Silent Witness Exploit Run

Inside it feels dreamy and hazy.

The borders of her eyes can't quite focus and there's a bit of a phantom breeze on her legs. She's really not used to wearing a skirt. much less one this short.

She looks around and spots a young guy calling her over. Ah. Yes. That’s her boyfriend. This boy looks like he should be in an otome game instead, what's the point of this guy being so pretty? It's a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, she goes to him like a lamb to the slaughter. She's holding onto his arm and doesn't that feel alien? It's all a bit gross and undesirable.

Their walking speeds feels right. They're going somewhere and the mist around them barely seems to be moving but it should, considering she can still see 5 feet in front of her. She's mentally checking everything and it's a delight that everything seems to be perfectly pleasant.

There's a bird noise somewhere, she's startled and instinctively holds onto the boy next to her. Which kinda pisses her off. What's the point of that? He's saying some quiet platitudes that mean nothing anyway. This isn't what she's here for.

She leaves him on the road. Advances by herself a few steps before she promptly gets ran over by a truck.

You died flashes on the screen. Tacky, Damian will be complaining about the lack of accessibility for people who may suffer from seizures, you shitty video game company!

There's a quick cinematic afterwards, the victim softly whimpering and deliberately placed long legs of a 3d model. Uhm. Kudos to the rigger and voice actress he supposed. He shakes his head. Which is a bad idea inside his goggles, but it helps him focus.

Her uniform is uncomfortable, the weather is muggy, her boyfriend is once more left on the road. She sticks to the vereda. Her steps more confident than they should when she's planning on leaving a murder mystery with no murder victim. She's walking over the photogenic bridge that featured heavily on the promo material, when there's a sudden flash of black feathers and a bird makes a horrifying throaty squawk before she's being pushed into the water.

Once more.

Cold legs, cold weather, cold boyfriend. Who cares!? She's running and a pot falls on her head. She's crawling and someone stabs her on the back. She's clinging to an illumination pole and somehow she gets electrocuted. Oyy stupid game i don't even think that's possible!!

There's no way to save Sabrina Crowley without clinging to her stupid boyfriend and passing the stupid safe ending. Ha! Damian may be a completionist but he's also got some pride!! He'll only get that stupid achievement once he figures out a way to get Sabrina out of being killed without relying on some dumb pretty boy.

And so, countless unbearable uniforms, frigid days and stupid boys on the road later something does happen.

It's a momentous occasion. Not what Damian wanted but definitely something.

There's a basement door. Damn close to the other side of the city. In a place one would almost have to be stupid to reach if you planned on finishing the game fast. Damian is, of course, a genius.

He walks Sabrina down the stairs and there's a full 180 degree perspective change. Sabrina looks wonderful like this, his thoughts race through his brain when the user character starts—doing exactly what would happen to the victim of these types of games.

There are sickening satisfying crunch and cracks that make Damian queasy. He looks at his favorite character being desecrated by his own hands and he can somehow feel the blood pooling around his feet.

His ears ring when he notices she's not screaming anymore. She's limp in his arms as he mechanically takes her apart as if she were nothing more than a ball jointed doll.

He watches on, as the character he’s absolutely powerless to do anything. He stuffs the hacked up parts that once were Sabrina into a computer, a really old one.

He's sick to his stomach and he's lamenting not connecting the water beforehand when he hears a loud ring through the empty house.
