Chapter 34:
I saw a portal, so I entered it and I became the hero of prophecy
The morning sun shone down on this sacred forest.
On his majestic throne the horned demon was now gone.
The prophesied hero will now become a legend in this world.
This is the story of the victor.
This is the beginning and the end of the struggle of the hero who came from a foreign land.
And this is the story of a teenager who has been satisfied with his struggle.
"The world is your story."
"The ocean is your cry."
"And my prayers are always upon you."
"O you who is in despair."
********
The midday sun felt so strong between the shadows of the shady forest trees.
In one of the trees, a couple of teenagers were sitting and resting while eating the rest of their food supplies that they had previously left at the Dugeon gate.
"Huh... I guess this lunch isn't as good as before..." the young man complained.
"Of course it is, who was the dumb person who left our bags of food outside the hot Dugeon gate? Do you think the sun in the sky is just a decoration? Or do you think the sunlight is so cold that you don't need to care if our food supplies are spoiled?" Cecilia asked.
"But none of this would have happened if you hadn't rushed off while I still hadn't finished eating my meal!" Argued the young man.
"Five years." Cecilia said.
"Huh? What do you mean about five years?"
"I mean that it will take you five years to finish your meal."
"There's no way I'm going to spend that much time!"
"But look, if I had waited for you, the taste of this food would have been worse than it is now. Tch, ever since the battle I've been encouraging myself to keep fighting for this previously delicious meal, but... This is so disappointing! My happiness, my motivation, my struggle, has now been wasted!" Cecilia complained.
"How dramatic can be this person." The young man thought.
"Hey, hey, hey, come on you know that I didn't do it on purpose right? Besides, our lunch can still be eaten, right?" Said the young man.
"Hah... I am so sad... When one of your senses doesn't work maybe you will realize how painful it is if your remaining Joy is also taken ... by a dumb person." Cecilia replied.
"........."
"......."
"...."
"Umm... how did our conversation turn this grim?" Asked the young man.
"I don't know? I didn't even realize it either." Cecilia replied.
"..........."
"........"
"....."
"This is stupid." The two teenagers said simultaneously.
Hearing their words, the two of them then looked at each other and laughed so hard that the fatigue and pain in their souls had now completely disappeared.
As the two of them roared with laughter in the middle of the forest, they suddenly saw smoke and black clouds on the horizon of their village.
"Is that... rain?" The young man asked.
"Where?" Cecilia asked.
"In the village." The young man replied as he narrowed his eyes to see the strange scene before his eyes.
"It's impossible, because yesterday I already checked the direction of the wind and also the temperature, and besides at this time I also didn't hear the slightest thundering sound or the sound of gurgling water from the direction of my village." Cecilia said.
"Isn't that because we are so far away?" Asked the young man.
"Don't make fun of me, why would I train my hearing senses if I can't hear something I don't want to? And did you forget that I'm the protector of the village? But this is... weird." Cecilia said.
"What's wrong?" Asked the young man.
Cecilia then sharpened her sense of hearing even more and put one of her palms to help her sense of hearing.
"I hear... The sound of footsteps... The sound of burning wood and... The sound of... Screams!" Cecilia said with a terrified expression on her face.
"Are they probably having a party?" Asked the young man.
"No! That's impossible! Because I'm currently accompanying you here! You! Tell me immediately what you saw from my village!" Cecilia ordered.
Immediately the young man said everything.
Clouds without rain.
The billowing smoke.
And an orange glow that challenged the sun.
"That's... Disaster! DAMN YOU WALLACE!!!" Snapped Cecilia who then immediately darted away from the young man along with the explosive sound of her Sonic boom that was left behind.
"CECILIA!!!" Called the young man.
But unfortunately the call from the young man would never reach the already unreachable Cecilia's eardrums.
"I... Must go there!" Said the young man who then ran with his magic power that he had just gotten.
********
The clear village air was now suffocating her lungs.
" Suffocation... What exactly has happened to my village!?" Cecilia said.
Cecilia stood in the center of the village that had always been used as a place for parties and rituals by the residents.
"Hot... This is not a party, because there is no smell of food or drink in this place." Cecilia muttered.
Then Cecilia turned her face to the sky and sharpened her sense of hearing.
"Silence... There is no sound from anyone in this place other than the sound of the fire. Sherina... Wait for me." Mumbled Cecilia who then ran towards her family's house.
Suddenly there was a voice that seemed to soothe her heart, a voice that she was very familiar with.
"The sound of this bell..."
"Adel! Where are you! It's me! Cecilia!" Called Cecilia.
"Tea... cher?" A child's voice was heard amidst the sound of the fire that burned this village.
