He glanced over at Mortimer, who was still catching his breath, adjusting his glasses with a look of triumph on his face. "You did great out there, Mortimer," Alex said, genuinely appreciative of the mole's quick thinking and support. "But I think I need to go solo for a bit. There's a whole world out there to explore, and I want to see what I can discover on my own."

Mortimer looked a bit taken aback. "Are you sure? It can be dangerous out there, especially for a little worm like you."

Alex nodded, determination bubbling within him. "I know it's risky, but I've got my Dirt Devourer ability, and I've learned a lot from our adventure together. Plus, I want to see what I can find without being tied to someone else's plans."

"Alright, if you're sure about this," Mortimer said, a hint of concern in his voice. "Just promise me you'll be careful. There are plenty of predators out there, and not all of them are as friendly as me."
