Impossibly Possible

Ivaylo sank to his knees, covering his face with both his palms. This experience opened for him a brand new box of worms in his life. With tears streaming down his cheeks, he looked up at Paetyn, reaching out his hand, grabbing her by the wrist, and pulling her into his embrace.

He began to cradle her in his arms, pressing his head onto her chest and continuing with a silent whimpering. This time, it wasn't a desperate or hurtful cry...

To make sure, he needed to confirm his suspicion before breaking the news to Paetyn and Kay. He didn't wish to bring their hopes up for something, that just "might" be true. Ivaylo wanted it to be one hundred percent of assurance.

The whole time, Kay was just dumbfounded about Ivaylo's emotional outburst. What was he up to? Paetyn also didn't understand, what was going on. Did it finally sink in for Ivaylo that she is pregnant, because of the test? She was worried about it.

Despite coming to terms with it herself, she was worried about Ivaylo and about the "bloody antics" he always pulls, when something goes wrong. Will he repeat it today?

Ivaylo was still nuzzling his face to her chest, clutching her body to his, as he looked up at Paetyn and gave her a kiss with a smile. What the hell is going on with him?! Paetyn and Kay were left baffled. Did he finally lose it? Or does a wish for a child is stronger now than the circumstances of the recent past?

Ivaylo stood up with Paetyn in his arms. "We have to go!" Kay reached out to him. "What are you talking about? Where are we going?" Ivaylo slightly turned with flustered Paetyn in his arms. "You will drive, you wouldn't fit in my car."

Kay looking perplexed at Ivaylo's sudden positive attitude just followed his orders. He looked content as he was placing Paetyn into Kay's car buckling her up himself and then sitting down next to her.

Kay entered his vehicle and questioned about the destination. Ivaylo gave him the address, which Kay punched into the navigation and his eyes went wide. "But that's a Beastman hospital." Ivaylo with a smirk answered. "I know."

Kay observed him in the rare mirror and without any other word, started the engine. Paetyn's eyes went back and forth between the two of them. She also didn't understand, what was going on, but with great patience, she expected to find out at that place.

Kay's car was huge, but not that much. Ivaylo expressed his opinion about it right away through the ride. "I thought your car would be bigger." Kay smiled from behind the steerwheel.

"I could get a bigger one, but I didn't want to scare Paetyn. This is the smallest model I could get. I do brush my ears against the upholstery, but I don't mind it that much. Small price to pay, just to be able to drive her around. I am happy, she feels comfortable in it." Ivaylo put his hand over Paetyn's smiling at her.

Ivaylo again took Paetyn into his arms and carried her the whole way into the Beastman hospital and he headed directly to his family doctor. All eyes fell on the weird trio walking in. Paetyn felt overly uncomfortable.

It was her first time in such a building, everything was huge in comparison to her. Various types of predatory Beastmen walking the halls were staring and glaring. She felt like she would get eaten alive at any moment. She pressed her face into Ivaylo's chest closing her eyes.

Her fear made her tremble and Ivaylo squeezed her with a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Don't worry, I will protect you!" A fox core Beastman opened the door of his office after Kay's knock on the door.

Ivaylo put Paetyn on her feet and pushed her inside. The surprised fox looked her up and down or more like low and even more lower. Ivaylo didn't hesitate to express his wish. "I want you to examine her. She is pregnant."

The Beastman was confused about that request. "I must apologize to you! Despite being your family doctor, I must decline." The fox in a white doctor's coat, adjusted his glasses with one finger, giving a glare to Paetyn with the slits of his eyes. "After all, I am a Beastman doctor, specializing in Beastman anatomy. I don't treat... HUMANS!"

Ivaylo made a step forward, looking down at him and narrowing his eyes. "I don't ask you to, I order you to DO IT!" The fox Beastman got frightened by Ivaylo's pushy behavior and when he glanced at the Doberman, who accompanied him, he got scared even more by Kay's glare. 

He raised his paws in front of him to create a distance. "Fine! Fine! I will, just please sit down in the hall. But we don't have any human pregnancy tests." Ivaylo smirked. "A Beastman's test will also be okay."

The doc was confused, probably Ivaylo didn't know, that won't work, because of the difference in anatomy and hormones between humans and Beastmen, but to make him shut up and be done with it as soon as possible, he agreed with it.

Ivaylo caressed Paetyn on the back. "Don't be scared! We will be right in front of the door, you will be okay." ...And shooting a menacing look at the fox. The Beastman understood that warning. He had to be nice to her and just do his job.

Paetyn was flustered, because a male looking at her private parts... She wasn't scared of him, because he was a hybrid, with the whole fox head thing going on... but why a male?! Paetyn let him do the initial test and while it was taking its time, she got ready for the examination, but now there was another problem. The table was too high.

The fox doctor saw it and without any hesitation helped her. "May I?" He scooped her from her feet into his arms and placed Paetyn up. He calmed down and even smiled now. He sensed, that she was as much uncomfortable as him right now.

The ultrasound showed a fetus, as Ivaylo said and then he glanced at the pregnancy test results and his eyes widened in disbelief. The door shot open and the fox stood in the door frame, test in hand.

"HOW?! This is GROUNDBREAKING! The impossible became possible?!"
