The First Fight

CHAPTER 2

THEIR fight began quickly, Random runs towards Sword and strikes her sword down upon him. Sword parries her strike and pushes her back. He closes the distance and hits her in the chin with the butt of his sword. Random stumbles backward and winces, she moves to rub her chin but Sword follows up with another attack. She narrowly manages to raise her sword in time and blocks his attack. The two stand in a stalemate waiting for the other to make their next move as they hold their blades against each other. Sword jumps back to put some distance for his next attack, he runs forward and jumps into the air. Thinking quickly, Random slides under Sword as he thrust his sword into the ground. Random spins around to attack Sword but he spins faster, however Swords grip was weak and his sword fell out of his hand with the contact of their blades. Sword rolls back to get away from Random.

“Not bad…” Sword says catching his breath, “Now I gotta get a bit more serious!” Sword runs to his sword and his chest begins to glow, unnoticed by the two of them. Random seems to slow down giving Sword enough time to grab his sword. Sword stops in front of Random and takes a firm stance, he goes to strike and Random finally reacts.

“AH!” She screams and falls on the ground.

Sword stands above Random, he tugs at his hoodie realizing his chest is feeling hot. He raises his sword above his head and looks down at Random. Random scooches backwards, making an audible gulp, unsure if she’s prepared to fight more. Sword sheaths his sword and offers Random a hand. “You won,” he says “You were pressuring me good, and you managed to knock my sword out of my hand, very impressive for your first time!”

“I won!? You had me on the ground, I couldn’t defend myself.” Random takes his hand and gets up.

“I would’ve lost the moment I let go of my sword, so for that I’ll give you the win.”

“Thank you! I was nervous at the end cause I could barely keep up, and then you said you were gonna get serious!? I thought I was done for! Especially when you seemingly teleported in front of me!” Random realizes Sword is still holding her hand and quickly pulls it away getting flustered.

“Wait. Teleported?” Sword grabs his chest feeling the burn get stronger. “I’m sorry, somethings going on I hafta go.” Sword runs out of the forest hurrying to his apartment leaving Random by herself. The pain in Sword's chest grows stronger causing him to buckle and fall to the ground in front of the restaurant Aphy’s.

“What was that glow?” I ask.

Sword stumbles up and looks around, he pauses and stares at the Aphy’s restaurant. His chest burns again waking him from his trance, He continues walking and stumbles into his apartment, reaching his room he collapses on his bed and passes out.
