Chapter 3:

Chapter 4 (The Hall of Weizzas)

Ankh Holder (Season 2) (The Reboot edition)

As the light faded away, the trio found themselves in a mysterious location. From their observation, it was dazzled with mists. Mists in the front, mists in the back, mists everywhere. Above them was a stone roof supported by pillars. The rocks that made the roof and the pillars were quite ancient. On the pillars, there were also inscriptions in Sanskrit.

“To flaming ghost, to the realm of Raksashas, to the coven of forest elves, to the hall of Weizzas,” Zeya read and said, “Ma Saw, where have ye taken us?”

His understanding of languages was part of Ankh’s power. But it impressed Saw Nan Mon as she only knew the basics of Sanskrit and some Mantras. So, secretly, she hid her impression. Shin Ye Htut, however, was shocked by the words “Flaming ghosts,” and “Raksashas,” (Raksasha= human eating monsters in Indian and Southeast Asian mythology) As usual, he controlled his fear in front of others, especially in front of Ava people.

Saw Nan Mon instructed them to follow her and walk beside a pillar. After the fight steps, they began seeing lights. Walking in the light, they arrived at a vast, splendid hall.

The interior of the hall was built with smooth marble, the ground was with brown marble. At the ceiling, there hung illuminating quartz stones as chandeliers. The colors of the quartz stones weren’t only white but also yellow, brown, and green. The lights were not too bright and gave coziness and warmth. The scent of Sandalwood was also present in the hall. Not too sharp, yet enough for aroma.

There were sitting places for many people. These places were constructed like a theatre and circled the hall. There were four stages of the sitting place sections. On the uppermost section, old ascetics and monks sat. Some of the monks' wears were alien in Zeya’s eyes. Some wear long hats. The others with threaded hats. In the middle two sections, there sat Weizzas (Mystics) and Yogis. Some Weizzas were old. Some were young. Not all are Burmese, but Javanese, Malaysians, Cambodians, and many more Asians. In the lowest section, witches and local spirits sat.

As per Zeya’s observation, despite a few monks, most were egoistic. Even their words contained tones of ego and superiority. For Shin Ye Htut, everything was breathtaking. He could not even control but observe like a kid in a garden. The place they were standing was a field amidst the stages of the observer, similar to an arena area of a colosseum.

Some of the weizzas were talking, some were showing off their skills, some were arguing, some were yelling, all were loud, and only a few noticed the trio’s arrival. As they see Zeya,

“Ha, Saw Nan Mon, why did ye take humans to our realm?”

“Our realm is not for humans!”

Noises appeared.

Saw Nan Mon said, “Here, this person came out of U Agga’s layer alive!” and pointed to Zeya. All monks, weizzas, yogis, spirits, and witches were in awe of her words. All of their attention centered on Zeya. Hundreds of eyes gazed upon him but Zeya was not shaken. He stood silently. No one ever thought of Shin Ye Htut. To Zeya, they said,

“The look of a mighty man, he is,” “He’s so young!” “Wonder what his magic was,” “He looks strong,” “What creature he may be, Gap?” “Aww, he’s a cutie! He gonna be my future husband!”

Zeya stood still, and an old weizza said, “Wait! Stop chattering! Let’s ask him our questions, one by one. Let me ask him first. Young man, are you a medical weizza?”

“I am not, Sir,” Zeya replied politely and steadily. A yogi stood up and asked,

“An Iron weizza or a mercury weizza?”

“No,”

An old monk asked, “Which state of Samatha (Calmness of mind) have ye got?”

“No state,” he replied

“Which kind of magic do you use? The act or Gandhari or the magic of nature spirits?” A witch asked him.

“I used no magic,” he spoke.

“Hey, Saw Nan Mon! What creature is he? He is no weizza!” A Tigerman from the weizza section yelled at them. He had a Shan accent, his body was full of yellow hairs just like a tiger, and his head was that of a tiger, thus Zeya recognized him as the Tigerman. Yet, he can stand like a man. Zeya was irritated by the fact that a half-human-half-tiger asked him, “What creature is he?” At least he looked more humane than that creature. The creature continued,

“Now he has angered U Agga! His wrath will be upon us soon! Saw Nan Mon, you took a troublemaker!”

