Chapter 82:

Ill fate

The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter

Meanwhile,

Kanako thought of his ill fate as he parked his bike in the garage. Maybe he should dig a grave for him already. It didn't sound like a bad idea. He knew he was doomed as soon as he got through the main entrance, as his mother was waiting for him eagerly, not out of love. He wanted to stay in the garage forever, if it meant he could extend his lifespan a little bit more...

He slapped himself back to consciousness. "I did this to myself. I have to deal with it.", he spoke out loud enthusiastically, turning around with a grin.

"What is the deal, young man-"

"AH!!", Kanako's heart stopped at the big figure that was standing before him. He was startled. The figure pinched his ear and brought him back to his home. She was Midori Yuu, the mother of Kanako Yuu.

"S-sorry Mom! I-I can explain!", Kanako requested as she pulled her som inside and in a slightly aggressive way dried his hair with a fresh towel.

"That you have to explain. Seriously-", she let out a sigh, "What are you even thinking? Bringing home a girl at this hour, after school! Learn some manners!"

"Sorry...", his voice was apologetic. "But she needed help!"

She was confused. "Help?", she shook her head, "Tell me about that later, now change your clothes. You will go take a shower after Ayane-chan finishes hers."

"Okay.", he was relieved. At least he didn't die as he thought. He climbed up the stairs, going to his room and changing into new clothes, but then he realised something. He looked back, trying to process what his mother said. "Mom, how did you know her name?"

She looked back as if he said something silly. "How can I forget her? The child actress?", she rested her cheek on one of her hand, supported by the other. "Seriously, you should have told me it was her that you took care of!"

He smiled, giving off rays positive energy. "I forgot", he said with confidence.

She nodded her head in disapproval. "What a silly son I have...", she said, before going away to do her chores and prepare something for the unexpected yet welcomed guest.

He continued up the stairs, to the second floor. The lights were turned off, and the sound of the rain was intensifying. As he peeked into the corridor, it was gloomy, almost like an abandoned floor.
