Soup.

The warm smell of soup lingered in the house. It felt like home, though she felt a bit nervous. Her heart was palpitating, as she worried about her first impressions. She looked left of the corridor, trying to find the right place to go. Her eyes wandered into the black, sleek black entrance door and the— which seemed to be lively— entrance of the living room. She heard the voice of Kanako and another person, most probably his sister in it. That probably meant the right side lead to the kitchen.

"Hey there."

"Ah!?", Ayane jumped at the sudden voice. She looked back, seeing Kanako's mother smiling at her. "Are you lost? Let me lead you there."

Her smile beamed like radiation. She lightly pressed her back, leading her to the living room. She gently pushed her into the living room, before turning away into the kitchen.

His sister was was facing her back to her, on her side of the table. Kanako sat opposite to her sister, facing Ayane.

Ayane was mesmerised at his sister's beauty, even is she didn't see her face. Her hair explains her taste in fashion. She looked like a model. Her hair was partially braided at two sides of her ear, and her hair strands were perfectly smooth, and the contrast of the black colour deep.

"Hi!", Kanako waved, excited and nervous. He patted at a corner of the table, "You can sit there". His sister didn't bother to look at her. Maybe she was still unsure about Ayane. Her heart was anxious, as she tried to figure out ways to win her heart.

She closed her eyes, hoping for the best and sat down where Kanako had shown her, sitting in a more formal way than normal. She giggled internally. What was it? A discussion of marriage?

Her mind became clouded and she blushed at the thought. She quickly opened her eyes, as staying with her inner voice would be too dangerous in this situation.

The instant she opened her lemon eyes, she felt a flash. The beauty of her was too much. It was on the next level. But more importantly, she was shocked.