Zeya was left speechless by the Tigerman’s words. How could a might weizza speak this? How could he be that coward?

“Yes, Yes,” “We’re in trouble now!” Chatters appeared amongst weizzas. Then, Zeya was furious. A great sense of disappointment covered his heart.

“I broke into a place that you, weizzas, couldn’t dare step. Where were you all when that ascetic appeared? Did not ye all know him? If ye knew, then were ye all dead? Are you all blind to see this ascetic doing a rampage and outright robbery of the citizens? Are you all dead by now? Am I now seeing the mighty, protecting, powerful weizzas or corpses!”

Because of his rage, Zeya spoke such harsh words. Since his childhood, he has heard tales of weizzas, magical beings, saving people in times of need, protecting them from demons, etc. Now, the weizzas he saw could not save anyone, not even themselves. Fearing the ascetic U Agga to their bones.

As he said that, chatters of curses, swears, and vulgar appeared among weizza. Only the monks kept quiet, having their eyes shut. The weizzas cursed Zeya with the rudest words. A spirit woman even raised her longyi and cursed. Despite all these curses, Zeya remained silent afterward. Shin Ye Htut was shaking in horror as he feared the wrath of weizzas. Saw Nan Mon standing in her position, not knowing what to say.

“Ye, disaster, Ye dog, I’ll teach you to behave!”

A roar appeared from the audience and the Tigerman jumped into the field where Zeya was standing, initiating an attack. Quivering his mighty claws, he rushed towards Zeya. The hair from his neck was erecting as he rushed, his appearance was like that of a real tiger. At the speed of a bullet, he drove towards Zeya. The weizzas from the observer stages admired him and cheered him.

Zeya dodged the attack and grabbed the right hand of Tigerman quickly.

But the Tigerman, too, was quick and used his other hand to tear Zeya apart. He also made a heart-pounding roar. But Zeya stopped the hand that came to tear him with his palm. Having both arms grabbed, the Tigerman tried biting Zeya’s neck with his mighty fangs. But, with his psychic power, Zeya closed the mouth of the Tigerman. All the spectators were appalled by what they saw. The Ankh figure on Zeya’s torso also emitted lights.

Saw Nan Mon sat in a chair and made sure not to miss anything. She wanted to see Zeya’s powers and attacks. At first, when the Tigerman attacked Zeya, she planned to save him. But, as she saw Zeya was faster than her, she knew that her help would be in vain. Thus, she decided to watch. Shin Ye Htut, having nothing to do, sat beside her.

Zeya used his power and threw the 200-pound Tigerman away. His force was strong and the Tigerman was thrown, only stopping when he hit the wall.

“Bam!” A loud noise appeared as the Tigerman’s body slammed into the wall.

Even the wall was cracked by the weight of the Tigerman, and a nearby weizza had to fix it. But the Tigerman got up quickly, using all his might, and rushed towards Zeya again. He cast some spells, and small symbols appeared in the air. These symbols hit Zeya before he arrived. Yet, despite the attack of symbols, Zeya moved forward to the Tigerman.

Although designed to cause serious pain, by the protection of the Ankh, Zeya only had minor bruises on his chest and arms. Zeya flew to the rushing Tigerman and hit his chin, causing him to fall finally.

“Woah!! Super smash!!” “Is he a deva from the heavens?” “He just made one of us fall! Are we supposed to be standing here?”

Noises appeared from the crowd. Some were frightened, some were angered, some cheered, and all were loud. Shin Ye Htut asked Saw Nan Mon “What should we do now?” and Saw Nan Mon replied, “Don’t know,”

“Hey, be quiet, everyone! All were noisy in chatter,” A deep, old, authoritative voice appeared from the audience. An old man from the third row arose and said. He was a bit short and held a staff. His hair was still black but his skin was in wrinkles. He wore an expensive black shirt and a brown longyi (Sarong). He also wore a head wrap. His appearance was like a rich man.

Upon seeing the old man, Saw Nan Mon greeted him in a deep respect. Shin Ye Htut followed her. The old man pointed Zeya and said,

“Young man, I have some words to tell,”
