Chapter 154:
En Passant Grandmaster
"What a shame, herr oni-tiger. You're stuck as black again," Red Reaper taunted as he moved his pawn to e4.
Okisato went quiet and moved his pawn to e5.
"Playing serious? Well, I am as well," Red Reaper sneered as he moved his knight to f3.
Ever since Red Reaper had revived, Okisato had struggled to process what had just happened. "He shouldn't be alive. I guess destroying him is a bad idea in hat case..." "If I win, you get stranded in the Southern Atlantic ocean at the coordinates of 59° 21' 20.1456'' S 11° 10' 49.6164'' W. And as for me, I'll be transported to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in China."
"So you finally decided on your wager."
"Yeah, and that you can go fuck yourself," Okisato glared as he slammed his king down on e7.
Red Reaper laughed and moved his knight to c3. "And you just threw away all hope of winning."
"How? I didn't sacrifice any pieces Okisato scoffed as he moved his knight to c6.
"You just put you king front and center, making it an easy target for me," Red Reaper sneered as he moved his pawn to a4.
"No I didn't," Okisato argued as he moved his pawn to d6.
"Yes you did," Red Reaper countered as he moved his pawn to d4.
"No I didn't," Okisato glared as he captured said pawn with his e-pawn.
"Yes you did, check," Red Reaper stated as he moved his knight to d5, forcing Okisato's king back to e8. "And now you return in shame to e8," he sneered as he moved his bishop to b5.
Okisato countered by moving his bishop to g4, however, Red Reaper took the chance to capture the pawn at d4 with his queen. "Ah, herr oni-tiger can't move the knight," he taunted as Okisato moved his pawn to a6. "Wrong move. Check, herr oni-tiger," Red Reaper declared as he captured the knight at c6 with his bishop.
Okisato naturally captured said bishop with his b-pawn, but then, Red Reaper castled king's side. At a glance, nothing seemed off about the move, but it was that moment that Okisato allowed his sadistic personality to bubble to the surface. "Oh, he blundered faster than expected. I wonder how pissed the famed Red Reaper will get when I beat him with a Bongcloud defense," he thought as he captured the knight at f3 with his bishop.
Red Reaper didn't seem to realize the predicament he was in and moved his knight to f4. Okisato moved his pawn to c5, while Red Reaper moved his queen to c4. This allowed Okisato to move his bishop to g4, while Red Reaper moved his bishop to d2. He then moved his pawn to h5, while Red Reaper moved his bishop to c3. Okisato continued to mystify Red Reaper by moving his rook to h6, but this caused Red Reaper to move his queen to d5.
Now Okisato began targeting the knight by moving his pawn to g5, forcing Red Reaper to move it to d3. Now he shifted focus to the queen, and moved his bishop to e6, prompting Red Reaper to move his queen to b7, exactly where Okisato wanted it. He then moved his knight to e7, while Red Reaper moved his pawn to f4. Then, it was time to attack.
Okisato slid his rook to b8, prompting Red Reaper to move his queen to a7, but that allowed Okisato to move his knight to c6 on his next turn.
"Not so fast, herr oni-tiger. I'm taking your queen with me," Red Reaper taunted as he moved his bishop to f6.
"Uh, no your not," Okisato scoffed as he captured said bishop with his rook.
Red Reaper let out a frustrated roar and captured the pawn on a6 with his queen.
"Looks like you realized you're screwed," Okisato taunted as he moved his rook to b6, erasing all hope of the queen escaping.
Red Reaper angrily slammed his queen down on b5, allowing Okisato to capture it with his rook. While he did capture said rook with his a-pawn, the damage was done. Okisato now focused on achieving checkmate and moved his knight to d4. Red Reaper moved his rook to f2, while Okisato moved his pawn to c4. He then captured the pawn at g5 with his f-pawn, but rather than move the rook, Okisato instead captured the knight at f6 with his g-pawn.
"What a blunder! You gave up your rook!" Red Reaper taunted as he captured the rook at f6 with his g-pawn.
"Oh no, I'm about to get another queen anyway," Okisato scoffed as he captured the pawn at c2 with his d-pawn.
"No you're not," Red Reaper glared as he slid his rook to c1.
"Yes I am," Okisato snickered as he moved his bishop to h6.
"No you're not!" Red Reaper shouted as he captured the pawn at c2 with his rook.
"Heh, thanks for blundering into mate, dumbass," Okisato snickered as he captured the rook at c2 with his knight.
"What rubbish. You can't mate me!" Red Reaper glared as he captured said knight with his rook.
"Check," Okisato snickered as he moved his bishop to e3, prompting Red Reaper to unknowingly hasten his demise and move his king to h1. "Oh look, mate in 5," Okisato snickered as he captured the pawn at f6 with his queen.
Now Red Reaper saw the mate and was consumed with rage. He began cussing up a storm in German as he slammed his rook down on c1 and watched Okisato capture said rook with his bishop. Now with no other good moves to make, he moved his pawn to h3 as Okisato moved his queen to f1. This forced his king to h2 and allowed Okisato to move his bishop to f4, once again leaving Red Reaper with only one legal move; pawn to g3.
"Looks like you lost to me twice. So how's it feel especially after the bongcloud?" Okisato snickered as he captured the pawn at h3 with his queen.
Red Reaper responded with inaudible shouting as he slammed his king down on g1.
"Guess I'll work on my German so I can learn what the hell you were shouting at me. Checkmate," Okisato snickered as he moved his bishop to e3, winning the game.
