Our Faults

That day just passed like that. Marina don’t even talk to me when we at home. Somehow, I can feel she trying to avoid from me. But that kiss is not my fault. Why I feel guilty then? It so crazy. Today is the day when I will go back to my home at city. Marina and I will ride the same train but will she sit next to me.

“ Thank you, my precious brother! I will not forget your sacrifice yesterday,” said Keiko.

“ Because of that, Marina and I have not talked with each other since yesterday. Now, how I should to talk with her. I feel so awkward right now,” I said to Keiko.

“Don’t worry! The time will pass and both you will finally can talk with each other comfortably!” she said happily.

As I enter the train, I trying to find Marina and find the seat next to her is empty. Should I sit next to her? Now or never!

“Y-yamauchi-san, can I sit next to you?”

“Y-yes.”

Her reaction so stiff. Why she not look at me while talking to me? Ahh! I just sit here for the time being.

Thirty minutes had pass since our departure. Quiet. She busy looking the view through window while I busy thinking what to talk with her. Then, suddenly….

“Kouta, what you will be doing after this?”

“W-what do you mean?”

Her question caught me off guard.

“Do you want to meet with my boyfriend?”

“Are you insane? Why I should see your boyfriend?”

“Because my first kiss have been stolen by you. So, you should explain to him. I don’t want to lie to him.”

Her explanation make me so mad right now. I am idiot to worry about her before.

“You also need to meet with my girlfriend! Because you also stole my first kiss,” I am not backdown this time.

“What! You are the one who put your lips on my lips! Now, you said that I stole your first kiss! How unreasonable you can be?!”

“ Same to you?! You are the first to initiate that kiss. Then, you start to push your face closer to mine. How that is not your fault, clingy-san?”

“Do you want to fight, loser-san?”

“Please keep quiet. Both you had cause other passenger feel uncomfortable with your love quarrel.”

The attendant come to us because of our conversation. We both apologized to her and other passengers after that.

“Look, all of this because of you! If only you talk slowly, we never got all of that attention,” said Marina.

“Whatever. By the way, can I look at your boyfriend’s picture?”

“Here he is. Look, he is so handsome, right? He always busy with his work. This month, he will go to oversea for meeting with other investor. He is so hardworking!”

“R-really? Well, he look nice. Congrats for finding him.”

“Why you make it like I found a treasure? Never mind, now show me your girlfriend’s picture!”

I confidently show her my girlfriend’s prettiest picture.

“Look! She is so pretty, right! She is so kind. I feel so happy to know that she is my girlfriend!”

“Let me see. She look normal to me. I look more prettier than her though,” she said while smirking to me.

“Loser-san, I think I have met with your girlfriend before.”

“Where and when? How did you met her?”

“If I am not mistaken, she is from the same school with me. But something is different about her picture.”

“You and her from the same school?! How is her during that time? Is she still pretty like now? Like an angel?”

“Angel? No, she was devil at the school. Always causing problems to teacher. Date with many boys is her usual routine. She really know how to use her face, that what I was thought about her that,” Marina tell about Aika’s behavior during their high school’s day.

“ You are liar! How can she do that? Don’t try to put your hallucination on Aika! She is angel and will always be angel in my heart.”

“You are the one who needs to stop the hallucinations. If she has change right now, its fine then. Maybe, I should meet with Aika.”

“I will not let you meet with her! You should focus on your boyfriend only. Look, we already have our own love life. I think we should not interfere with other’s love life from now on,” I said to Marina.

“I just worried about you. Who know what Aika plan with you?”

“Don’t worry! She is one of kindest person I found in my life.”

“Whatever. Don’t come to me if you regret what you have done later.”

“Why will I come to you? You already have a boyfriend.”

“My boyfriend-“

“We finally arrive. Right, I need to buy you something as my token for help my sister. Do you care to come with me for a bit? I don’t know if it is enough with you.”

“Okay!”

As Marina and I stepped away from the train, a familiar figure was waving their hand toward me.

“Kouta! Here!”

“Aika-san?”
