Summer

Me and my bunny self merge. Before the teacher can even dismiss us I’m running for the dorms though the trees. I wanted to avoid him if I could, but I suppose it’s better this way. Better I take him out now so he can’t hurt anyone. If I can manage it. I shift bunny running as fast as I can. I feel his hot breath behind me. He’s bigger than me in both forms. Suddenly I shift human. I turn stabbing him in the back. That provides me the second I need to dump the vile down his throat. I jump up into the nearest tree branch. I balance on it holding the knife defensively. It’s a good thing AJ texted me. It’s a good thing I sent him coming. He staggers then falls to the ground. I check his pulse carefully. He’s dead. I drag his body to the river, take out my knife, and push him in. They’ll find him eventually. They’ll never suspect happy go lucky me though. AJ will know. AJ always knows.
