Chapter 35:

Chapter 31 “My prophecy is but half his journey yet, For yonder walls, that pertly front your town, Yon towers, whose wanton tops do buss the clouds, Must kiss their own feet.” Part 2

I saw a portal, so I entered it and I became the hero of prophecy

On the other hand, Caroline was still running towards her lover who had been hiding and lying limp in the cave in the middle of the forest.

"Egil! Did you hear me!? Because of you we finally won!" Caroline screamed.

"Wait for me, I'll be at your place in a minute!" Caroline continued.

Like a pigeon in pursuit of her mate, Caroline dashed towards Egil's hiding place.

"Egil!" Caroline called out.

"Caroline!? Where are the other knights?" Asked Egil who was still lying limp among the rocks of the cave.

"The others are still walking towards here." Caroline replied.

"Good, then I can kill you two easily."

Suddenly a voice emerged from a black-robed woman who was standing behind Caroline.

"CAROLINE! BEHIND YOU!" Snapped Egil who then immediately picked up his golden bow.

Without spending much time Caroline immediately threw both of her sica swords at the black-robed woman.

"Pathetic, you have really humiliated the other six knights Caroline." Said the black-robed woman who easily dodged Caroline's attack and then kicked her until she slammed into the cave.

"Kyaaaa!!!!"

"Caroline!" screamed Egil who then stood up with trembling legs and hands while aiming his bow at the black-robed woman.

"Who are you! For what reason are you attacking us!?" Egil snapped.

Smiling broadly, the black-robed woman opened the black robe covering her head and replied.

"Have you forgotten me, Egil?" Answered the woman who turned out to be Cecilia.

"Bu... But, how could that be possible! My shot, it should be impossible to dodge it with that much explosive power!" Egil snapped.

Cecilia with her whole body covered in blood walked and approached Egil who was no longer able to stand before his enemy.

Hearing the trembling sound from Egil's body, Cecilia smiled and grabbed Egil's golden bow and kicked him.

"Khk!" Egil whimpered.

With a small smile, Cecilia grabbed Egil's golden bow and then used it to hit Egil's face and all his limbs.

"Khk! Aaa! Guhaaak! Aaa!!! Khk! Khhk! Aaaa!"

Egil screamed in pain and could not move to protect himself.

"How is it? How does it feel to be the one being tortured!? Hah!?" Cecilia asked with a wide smile.

Caroline who saw the scene immediately threw both her sica swords at Cecilia and then ran towards Cecilia.

"That attack huh? I've known that trick attack for a long time." Cecilia said.

With her body coated in red lightning, Cecilia grabbed Egil's collar and used his body as a shield so that the two sica swords would be stuck in Egil's body.

"Ghkk!" Egil moaned.

As planned by Cecilia, finally Caroline's two sica swords had really stuck into Egil's body and did not return to Caroline's hands.

"Egil!" Caroline called out.

"Hey! Catch this crippled lover of yours!" Mocked Cecilia who then threw Egil's body to Caroline.

Caroline immediately burst into tears and grabbed her now severely injured lover.

"Egil! I... I didn't mean to! I'm sorry!" Caroline screamed while hugging Egil's body which was getting weaker.

"Nn... No, it's okay... I was the one who was wrong, if I had killed her at that time, it would have not turned out to be like this..." Egil said stammeringly while holding back his tears.

In front of Cecilia the two couples hugged each other and cried to wash away the pain and disappointment of their partners.

"Cecilia... Please, don't hurt her, don't kill her, Even though you don't know her, but Caroline is a good... woman..." Begged Egil while stroking Caroline's cheek.

"Hmm... Of course." Cecilia replied briefly.

Instantly the two knights were surprised and looked at Cecilia with a cheerful smile.

"Of course if at that time you didn't slaughter all my villagers." Continued Cecilia who then shot a red magic arrow at the two couples.

Until now, the sky has continued to cry with its screams that shook the burning ground.

At the same time, the young man who had now become a Hero of Prophecy had reached the village that desperately needed his help.

