another smiled.

"Here, here," another clapped.

Rika began to smile as the paramedics ushered her away.

"I will be going with Rika. Itsuki! You're in charge!" Masaru shouted as he followed the paramedics.

"You've truly grown, Masaru Ryono," Itsuki smiled.

...

Rika grimaced in pain as she laid in bed.

"Just breath in and out," the nurse nodded.

"Guh- GAAAAAAAAH!"

The sound of an infant crying rang out throughout the room.

"Looks like a healthy baby boy," the nurse smiled as she motioned for Masaru to cut the umbilical cord.

As the baby was cleaned and wrapped up in a blanket, Masaru clutched Rika's hand as her breathing stabilized.

"I- Is he born!?" Rika groaned.

"He's right here," the nurse smiled as she handed the baby to Masaru.

"Ah, how do I hold a baby!?" Masaru cried.

"Gently support the infant. Make sure to always support their head."

The baby suddenly began to cry.

"Heh, guess he's hungry. Well, let's see how he likes some exclusive milk," Rika grinned as she exposed her breasts. The baby blinked before latching on to Rika's right breast and drinking the milk. "Drink up, little guy," Rika smiled.

"Now, what do you plan to name the baby?" the doctor asked.

"Uh, any ideas?" Rik asked Masaru.

"You're asking ME!?" I have no idea. As long as it isn't some weird name," Masaru grumbled.

"Then how about Togarashi?"

"Yes, that is fine."

"Then Togarashi it shall be," Rika serenely smiled as she gazed down at her newborn son.

...

"They'll be keeping you here for a day," Masaru stated.

"I feel fine though," Rika grumbled.

"It's also to make sure Togarashi's healthy. I'm allowed to spend the night here too, so no need to worry. I even agreed to help cook breakfast tomorrow."

"Well, guess I better call the restaurant to tell them the good news," Rika grinned as she started up a video call.

"About time we saw your face, we're nearly about to close," Itsuki smiled.

"Hey, he was enjoying it inside me," Rika grinned as she held Togarashi in front of the camera.

"Wow, he's got your hair," Mimi smiled.

"And Masaru's eyes. Bet he'll be scurrying around the place once we get back."

"Babies don't learn to crawl THAT quickly," Matcha glared.

"We could build a crib and house him in the changing room while you're both at work," Zuina suggested.

"Good idea. I don't think his grandma would be able to function if she saw him," Rika laughed.

"Speaking of which, I called mother to tell her, but the line went silent when I told her Togarashi had been born," Masaru stated.

"Many patrons also left cards and gifts," Itsuki stated as she panned the camera over to a mountain of cards.

"Heh, guess we'll be doing a discount special when I'm back," Rika smiled.

Rika then ended the call and turned to face Masaru.

"As much as I would like to stay by your side for your entire stay, I will be cooking breakfast tomorrow," Masaru stated.

"No worries. Guess I'll get Dr. Masaru's medical meal plan. Oh, and make something good for lil Toga," Rika grinned.

"Very well, I've never made baby food though."

The next morning, Rika was discharged and made her way to the cafeteria with Togarashi.

"How long until you let him go?" Rika asked the general manager.

"As soon as he makes the breakfast," he replied.

On que, Masaru exited and handed the manager a serving of breakfast. "I did my best with what I was given," Masaru stated.

The manager tried it and immediately slurped it up. "Once again, you did great. I'll be sure to stop by the restaurant for my lunch break. Also, congratulations to you both on the birth of your child.

Once they had left, Rika, Masaru, and Togarashi headed for Ryokoma.

"Wonder how he'll react when he sees the place," Rika grinned.

"He's just a baby," Masaru sighed.

"Babies can remember stuff from when they were born."

"It's very uncommon though."

"Well, Zuina said they got a baby area all set up in the changing room. Guess lil Toga can rest easy while we work."

"While I work. You can cook again tomorrow."

"Heh, whatever you say," Rika smiled as she kissed Masaru on the lips.
