Being lost in thought, going up the stairs, he was completely blinded by the bright lights that he was suddenly forced into. He was annoyed. "What are you doing standing there, sis? You look like a ghost, in an abandoned house."

She yawned. "I just woke up."

"The heck? Its almost evening!"

"Is it?", she opened her eyes. "Well who cares, its raining. Besides, whats all the commotion downstairs?", she looked at Kanako, confused. "What has happened to you? You are soaking wet."

"Think sis, think.", Kanako sighed. "Its raining outside, Im soaking wet. I came from school. THINK."

"I'd pass.", she continued towards and down the stairs, not paying attention to her brother who was standing still next to her.

Kanako's room was right beside the stairs. It had his name on the front door. He opened the door, being welcomed by the fimiliar scene. The room was cold, moist and heavy. All he could see from the window right in front of him was the scene of the faraway seas, blurred out by the heavy rain. He looked around for something.

"Oh, found it.", he said, picking up a spare polyethylene bag that was laying around beside his desk. He double checked on his door, before undressing and going into a new set of clothes, that was ready for him on the bed.

He shivered as he removed the clothes. His body was pale and his fingertips developed wrinkles. If he doesn't shower soon, he might catch a cold. He was vulnerable to rain since childhood. The thought of a hot shower weakened his body. He wanted to jump right into it. But someone was already there...

He shook his head before he could think of something not entirely necessary. He quickly put on his new clothes, when he heard a loud scream.

"WHAT?!?? KANAKO BROUGHT HOME A GIRL??!?!?", the scream muffled as it went through the thick door. Blood rushed to his face. He was embarrassed.

"Can't you be a little less loud, sis?", he said to himself, as he laid— face down— into the pillow, burying himself. "Someone might hear you...", he murmured.

"Shh...", Midori shushed her daughter's mouth, looking around, as she was preparing something in the kitchen. "Can't you be a little less louder? She might hear you, you know?"

"But...", she expressed concerns. "I still can't believe it.", she looked at her mother with disbelief. She was annoyed that her mother didn't worry about this situation. "You know your son, don't you?"

She smiled. "Yes.", she said, preparing something.

"You know your son doesn't do these stuffs. He is obedient, isn't he?", she asked. Her mother didn't seem to care. She was even more annoyed. "Don't you think that girl might bring bad to him? What if she is a delinquent, manipulating my brother? Your son?"
