Chapter 10:

The New World

Rueda the Witch

We arrived at the New World, "Good luck on fighting the Nythern." says the captain, I want to blow his brain out.

I only read it from books but this place looks so desolate? I think that fits the situation pretty well. There are only a few houses and what I think is a shop of some kind, maybe there is a town or something like that deeper inside? I don't know. I can go back to the ship and ask the captain, but I don't want to see him again, at least not until I want to go home and have to ride on his ship.

I fly inland and there are forests everywhere, or I think these are called rainforests or jungles in the book, I think? It said it rains a lot that's why it's called rainforest, sometimes it's just that obvious. I read that it's very dangerous down there, lots of venomous animals, one bite and I'll drop dead in a few minutes.

I fly down out of curiosity, but I can't fly inside the jungle, too many trees and vines. I unsheathe my sword just in case, no one knows what kind of hungry animals want to eat my sweet meat, or probably very bitter, I am a terrible person.

This rainforest is more colorful than the forests we have at home, there are a lot of different colored fruits and flowers, even mushrooms too. Back home, it's either green and some other colors in spring and summer, red or orangeish because of autumn, and white because of snow.

I see a gorgeous bird up on a branch, it looks like straight out of someone who just eat a funny mushroom. Its feathers are shimmering with various pretty colors, like a rainbow even and the tail is just a long pretty rainbow. It's as if someone flew to cloud nine and found a bird in their high, and then described it while they're still high, but somehow it's real.

I also found these blue frogs what the hell, I don't want to touch them, my instinct says no. Mushrooms taught me that colorful beings are more often than not dangerous, and that applies to humans too, because people who wear flashy outfits are usually blithering idiots.

Speaking of mushrooms, I found colorful mushrooms just near a rotten log, I grabbed them just in case I wanted to poison someone, though I don't know the effect of these, could be just high, but still useful.

I wonder, where are the monkeys or apes? I think this is a perfect place for primates to just swing around, away from humans, plenty of food for them too, I think. I also think that they are smart enough to not eat poisonous stuff or get eaten by predators, maybe one or two before they realize it.

I can hear something screeching from my left side far away, I look at it but I can't make out what it is, is it an elephant? or some other animal? I keep seeing that way until it gets closer and closer, and holy shit it's a gigantic angry hog.

I ride my broom and fly up for a bit, that's a real hog? It's bigger than a freaking bull what the hell, if that thing ever gores me then it'll be horrifying. Angry hogs won't stop until you don't look human anymore, and that thing can definitely turn me into a sack of flesh with those huge horns and anger bigger than the average people in power.

I'll just continue flying above the forest until I find human settlements, but I can't see anything like that from up here, it's all just forests. I should've followed that guy, or at least asked him, but my ego got the better of me. Well, it's not like I will die or anything, it's just annoying.

If I go straight eventually I will find something.

It's all just trees until I think about an hour or so, I found a small town.

I fly around it to see the entire town.

The buildings look very different than our building, or even compared to the ones I saw earlier. Where our building often has straight lines everywhere, the ones here are more rounded. The houses are fairly small, the layout is a circle and the roof is like a dome. I don't know how you can fit a family under there, it just looks so primitive. Is this what our ancestors lived in back in the day? The house itself doesn't look very strong either, the walls are made of wood and the roof is I think just dried grass nailed to some kind of frame.

Oh and don't get me started on their physiques, they are massive and muscular, probably bigger than everyone that I met even in the military. I think they can rip me in half if I ever do something stupid.

But that doesn't bother me as much as their outfit, why are they covering so little part of their body? Only their genitals and their butthole are covered, even their females didn't cover their breasts.

I just don't understand, maybe they're just less advanced than us, or maybe this is what our ancestors wore before they developed into us.

I don't even know if they can understand our language, but might as well try.

I land near one of the buildings and one of them sees me and immediately shouts something, I don't think they like me. They quickly surround me with bows and spears, they really don't want me to be here.

Shit, I need to find a way to escape, but if I do something suspicious they will think that is retaliation and just shoot me in the head in an instant.

I need to find a way.

I'm sorry I didn't upload anything for a while, I have a lot of problems with life right now and I can't find the time or the motivation to write because I'm overwhelmed by everything. The problems are still going on right now, but I'm trying to run away from it by writing again so I can forget it for a little bit.
