"Victory Wiggle and New Horizons"

After what felt like an eternity of wriggling through the earth, they finally reached a fork in the tunnels. Panting, they paused to catch their breath, their hearts still racing from the close call.

"That... was... exhilarating!" Alex exclaimed; his eyes wide with disbelief. "I can't believe that actually worked! I feel like we just pulled off a heist worthy of the greatest treasure hunters!"

Mortimer chuckled, adjusting his glasses that were slightly askew from the chaos. "You were brilliant! But we should probably find a safer spot to regroup and plan our next move before our luck runs out."

As they caught their breath, Alex felt a swell of pride within him. They had escaped danger together, and he was beginning to realize that perhaps being a worm in this strange world wasn't so bad after all. Who knew a life of squirming could be this thrilling?

As Alex caught his breath, a wave of exhilaration washed over him. "That was fun!" he thought, a grin forming in his mind. "But maybe it's time to travel on my own again. I can always visit Mortimer later if I need a ride... or access to some cool gadgets."
