Chapter 5:

AJ

Shift

“Ok so first I have Botany Science Class II, then Astronomy Class, then Astrology Class, my forth class is Psychic Training Class II, then we have Combat Class, last is Sending Off Training Class II. Yours is Botany Science II with me, Political History Class second, then Leadership Management Class, then Clairvoyance Class, we both have Combat Class yay, lastly Ghost Communication Class.” Summer says as we walk (I walk fast, and she bounces with every step) unprompted.

“Yes Summer I know our schedules.” That’s how Summer’s brain works. A mile a minute cataloging everything as she goes.

“Next is?” I ask though I know the answer.

“Clairvoyance class.” She says all chipper like always. I smile.

“See ya after.” I say. This class has folding cots lining the walls. A teacher sits on her desk in the front of the class reading a book, my sharp eyes catch the title: Dreams and there Meanings. We have to know the difference between a dream and a vision. Some people tend to get visions when they’re awake while others tend to get them when they’re asleep. I’m the former. Summer is the latter. She gets really powerful visions. While my ghost communication skills are better than hers. Though I’ve never seen anyone send off as well as she can. This is my favorite class. All classes should have a ‘nap time’.

“Take your seats please.” Miss. Sabrina says. Her cat tail swishes as she talks. I sit next to Midnight who also has this class. She’s the most powerful clairvoyance I’ve ever met. We all have the typical psychic abilities. Visions of the future asleep and awake, and ghost communication. We can all shift and send off. But how good we are at it is about talent and practice. I write an essay on my latest dream, and signs in it. Then in the last fifteen minutes we fold out the beds. I’m asleep in seconds. My dreams are frighting. Summer being chased by something. Then it changes to us making our way though a crowd the smell of cotton candy, and popcorn in the air. Then it changes again. A room, solid and empty except for my sister gagged on the floor. Her wrists bound with rope. I growl. I become so angry I wake up. I’m not the only one up. Midnight is too.

“AJ I’m so sorry. Your sister. She’s at the Westwood fair. Do you want my help?” She says urgently. I send a quick text to Summer, warning her about the first part of my dream.

Got it handled :) She texts back. She’s so strong. Strong enough to be a beta. Enough to be an alpha one day maybe. Then I get a call. I answer it. It’s my dad. My sisters missing.