Hearing that answer, Cecilia immediately ran towards the origin of the voice.
But when running suddenly Cecilia fell, she did not expect that now in front of her there would be a hill that was so high in front of her family's house.
After climbing the high hill, Cecilia was finally able to embrace the body of her student who had been standing with his blood-drenched body.
"Adel! What happened!" Cecilia asked.
"Our village... The Emperor attacked our village... Like teacher... I fought, I kept fighting to protect everyone..." Adel said in a very soft and almost inaudible voice.
"Adel! Hang in there! I'll heal all your wounds!" Cecilia said.
"No... Don't... Behind... Your family... and some villagers escaped to the forest behind the house... Protect them. Because I... have to guard this place." Adel said.
"Adel... Your heartbeat..."
" Don't worry... Did you... Not see... The corpses of the emperor's soldiers... that have been... under my feet? Hehehe..." Adel said with a small laugh.
"Adel..."
While facing down her feet, Cecilia realized that this high hill was not a mound of rocks or soil, but a mound of corpses of the emperor's soldiers who had been killed by her student.
"Hey, Teacher... I'm better than him, right?" Adel asked with a small smile on his torn lips.
"...Yes, you are."
"Hehehe, now go... Just trust me with this place."
"But..."
"'Relax... I won't let you down... because I... am your greatest disciple...'" Adel whispered along with the fading sound of his heartbeat.
"...Alright, I'll leave this one to you." Cecilia replied while patting the shoulder of her student who was still standing.
Cecilia stood for a moment in front of her student.
She couldn't see her student...
She couldn't see the expression on her student's face...
And she could not even see the results of her student's achievements...
But her feet, her hands, and her body could feel the results of her student's struggle.
While descending the hill of corpses of the emperor's armored soldiers. Cecilia shed a drop of her tears.
"Great warriors don't need tears, so Adel... I will show them that your teacher will not disgrace your struggle!"
Cecilia immediately ran towards the forest behind her house.
"Bruk!"
Suddenly Cecilia tripped and fell down.
"I don't have time for this!"
Cecilia quickly stood up and resumed her running.
"Bruk!"
Cecilia fell down once again.
"What the hell!? Do you still want to stop me!? Fate!"
********
Meanwhile elsewhere, Julius the assassin and Dylan the speared knight who guarded the border area between the forest and the village began to feel Cecilia’s arrival.
“Hmm? Hey, Dylan! Do you think it looks like we’ve found our hunted woman?” Julius asked.
“Fire the flare, Cecilia… If the information that the two Bishops have said is true, then there’s no way the two of us can defeat her.” Dylan said.
“Heh! Those two are just exaggerating, after all, do you believe that the information they got really came from Wallace? And didn’t they get the information before Wallace fought with Yzak?” Asked Julius.
“… The information received by the bishops was really from Wallace, the information was said to be sent from Cernunos prison and used a code known only to the bishops and Wallace, and it also seems that Wallace who lost his memory seems to be fake.” Dylan said.
“Fake? Didn’t the two bishops say that he was the real Wallace? Is it possible that the two bishops were wrong when they examined him?” Julius asked.
“No, they weren’t wrong. As they said before, his body is Wallace, but his soul is not. It all happened because… Wallace’s body was stolen by that stranger’s soul.” Dylan replied.
********
The red smoke from the beacon that had just been fired was imprinted on the black and smoky sky.
Seeing that their quarry had been found, all the emperor's troops and the other five knights began to step their feet towards where the flare was.
The sound of the footsteps of the armored troops could be heard rattling Cecilia's eardrums from behind.
"Tch, it seems they have realized my presence." Muttered Cecilia who was now in the forest.
"One, two... A hundred? Tch, Too many and too noisy I can't be able to confirm their number." Complained Cecilia.
A few moments later the sound of the footsteps of the emperor's troops stopped. They gathered around Cecilia who was standing alone in the middle of the forest.
After making sure that Cecilia could not escape, a leader of the troops took a few steps forward and began to announce his orders.
"O you who are sinners! O you who do not believe in him! Submit yourself to him! Surely the emperor will forgive you!" The troop leader said.
Hearing the emperor's messenger's words, Cecilia immediately spat on the ground.
"Forgive me? After this destruction and after this massacre you say that the emperor will forgive me? DON'T SAY THAT! BECAUSE I AM THE ONE WHO WILL NOT FORGIVE HIM!!!" Cecilia snapped.
Then Cecilia immediately drew her two katanas that had been eroded by her previous battle towards the troop leader.