"Everything..."

With his pupils as blue as the ocean, the Hero surveyed the surrounding area.

"...has perished."

Swallowing his saliva, the hero walked into the village that looked even more devastated.

Inside the village were so many familiar faces and organs.

Children, teenagers, adults, even elderly people were not spared from this massacre.

"This is... Cruel." The Hero whispered.

Terror and fear slowly began to haunt the Hero's heart.

Despair and sadness further drowned his burning soul.

But even so he still remembered the woman who had pinned her hopes on him.

"...Cecilia, are you alright?" The hero whispered.

With his armor and clothes already wet from the rain, the hero continued to walk forward towards the house he first stayed in this world.

"Cecilia! Are you inside!?" Asked the hero.

But there was no answer.

Without thinking, the hero immediately broke down the door of Cecilia's house and then entered it.

"Nobody's here. It looks like Cecilia hasn't entered her house today." The hero muttered.

As if he was familiar with the woman's residence, the hero immediately walked and broke down one of the room doors in the house again.

Unlike the other rooms, this time the room that had just been broken into by the hero was filled with many different weapons.

Swords, bows, spears, axes, maces, arrows, wands, shields, armor and so on.

"Since I already broke into her house, I don't think Cecilia will be angry if I also take some of her weapons." Muttered the Hero.

Without feeling the slightest bit guilty, the hero then took a sword and a Heater Shield that was stored inside.

The hero then attached the shield to his left arm and sheathed his sword in the scabbard on the inside of the shield.

"Preparations complete, next is to find the origin of where this destruction of the village occurred... No, it seems that first I still have to confirm the condition of Cecilia's family." Muttered the Hero.

"Alright, I'll head over to Adel and see how they are doing. It's late but it seems like they should still be fine."

While closing the door of Cecilia's house again, the Hero then ran towards Cecilia's family's house which was not too far from Cecilia's house.

"DON'T LOOK! DON'T LOOK! KEEP RUNNING AND DON'T LOOK AT ALL THE CORPSES AROUND YOU!"

The hero continued to run fast, but with every footstep, the hero felt that the ground he stepped on was increasingly trying to swallow and absorb his footsteps.

"FAST! FAST! FAST! I NEED TO GET THERE FAST!!!"

Suddenly his footsteps stopped, he paused and stared at the mound of corpses of the armored soldiers that were now piled on top of each other before him.

"What... What is this?" The hero muttered.

Then the hero turned his gaze towards the hilltop of the corpses.

"A... Adel?" muttered the Hero of the Prophecy.

In front of his eyes was now a boy who stood with so many wounds and arrows stuck almost all over his body.

"Adel are you alright!? What exactly has happened to this village!?" Asked the Hero.

But there was no answer.

"Hey Adel! Didn't you hear me!?"

But still Adel just stood still as if he was ignoring him.

Feeling irritated, the hero fearlessly climbed the hill of corpses to approach Adel.

"Hey, I know you're trying to show off with me, but first answer my question! What exactly has happened to this village!? And also did you meet Cecilia? Earlier she immediately left and left me alone in the middle of the forest. Fortunately, the village was on fire at the time so I could see which direction I should run, Oops! Sorry, I didn't mean that I was happy with the burning of this village but what I meant is..."

After arriving at the top of the hill of the corpses, the Hero then fell silent and looked at Adel who was still standing still with his empty eyes and his body and face covered in blood and dirt.

"Sorry... Looks like you're exhausted huh?" Said the hero who then picked up and carried his rival's small body.

The hero carefully stepped down the hill with a small smile.

"Wow, so you're the one who slaughtered these soldiers huh? Hah! You're doing well, you little brat! You really deserve to be my rival!" The hero said.

"Hmm? What did you say, you little brat? How could you! I wouldn't ever want to call you a teacher! Even though I study with you doesn't mean you're my teacher!" The hero snapped.

Then the hero carefully placed Adel's body on the ground and used his magic power to make a hole and then buried his rival's corpse.

