Second iteration.

"WHAT?!?? KANAKO BROUGHT HOME A GIRL??!?!?", the sudden loud but obstructed scream suddenly made her come back to the real world, faced with the embarrassing situation she was in.

She hid her face inside her palms, shaking her head in denial. "That voice must be his sister..."

She quickly sat on a stool and splashed herself in the head with a few mugs of water, before jumping straight into the bathtub. Her eyes relaxed, her mind calmed and sense of slumber hit her as soon as her body touched the warm water. She laid down, closing her eyes. She forgot the embarrassment she had a moment ago, like it never existed... it felt... relaxing. Her body didn't move an inch. She could only sink herself into the water more, until the water was up to her nostrils. Closing her eyes, she exhaled through her mouth, making bubbles. But maybe closing her eyes was a bad idea. She was very quickly drifting towards unconsciousness— sleep. The sounds surrounding her slowly became quiet...

"Is anyone here?", a voice called, in a passive aggressive tone. Her voice was deeper than usual, with a hint of distrust. It wasn't the voice of Kanako's mother, thats for certain. Ayane rubbed her eyes, waking up from her few moments of slumber.

"Y-yes!", she squeaked. Kanako's sister noticed her nervousness in her voice. She felt a bit bad about her passive aggressive voice, changing back to normal. Ayane noticed the shadowy figure who was standing behind the blurred our glass door.

"I am going to leave the clothes here, okay?", she sat down, leaving the clothes at the doorstep.

"O-okay.", Ayane's voice was in a higher voice. She saw the dark figure disappearing from the blurred glass door. "Umm... t-thanks for having me here! I-I really mean it! I know that... you don't trust me that much...", she noticed the figure stopped moving, listening to her talk. "I also don't know how to earn it... b-but I really do feel grateful. Kanako-kun has been helping me a lot these days... it kind of feels one sided... and-"

Ayane heard her burst out of laughter. She was confused. Did she say something ridiculous? Maybe she blurted out something she shouldn't have done. "Silly, that's something you should tell him, not me! And especially not while you are in the bathroom!"