"My home, my land, my friends, everything! Do you think I will forgive you like the emperor will forgive me? Come over here! Because my katanas will try to forgive your stupidity." Cecilia said.
"You ignorant sinner!" The squad leader snapped.
"Hahahaha! How funny! Hey Yzak! Look! In just a short time your pet dog has turned 180 degrees!" Julius said.
"Stupid thing, I don't care about that mongrel anymore." Yzak replied.
"Hey Cecilia! Where are your manners? Look over here! Mr. Yzak has come to pick you up!" Mocked Julius.
But unfortunately Cecilia did not care at all about Yzak or Julius who called her.
"Siegmund! I know that you are here! Tell me! Why did those two bishops send their entire army to my village! And why are you all destroying and slaughtering these villagers!? Didn't your ancestors give us our freedom on the condition that we always give you our harvest!" Cecilia snapped.
"This is the Emperor's punishment for all of you! We have let you live in peace for a long time, but one of your citizens has been practicing the forbidden ritual. And we, the messengers, have come here to punish and kill the Priestess." Siegmund replied.
"But unfortunately, since we do not know who the Priestess is, we are forced to kill all of you. Well, anyway, the presence or absence of you mongrels will not change anything in this world." Yzak continued.
Hearing Yzak's words, Cecilia clenched her teeth angrily. Suddenly she remembered the words of her student who said about if her family and several residents had managed to escape from this genocide.
Remembering her student's message, Cecilia then smiled and then laughed.
"Hahaha! Kill all of us!? Stop joking! You think I don't know if there are actually many villagers who have managed to escape!?" Mocked Cecilia.
Then all the knights and the emperor's troops looked at each other with confused faces.
And after a while they all laughed so hard that their voices all sounded like the sound of demons conquering heaven.
Hearing their laughter made Cecilia confused and confused.
Seeing Cecilia who was confused, Yzak then opened his mouth and said.
"Hey mongrel! don't you know that joking also has its limits! Look at all the corpses around your feet! Do you think they are our troops?" asked Yzak.
Then Cecilia felt the ground using her feet and found the corpse that had previously made her fall.
"This..."
Cecilia then poked her katana into the bodies of the corpses and did not find the slightest bit of iron armor on them.
Cecilia was surprised because it turned out that she had stumbled not because of the corpses of the soldiers, but it turned out that the corpses that made her stumble frequently were the corpses of the villagers who had failed to escape from this Genocide.
Cecilia's mouth gaped, she was shocked by what she felt. Her fingers trembled, her legs went limp, and her tears were also on the verge of falling.
"Th... Then what did Adel say back then?"
Suddenly one of the female knights armed with two sica swords in her hands approached Cecilia from behind and tapped her on the shoulder while saying.
"Your disciple has failed. He did fight valiantly, but it was all in vain because he alone will never be enough to protect all these villagers. But unfortunately he is unwilling to accept the fact and still continues to fight to the death while saying that he will protect all of them." said the female who was one of the seven knights.
"Hahaha! You should have seen that! He was rampaging while saying, Calm down! I'll stop them! Hurry up and run! Everyone don't be afraid, entrust everything to me! But all the citizens had already been killed on the spot! How ridiculous! Perhaps his eyes were blinded so he couldn't see the corpses of the citizens who had been killed in front of him? Hahaha! What a fool!" Insulted Julius.
The laughter and insults towards his student continued to echo throughout the forest and village that was still burning.
Was her student's struggle in vain?
Was the result of her student's struggle just a failure?
No!
"I won't let it." Cecilia whispered.
Cecilia then slashed her katana and made the female knight who had been beside her move backwards.
Then Cecilia straightened her body and breathed in the air that was no longer fresh, as if it no longer had the blessing of the forest within it.
"Father, Mother, I'm sorry. My friends, Adel, everyone, I'm sorry. It seems this is the end of our struggle. And to you, my hero, I hope you will get the happiness you want in this disgusting world. Goodbye." whispered Cecilia who lowered her face to the ground.
"Adel, I can't believe you fought this many troops alone... Calm down, because your teacher will also fight as great as you. And watch! Because right now I'm also going to show them that your struggle was not in vain!"
The black clouds above them began to emit a terrifying roar, lightning and thunder flashed as if hunting down intruders who wanted to penetrate heaven.
And meanwhile under the thunder and the lightning stood a red-haired woman with her armor that had been damaged from fighting against the evil demon king.
All the troops and knights gathered around the demon slayer, but their gazes showed no admiration for her, no pride in her, and no gratitude for her fight.
They laughed, but they were contemptuous.
They approached her, but they were disgusted with her.
They looked at her, but they also glared at her.
"Farewell."