"Now rest. Because now your struggles and achievements have now been engraved as the history of this world. Believe me, even if no one knows and records it, but your wounds and blood will always be proof that you have become part of this world's history."

"And I, your rival, will vow to make this world a better place so that a brat like you does not have to fight at the cost of their body and life."

"Now rest, because this time I am the one who will continue your struggle." Said the Hero who then pulled out the withered grass and spread it over his rival's grave.

Deep in the forest where the legendary Seven knights had defeated the sinful woman.

Siegmund, Yzak, Dylan, and Kalina, had finally reached the cave where Egil was currently hiding with Caroline.

"This scent..." muttered Kalina who had been ignored by Yzak and Siegmund because her instincts seemed to be in haywire.

"What? It's only the scent of Caroline and Egil... And also Julius' scent. Wait no way! It's blood! How did Julius get ahead of us to reach this cave anyway!" Dylan snapped with cold sweat pouring down from his forehead.

"Kalina! Before that what scent do you want to say!" Siegmund snapped.

"It's the scent of... That sinner." Answered Kalina who then began to reactivate her Cernunos shadow of reincarnation magic.

Meanwhile, so far away from the cave, Cecilia began to use Egil's golden bow to create her red lightning magic arrow.

"O lightning, strike him." Cecilia whispered.

Then with a speed that produced a Sonicboom that exploded behind Cecilia, the red-colored lightning arrow shot out very quickly and smashed the head of Yzak who had no time to do anything.

"Yzak!" Dylan snapped.

"Damn it! That woman took Dylan's bow!" Kalina snapped.

"I'll check on their condition!" Said Dylan who then ran into the cave.

"It's useless, they're both dead! We'd better get ready and find out where the shots came from!" Kalina snapped.

Suddenly, the sound of a sonic boom could be heard in the distance in front of the three of them.

"That's the sound of the arrows firing! But..." Kalina paused again and looked in the direction of the sound.

"This is... Impossible! Even Egil wouldn't be able to shoot from such a great distance!" Dylan snapped.

"Calm down! After such a fast shot, Cecilia will definitely be unable to move. It's time for us to attack! Kalina! Dylan! Use your sense of smell and show me the direction!" Ordered Siegmund whose speech had begun to have no composure in it.

"But..." Kalina looked at her surroundings with a confused expression.

"That's impossible." Dylan said.

"What!? Why!?" Siegmund snapped.

"Because right now her scent has spread everywhere!" Kalina replied.

Cecilia on the other hand was groaning in pain while holding her two ears which were currently bleeding.

Although she could not hear the sound of her moaning, the pain was extremely intense inside both of her ears.

"Oww! Oww! Oww!!! It's so loud! My eardrums! Damn it, it looks like both of my eardrums have now completely ruptured. Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up! I have to heal it immediately!" Said Cecilia who then pressed her palms against both her earlobes and began to chant the healing spell.

On the other hand, Kalina, who had already activated her transformation magic, used her five senses to find Cecilia's position.

The view of the green forest with its wet leaves.

The breeze that soothes her skin.

The smell of soil and wet air in her nostrils.

And the sound of groans and prayers from a woman that was heard in her ears.

"There! Siegmund! That sinful woman is over there!" Kalina said.

" All right! O you who weep, cry out and let go of all your sorrows! Angurvadal!" Siegmund shouted.

Raising his Zweihandēr towards the sky with both of his hands, Siegmund then shot a slash of beautiful yellow light towards Cecilia.

"BLAAAAARRR!"

The huge, beautiful yellow light slash ferociously destroyed everything in front of it.

Trees, earth, air, and rocks that could not withstand the slash broke apart and gave way to the beautiful light shot towards the targeted sinner.

"Did it work?" Dylan asked.

"No! Dylan! Kalina! We'll be there soon! We can't let her make another surprise attack like before!" Siegmund ordered.

Immediately the three of them ran towards the direction where Cecilia was located.

In the meantime, as expected by Siegmund, Cecilia had indeed managed to dodge Siegmund's attack.

