Chapter 86:

Losing Virginity

Voice Academy Diaries

From Akira's Perspective

I spent a night with Elise and finally lost my virginity. In Japan, romance among high schoolers is usually a hidden affair, but here, it was surprisingly straightforward.

Elise has accepted living in a female body, and I, in turn, have decided not to return to Japan but to live in her world as her husband.

The next morning, while she was brushing her hair, I decided it was time to act. I don't believe Congressman Amadeus will simply sit back and do nothing. He must surely have reliable information that Eric is in the infirmary.

I've heard that there was quite an upheaval before the infirmary staff agreed to take him in. Political strife has even infiltrated the school. If we just wait, we'll slowly be driven into a corner as if strangled by a silk thread.

Gathering information is the first step, and we don't have the luxury of time. I first asked Eric where he hid the evidence to accuse Congressman Amadeus, but he wouldn't tell me. That's understandable.

If I went to retrieve the evidence and got ambushed, I could be killed along with the evidence. It seems I'm trusted as a person but not so much for my capabilities. Or perhaps, he doesn't want to involve me in danger.

However, Eric is desperately seeking a key witness, Krice, who would likely come out with the evidence if she were brought in. Krice, I hear, is a former secretary of Amadeus.

There might be someone in the academy who knows her whereabouts. It's critical to identify who can be trusted and who cannot. I received a list of trustworthy teachers from the infirmary doctor, who cautioned me against doing anything risky.

However, it's clear that taking some risks is necessary to overcome this crisis. In the end, the teachers couldn't provide any significant information.

The only useful thing I learned came from a social studies teacher: "Krice had evidence of the congressman's illicit dealings but vanished due to fearing for her life." It only added credibility to what I suspected.

To get more information, it seems I must travel to Elise's hometown, right into the lion's den of Congressman Amadeus.

Just as the long holiday was beginning, I packed my bags to set off alone. I didn't want to involve Elise in danger.

"Wait!"

As I was about to leave the academy, Elise ran after me.