The red-haired woman's words were a prelude to the carnage that had just begun.
The explosive sound of a Sonic boom echoed through the place.
Like a comet, red lightning struck from all sides of the troops.
Their armor was useless, the woman's katana continued to slash at them like a hot knife cutting through butter.
Like a surgeon the woman cut her enemy right through the gaps of the sturdy-looking armor.
The red-haired woman was raging, her clean face showing no expression that should have been on it.
And in a very short time the troops were slaughtered without knowing what had happened to them, all they knew at that moment was the feeling of terror that filled their souls.
The red-haired woman stopped her movements and looked at the seven knights who had currently surrounded her.
"Wow, I can't believe that in such a short time you have become this strong? Could this be the result after you performed that forbidden ritual of yours? Disgusting!" Julius said.
Cecilia took a deep breath to release her fatigue. Then she lowered her face and tightened her grip on her katana.
"How many more lives do I have to sacrifice to achieve it? Hey, guys, please answer me." Cecilia whispered.
"This power and this magic... It's strange, in all of Cecilia's bios there is nothing that says she has red lightning magic like this." Said the knight armed with a bow and arrow to the other six knight friends.
"Then she only got it after she underwent the forbidden ritual. Huh, It's scary but it sounds like she's still inexperienced." Dylan said.
Meanwhile Yzak continued to stare and observe the small red lightning bolts that enveloped Cecilia's body.
"No... She has mastered it." Yzak muttered.
Then Cecilia took up her stance once again to dart and kill all the Seven legendary knights.
In response to Cecilia's actions, a female knight with black hair and armor with purple patterns stepped forward in front of Cecilia.
"Back off, I am the one who is going to kill her. Because I'm joining you all just so I can meet her." said the female knight.
Cecilia was surprised, her voice, her scent, her footsteps. So many times she had fought together with the owner of that voice.
"Kalina?" Cecilia murmured.
"Yes." Answered the black-armored knight briefly.
Hearing Kalina's answer made Cecilia a little surprised and loosened her katana grip.
"Why is Kalina siding with the empire? Didn't Kalina say in all her previous worlds that she didn't want an unjust world like this? Didn't she hate a world where humans never understood each other!?" Cecilia thought.
As if knowing the contents in Cecilia's mind, Kalina immediately snapped and broke Cecilia's reverie with her beautiful voice.
"This is my payback! Because of you Big bro is tormented! Because of you Big bro was humiliated! Because of you Big bro was scorned! But it's also because of you that Big Brother lost his magic and his memories! Although it was short, I felt very happy because for the first time Big Bro wanted to accept me as his younger sister. Even though at that time he had lost his memory and magic, it was also because of you that I was able to feel closer to Big Brother! If it wasn't for you, maybe I would never have experienced this momentary happiness! But if it wasn't for you... Right now, Big Bro would be living happily beside me! THEREFORE, RETURN MY BIG BRO TO ME!" snapped Kalina who without thinking immediately jumped and lunged towards Cecilia using the Black Fire Claws that were burning in both of her hands.
"What are you even talking about!? You crazy dog!" Cecilia snapped.
Cecilia swiftly sheathed one of her katanas and deflected Kalina's attack using her remaining katana.
"TELL ME! WHERE ARE YOU HIDING MY BIG BRO!?" Kalina snapped with smoke and black flames coming out of her mouth.
"Don't you realize it!? That man is not your brother anymore! Your brother... That cruel Wallace who tortured you for so long is dead!" Cecilia replied.
"SHUT UP! DON'T INSULT MY BIG BRO EVER AGAIN! THEY'RE RIGHT! BIG BRO IS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF YOU! IF YOU HADN'T SET YOUR FILTHY FEET IN OUR HOLY CITY BACK THEN, BIG BRO WOULDN'T HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THAT! BURN AND DIE YOU SINNER!" Kalina snapped.
Hearing Kalina's accusations made Cecilia feel angry and irritated, never in the world would she have guessed that one of her comrades in arms would call her a sinner.
"Enough! I don't care anymore if you used to be my friend or my comrade! If it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you'll get! Get ready, my friend! Our friendship has been destroyed since you called me a sinner!" Cecilia said.
"CIH, YOU DREAMER! HOW COULD I EVER BE YOUR FRIEND! YOU SINNER!" snapped Kalina who then jumped back and released a huge black fire claw towards Cecilia.
"Cih, like Wallace, I've seen all your wild attacks for over a thousand times!" Snapped Cecilia who then darted through the gap in the line of giant black fire claws and attacked Kalina.
Kalina was surprised, she didn't think that Cecilia, a woman she had heard of as a calm person, would mindlessly advance towards her attack.