"Tch, it's a good thing I healed one of my eardrums first, Hmm.... Looks like the three of them are heading this way. Well then I must immediately heal my other eardrum and then I can fight the three of them again." Cecilia thought.

But suddenly...

"BRAAAAAAKK!!!!"

A woman whose almost entire body was emitting black-colored flames fell on the place where Cecilia was previously standing.

"Damn it! I still haven't finished healing my eardrum!" Thought Cecilia while continuing to cover her left ear using her left hand.

"CECILIA!!!" Kalina again unleashed her indiscriminate attack towards Cecilia who continued to step back without direction.

Unlike before, Cecilia's movements now looked very disorganized and directionless. Even now, almost all of Kalina's attacks were right on the mark.

"Guhkk!" Cecilia moaned.

"It's funny..." Kalina muttered.

Then Kalina dashed towards Cecilia and clawed at Cecilia's body from the front.

Sensing the attack in front of her, Cecilia immediately used her katana and slashed forward.

"SLAAASH!"

Five large black flame slashes burned and injured Cecilia until her blood came out and dried before her.

"Ghhaaaak! Damn it!" Cecilia moaned.

"How weird. Hahaha, this is so funny! Dylan! This is the time! Throw that cursed spear of yours!" Kalina ordered.

Without thinking, Dylan, who had been hiding, immediately threw his green spear towards Cecilia.

"Answer her sin! Fragarach!

Cecilia who heard the sound of the spear sliding towards her immediately jumped back once again.

But unfortunately she forgot...

If by this time one of her eardrums had ruptured.

By the time she realized, it was already too late. Because...

The spear had been thrown by Dylan from behind Cecilia's body.

"Fuck!!!" Cecilia thought.

Along with the cursed spear penetrating into her body, now her hopes, grudges, and the sinner's anger gradually began to disappear.

Dylan was shocked.

Kalina was laughing like a mad person.

And Siegmund who had just arrived noticed Julius' black cloak that Cecilia had been wearing.

"Khk..."

Cecilia who had been pierced by the cursed spear stood frozen like a statue made of stone.

"How is that possible? Why did Cecilia jump towards my attack?" Dylan asked.

"She's blind..." Answered Kalina who approached and touched one of Cecilia's eyeballs.

Hearing Kalina's answer the two knights looked at each other and fell silent, either because they were exhausted or maybe they both didn't care about it anymore.

"Although our side suffered heavy losses, we have finally won this battle." Siegmund said.

"Yes, with this cursed spear of mine all who are pierced will experience a very painful torment in their souls until they reach enlightenment." Dylan replied.

"How long until the woman will be free from this curse?" Siegmund asked.

"...... Never, she will be tormented forever. One day for the one who has been pierced will feel like 1000 years in hell." Dylan replied.

"1000 years? Then what happens if you pull out the spear? Will the curse be lifted?" Kalina asked.

"No, the curse will be lifted if the sinner has attained enlightenment in their soul." Dylan replied.

"That's enough talk. Dylan draw your spear, we will transport Cecilia by carriage. It seems she could be a good source of information for us to solve all these mysteries." Siegmund ordered.

"Alright." Dylan replied.

But before Dylan drew his spear back, Cecilia suddenly used her left hand to grasp the spear that pierced her stomach and slashed the katana in her right hand towards Dylan.

"What!? What happened!?" Snapped Dylan who immediately released his grip and jumped back.

"Hah! How many times do you think I've been hit and tested by this curse from your spear Dylan! Even now I can tell which one is real and which one is an illusion!" Cecilia snapped while smiling with blood splattering out of her mouth.

Suddenly Kalina, guided by her instincts, moved and thrust the five claws of her right hand into Cecilia's chest and without hesitation pulled out Cecilia's heart.

"Gahk! Damn it!" Cecilia groaned.

Quickly Cecilia immediately pulled out the spear that pierced her stomach and used it to attack Kalina.

Kalina immediately dodged and jumped back, but when Kalina wanted to continue her attack suddenly Cecilia had disappeared from the sight of the three of them.
