Our Hopes

“Stop dreaming, Haruna! What are you doing since earlier?”

“Are you okay? Do you want to take a rest a bit?”

Suddenly, Yui and Yuka calling out to me. I should feel relieve that I am still here.

“I’m okay. I just zoning out a bit.”

Yes. Without both them, I don’t think I can stay strong walking through my dream.

“ Now, as we agree earlier, Ana will be in charge of our concert’s advertisements, Yuka will write our new song and both us will choreograph our new dance. Is that okay?” ask Yui.

“We agree!”

“I don’t think we can choreograph for our new dance together, Yui. I mean how the person like me can create new dance that good enough,” I am voicing my worry.

“ Idiot! You should be confident with yourself. I know you still thinking about your past but now that is not important. Who cares about your past? As long you be true to yourself, the audience will feel it with our music wave. Or is that you think that I cant dance because of my leg?” ask Yui wile glaring at me.

“No! Sorry for asking weird question. I will try to become more confident in myself,” I reply.

“That the spirit I want! Let’s create the dream that both us had promised before, Haruna!”

“Yes, Yui!”

There are only three weeks before our first concert will be hold. Coincidentally, it fall on Christmas eve. It will become our precious memory that day.

“How is it, Haruna? Do you think can choreograph based on this song?” asked Yuka.

“ I will try but why ballad? I thought our new song will be in pop genre because it more suitable with Christmas vibe,” I voicing my opinion.

“As you said, pop is more suitable. But, the lyric I made somehow more fit with ballad. I trying to change the lyrics but it still feel weird,” said Yuka.

“Can I look at the lyrics?”

When I read the lyrics, I can feel the emotion that Yuka trying to appeal. It sad but full with hope. That what I get after reading the lyrics.

“How is the lyrics, Haruna?”

“Its amazing. You are genius, Yuka! I don’t know you have this kind of talent!”

“Really? Thank you! But can you create choreography from this kind of music?”

“Don’t worry! After reading the lyrics and heard your song, I can fell the ideas flowing in my head. So, just focus on creating our new music!”

“I will leave the best to you!”

“By the way, thank you for that time, Yuka.”

“What do you mean, Haruna?”

“If you don’t stop me that time, I…..”

“I will repeat many times, Haruna! Treasure your own life! Don’t think too much about what other people say. Just believe what you believe is true. Don’t taint on your sister’s dream. Never lose your parent’s hope. Be the person who always stays by the person you love. That’s why never do that again, Haruna,” Yuka said emotionally.

I can see her starting to cry after giving advice to me.

“Why are you crying, Yuka?”

“Somehow, I feel sleepy after writing the music for hours. Sorry, but can you leave me alone, Haruna?”

“Okay, Yuka. Make sure to take care of yourself.”

Of course she is crying. She also had go through what I had been before. I can feel the feeling that what she wants to say to me. It feels so close.

“Right, Haruna.”

“ What is it Yuka?”

“Make sure to throw out that rope away from your house. For safety.”