"Tch, if the long-range attack doesn't work, then..."
Suddenly, a sound like metal clashing could be heard between the two of them.
Kalina smiled to hide her laughter, while Cecilia was shocked by what was happening before her.
A lightning-fast attack that was impossible for normal people to see was stopped.
Using only one palm Kalina caught the katana blade calmly without causing the slightest injury to her body.
"Kalina... Did you perhaps..."
Cecilia's words were then cut off by Kalina who smiled widely like a psychopath.
"Hey, didn't you say before that you've seen my attack for a thousand times?" Kalina mocked.
Immediately Cecilia tried to pull out her gripped katana, but unfortunately Kalina's grip power felt so sturdy, even now it felt like Cecilia was pulling a sword that was stuck in the stone.
"Humph, it's useless. Your life, your deeds, and your determination, are all like this attack I just stopped." Kalina said.
"Tch!" Cecilia immediately jumped back while releasing her grip on the katana and pulled out her one remaining katana.
"Cecilia, I don't know you, but I do know that you studied at our school very diligently and hard. Your intelligence, diligence, and the Life force flowing through your body, made a sinner like you accepted into our school. But you threw all that away so easily just so you could sharpen this useless weapon of yours." Kalina said as she stared at the katana blade that was still in her grasp.
"...but it was all in vain, because like this weapon of yours, all the things you have will crumble and break like this sword." Said Kalina who then shattered and snapped the katana in her grasp using only one hand.
"Kalina... Have you mastered it?" Cecilia asked.
"Mastered... What?" Asked Kalina with a slightly confused expression on her face.
"No, forget it. That young man already has it, so there's no way you'll have it too." Cecilia replied.
"Hmm... So now Big bro is just like me? Great, then I don't need to hide it anymore! Cernunos Shadow of reincarnation!"
Along with Kalina's yell, a pair of black flame claws suddenly appeared on her feet and her hands.
A pair of smoldering black flame horns appeared above her head, and then the smoldering black flames traveled downwards to form a long tail.
Seeing what was happening, Cecilia was so shocked that she stepped back a little.
"Kalina! Don't be stupid! Do you really want to die consumed by your power? Stop your magic at once!" Cecilia snapped.
"Kuhuhuhu... This is strange, how could you possibly know that? Are you an esper by any chance?" Kalina laughed.
Meanwhile the six knights around her were confused by what was going on.
"That's... What kind of magic is that? And why i haven't seen it before?" Julius asked.
"Cernunos shadow of reincarnation, a magic that I have always wanted to master." Yzak replied.
"Yzak, do you know it?" Siegmund asked.
"Yes, I know it. Have you heard that Kalina is often called a cursed child and so on?" Yzak asked.
"I have heard that." Julius replied.
"I've heard that too, after all wasn't she ostracized by the villagers because of the black fire and her nickname?" Asked the female knight armed with two sica swords.
"The nickname did not come because Kalina wanted to imitate Wallace's power, but it came because the bishops and Wallace's family knew that Kalina was the reincarnation of Cernunos, or rather Cernunos' last attempt to escape from the seal prison that our ancestors had created." Yzak explained.
"Then why didn't Wallace and the bishops just kill her? Isn't Kalina dangerous?" Julius asked.
"That's because... It seems that the bishops have also made Kalina as their backup plan for all of them." Yzak replied.
While continuing to observe the flow of the battle between the two women, the female knight who was armed with two sica swords began to mutter.
"Maybe this is just my opinion, but it seems that if their fight continues then Kalina will also..."
"Yes as you said Caroline, Kalina will reach her limit and die. Therefore although I hate to say it but right now we cannot let Kalina be killed by her own magic. Because I... Still not done learning and mastering her magic." Yzak said.
The forest was on fire and rain began to fall to extinguish it.
Slash after slash continued to rain down on Cecilia who could only dodge.
Destruction occurred with each slash that released black flames that wiped out the entire forest.
Corpses burned and leaves dried up, even the heavy rain from the sky could not extinguish the black flames that felt many times hotter than Wallace's blue flames.
"This is annoying, even though I can attack her but I don't want my only remaining katana to be destroyed at her hands. It looks like this time I just need to dodge until Kalina runs out of her Life Force." Cecilia thought.
"Where's your pride!? Where is your cockiness!? Can you only just run away from your responsibilities until your sacred forest is burnt down!" Kalina challenged.
"Huh, even with that much power it seems you still won't be able to catch me." Cecilia retorted.
Suddenly, amidst the sound of burning flames, a foreign object cut through the air and shot towards the back of Cecilia's neck.
