The Battle Continues

Advanced Fire.

Finally, Elise, who has always insisted on using the Basic Fire spell to solidify the basics, allowed me to use the advanced version. My skills in ancient language pronunciation must have solidified enough.

The pillar of fire spell streaked through the air towards Eric.

After a moment of silence, the arena erupted with gasps of surprise.

The spell hit Eric's magical armor with unexpected precision, forcing him temporarily back.

Clara quickly tried to cover Eric with a healing spell, but Elise didn't miss the opportunity and conjured a "Magic Shield!" to protect both of us while maintaining distance.

"Stay calm, Akira!" Elise encouraged.

I nodded, and we continued to apply pressure on Eric and Clara from a medium distance as planned.

"Coward, running away?"

Eric tried to disrupt our focus with taunts, but we didn't bite and kept our cool, choosing our spells carefully.

Eric's shout spell was powerful, but ineffective from a distance.

Realizing this, he began to chant the Master Fire, a high-damage spell.

I quietly cast the whirlwind spell to increase our distance.

"Flame Shield!"

Elise quickly put up a defense.

"It's hot!"

"Get back," she instructed, and we continued to keep our distance.

"OK, the damage is within expected limits," Elise reassured me as she healed my injuries, and I maintained our separation from Eric.

"Distance is good! Launching Advanced Long Fire now!"

We chanted together, and a fireball soared towards Eric.

Elise controlled the direction of the flames.

Her magical intuition never ceased to amaze me.

The moment her fireball hit Eric, the arena once again filled with cheers.

Our tactics and skills were clearly overwhelming Eric, much to the surprise of the audience who hadn't expected our pair to perform so dominantly against the top-ranked pair.

"Well done, Akira! Let’s keep up the pressure!" Elise’s voice filled the field.

Following her lead, I prepared for our next move.

Eric, meanwhile, watched for a chance to counterattack.

"Clara! Let's use the chant magic too!"

He began to chant Master Fire, and Clara joined in the chant.

Just as Elise had predicted, they acted exactly according to her calm analysis.