Realizing the attack, Cecilia immediately avoided it and looked for the direction of the origin of the attack.
Meanwhile at the same time, at a great distance from the position where Cecilia was standing, a knight armed with a bow was seen taking a position to shoot his arrow at Cecilia once again.
Knowing that, Cecilia immediately changed the target of her attack.
"So now you guys are starting to get serious with me huh? Well you first Egil the coward." Cecilia said while facing the bowed knight.
Cecilia then strengthened her body with her red lightning magic and darted very fast towards the bow-wielding knight, but unfortunately while Cecilia was darting she suddenly tripped a thread and immediately jumped up to avoid the trap she had just activated.
"BOOOM! BOOM! BOOOOM!"
Countless bomb blasts exploded around Cecilia towards the arrow-armed knight.
"Cih, this trap is too overkill, Julius huh?" Murmured Cecilia who was still floating in the air.
While Cecilia was still floating in the air, suddenly two sica sword blades that rotated like a Boomerang flew towards Cecilia from behind.
"Are you underestimating me? Caroline!" snapped Cecilia who turned her body like an Aerialst and avoided the two sica swords that attacked her.
Before Cecilia could catch her breath, suddenly a rain of light arrows that looked like hundreds of lasers shot chasing after Cecilia who had just finished avoiding Caroline's attack.
"Shit! So that was their plan huh? They baited me so that I'd lose my footing and then showered me with light arrows from behind my body huh? That's clever, but..."
30 centimeters before all the light arrows rained down on her body.
Cecilia calmed her mind.
Her heart beat rapidly, her blood flowed rapidly, and her soul felt like it was floating in space.
Dust and smoke stopped drifting, leaves and ashes stopped falling, and even the sound stopped vibrating in the air.
This was Cecilia's strongest magic, magic that accelerated all her cells and limbs that even made time seem to stop before her.
"Faster than the wind, faster than lightning, and faster than light. I am speed and speed is me."
"Strike, Lord of lightning!"
With her dazzling speed and dimension-cutting technique, Cecilia cut down all those arrows of light that were chasing her.
"That's... Impossible." Said Egil who saw his strongest magic being countered by an ordinary woman from the sinners.
His palms trembled, the results of his rigorous training and the magic attacks he was proud of were wiped out just like that.
Seeing Egil's condition, Siegmund patted Egil's shoulder and calmed him down.
"We will proceed to the next plan. Caroline and I will help Kalina to defeat Cecilia, while you fire your magic arrow to restrict Cecilia's movement." Siegmund ordered.
"What about me?" Dylan asked.
"Use your hunting instinct, if there is a chance, I want you to immediately use your cursed magic spear on Cecilia." Siegmund replied.
"Siegmund... Please protect Caroline." Egil said in a weak voice.
"Yes. Entrust her to me." Siegmund replied.
After all the knights' attacks failed, finally Cecilia could now set both of her feet back on the land she loved.
"Huh, maybe it's because I've been using lord of lightning magic that I feel like I haven't set my foot on this land for so long time." Cecilia muttered.
"DIE, YOU MONSTER!" Snapped Kalina who suddenly appeared beside Cecilia.
"Tch, you again! Don't you understand!? I don't want to fight you Kalina!" Cecilia snapped.
"Then give Big bro back to me!" Kalina snapped.
Kalina with all her might released her black fire Slash with an even greater amount than before.
"How stubborn! Didn't I tell you, your big bro is dead! Me and that young man already killed him! It's all over! You are free! And I'm free too! Because all the prophecies have come true! That young man has become the hero of the prophecy that defeated the horned demon!" Cecilia snapped.
Instantly all the knights were shocked.
"The prophecy... Has come true?" Siegmund muttered.
"That young man killed Wallace?" Yzak thought.
"Hey, hey, hey, how could that fake Wallace defeat Wallace? Did he also perform the forbidden ritual like her?" Asked Julius.
"This is ridiculous, there is no way Wallace can be defeated by two ordinary people like them." Egil said.
But unlike the other knights, Kalina did not show her surprised face, even now her face looked a little happy as if one of her burdens had disappeared.
"Then give that young man back to me! My heart... For the first time there is one person in this world who tried to understand me! He told me I was beautiful when everyone cursed and insulted my appearance, he hugged and lifted me up when I was beaten and dropped, and at the same time he also asked if I was his lover when no one wanted to accept me!" Kalina snapped.
Hearing Kalina's words, Cecilia who had been avoiding Kalina's attacks suddenly stopped her footsteps and knitted her eyebrows.
"Wait a minute, don't tell me this time you..."
"Yes! I love him!" Kalina's snarl cut off Cecilia's words.
On the other hand, all the knights who heard it were again shocked by Kalina's words that were beyond their common sense.
"He... Hey, didn't I mishear it?" Asked Dylan who had just finished taking a position to ambush Cecilia.
"I know you're weird, but what are you talking about right now Kalina!!!" Caroline snapped in her mind.
"I'm even more curious about that fake Wallace." Muttered Julius who was still hiding and preparing his trap.
"It seems that the conversation between these two women is not very good for my heart." Egil muttered.
"Egil, Cecilia has stopped moving, shoot her immediately." Siegmund ordered in a flat tone using his telepathic magic.
"Sh... Shoot!? At a time like this!?" Answered Egil who was also still confused.
But as a knight who had experienced and participated in many battles, Egil who was still in the distance immediately shot an arrow of light towards Cecilia's head from behind.
But as if she already knew it, Cecilia immediately tilted her head slightly to the left and avoided Egil's shot.
"BOOOOM!!!"
A huge explosion appeared between the two women.
Although the shot was large and shattered the ground in front of them, Cecilia and Kalina just ignored that powerful shot.
"Damn it! How can that woman keep knowing all the directions of my shots!" Egil snapped from a distance.
Meanwhile, the conversation about the forbidden love continued.
"Wa... Wait a minute, but isn't that... Incest?" Asked Cecilia with a puzzled expression on her face.
"I don't care! For the very first time he showed the light in my heart! Though he was hurt but he still smiled, though he was weak but he stood up for those weaker than him! No one understands his smiles and no one wants to understand his cries! So leave him to me! Because I... Will try to understand him as he understands me!" Kalina snapped.
Cecilia sharpened her hearing senses towards Kalina's heartbeat.
"She... Seriously? How could she? Of the thousands of futures I've experienced, only this one timeline contains Kalina falling in love with Wallace! This is ridiculous! This is impossible!" Cecilia thought.
"Leave him to me!" Kalina snapped.
"Hmm... Although I want to, but I can't. Look, don't you realize it? Your government system is full of flaws, do you think that young man will be able to live in peace after I hand him over to you? Even though he is strong, you should realize that you alone will not be able to protect him from any attacks. By accepting that young man, the emperor, the two bishops, your family, and even the citizens will increasingly insult and even expel you!" Cecilia explained.
"I don't care what they think! This is my life! And this is my wish too! After all, those who were kind to me in the first place just wanted to take advantage and use my name! I tried and I keep trying to understand them, but what? They just keep pushing and wanting to make me the leader of their stupid rebellion! They said that I could single-handedly destroy the emperor's empire, I could single-handedly defeat the city's seven legendary knights, and so on! What I truly want is for all humans to live together without hatred!" Kalina said.
"Then why are you slaughtering my villagers?" Cecilia asked.
"I didn't do it! It was the other six knights!" Kalina denied.
"But you are now also one of those knights!"
"That's because those two bishops have promised to give Big bro to me!" Kalina replied.
"And you trusted their word over mine?"
"Yes, to restore my family's standing I trust them more than you whom I do not even know!" Kalina replied.
"Never mind, all this talk is too late! I've already lost everything, while you also take their side over mine. Whatever! If you still want to point your claws at me then I will absolutely kill you!" Cecilia snapped.
"Then kill me! After all, all of this happened because of the actions you've done! Even the sins of mankind will look like cotton wool in front of your sins!" Kalina retorted.
"Take that back before your head really falls off. Because you will never understand how hard I fought for this world." Threatened Cecilia who had now taken her stance.
"Do it, if you can, you sinner!" Kalina replied.
Like a jet plane breaking the air, suddenly Cecilia was about to cut Kalina's neck using her katana, but fortunately at the same time Siegmund had stopped Cecilia's attack using his Zweihandēr.
"Siegmund!? What are you doing here! This is my fight!" Kalina snapped.
"No, this is our fight. Let's defeat this sinful woman and then find your big bro, that's why we can't spend too long in this place." Siegmund replied.
"Siegmund? So a knight as strong as you also wants to come attack me huh? Where is your pride? Have you now thrown it somewhere too?" Cecilia insulted.
With his Zweihandēr sword slowly heating up and emitting greenish light, Siegmund replied to Cecilia's words with a compliment.
"Cecilia in just a very short period of time you have really become very different, after reading the message from Wallace, after hearing the explanation from Yzak, and after seeing how you can counter Egil's strongest magic that is absolutely impossible to avoid, I am now convinced that you are the strongest human being in this world! Therefore, please forgive all of us who had to storm you! Show your anger! Gram!"
Suddenly a giant slash of green light slashed and knocked Cecilia kilometers away from that place.
"Egil! Now! Shoot him!" Siegmund ordered.
"Yes! O moon! Illuminate! Show me your arrow that will decide her destiny! Moonlight Arrow!"
A single arrow shot with its enormous size shot towards Cecilia.
Unlike the previous arrow rain shot, this time Egil mobilized all his Lifeforce to the limit so that this one shot would actually hit Cecilia who was still bouncing on the ground and rocks.
"Cih, if I use my katana to block his slash, surely... No, even though I've used my magic to strengthen my katana, but once my katana is hit by such a strong attack, my katana will definitely be destroyed and unusable." Cecilia muttered while trying to stop her body from bouncing.
"Hmm? This shooting sound!? Egil? Finally you really went all out huh? ...You'll regret it." Cecilia muttered.
Immediately Cecilia managed to stop her body's bounce and put her feet back on the ground.
"That arrow of yours... It's impossible to chase me!" Cecilia snapped.
"BOOOM!!!"
A blast of green light and a powerful sound boomed throughout the forest.
"It worked." Dylan said.
"This is ridiculous." Kalina whispered.
"Good job Egil! I always believed that you would hit her!" Caroline said in a loud voice that could even be heard by Egil who was in the distance.
"I... Made it?" Asked Egil who seemed to still not believe in the results of his own hard work.
Elsewhere, near where the explosion occurred, Julius continued to grumble and complain because all the traps he had prepared were wasted.
"Damn it, Siegmund! If he knows this then why did he tell me to make all these traps? What a waste. I'd rather deactivate all these traps right now than wait for Siegmund's orders." Julius grumbled.
While continuing to grumble, Julius then cut all the wires using his poisoned knife.
"Snap! Snap! Snap!"
Now all the wires had been cut.
"Good, thanks for your hard work Julius." Said a woman's voice who stood behind him.
"Caroline? How fast did you get here? And also how did you get past all my traps?" Asked Julius who then turned his gaze towards the origin of the voice.
"SLASH!"
With a slash and technique that was so fast and accurate that it didn't leave a single stain on the her katana blade, Julius's neck was now severed and left his body.
"With this, I can now move freely." Cecilia said.
On the other hand all the knights began to walk and gather to head towards Egil who could now only lie limp after using almost all of his lifeforce for the shot that had severed the woman's thread of destiny.
"Hmm? Where is Julius? Have any of you seen him?" Siegmund asked to the five knights who walked with him.
"No." Dylan replied.
"No." Kalina replied.
"Me neither." Caroline replied.
"....."
"What about you Yzak? Did you see it?" Asked Siegmund.
"...No." Yzak replied.
"Hey, Yzak, since the fight, why have you been so quiet? Are you maybe still thinking about that sinner?" Caroline teased.
"... What are you talking about? If it weren't for your family, you wouldn't have become the knight you are today." replied Yzak who appeared to be angry.
"What are you saying!? I just want to play around with you, why do you even talk like that, you commoner!" Caroline snapped.
"Stop that. Dylan, do you still scent Julius presence?" Siegmund asked.
"Yes, I still smell him, and it seems that soon enough Julius will also get here." Dylan replied.
"Hmm... Is that so? If that's the case it seems I don't need to contact him using my telepathic magic." Siegmund thought.
"BRAAAKK!"
Suddenly Kalina slammed her right foot hard on the ground.
Instantly everyone including Kalina who slammed her foot was shocked.
"Kalina? What's wrong?" Siegmund asked.
"...I don't know, it's... It seems like my instincts are still forcing me to keep fighting." Kalina said while staring at the ground she had just shattered with her foot.
"Your instincts? What a freak." Caroline thought.
"It seems to be one of the side effects of your magic, forget it, because our fight is now over. Besides, since the explosion I haven't smelled the scent of that sinful woman." Dylan said.
"You don't smell her scent?" Caroline asked.
"No, I don't smell her scent at all. It looks like your lover's magic arrow shot has completely engulfed her." Dylan replied.
Hearing Dylan's answer, Caroline was pensive and looked towards where Egil was resting.
"Bye! I'll go to Egil first!" Said Caroline who then ran to where her lover was lying down.
"Are you going to let her be?" Yzak asked Siegmund.
"Let it be, after all I can't possibly stop a woman who can't wait to go to her helpless lover." Siegmund replied.
"BRAAAK!!!"
Kalina slammed her foot on the ground again, which confused the four knights.
"Umm... Can't you stop your strange movements?" Asked Siegmund.
"......" Kalina remained silent and wore a confused expression.
