Chapter 0:

Diary entry

To another world with my classmates!

Hey mom, dad. Things have changed a lot since the last time we've seen each other. I regret not being able to have more time with you guys, but at least I'm happy that our last interaction was a kiss and a hug from each of you as I rushed off to school. Little did any of us know, some kind of spell was cast on my classroom that day which caused me to black out. When I came to I was in another world.

It was weird at first, as most things are. Fortunately, I was greeted by a classmate that had actually been transported at an earlier time period. I have NO IDEA how that's supposed to work, but not much I can do in that regard.

The classmate in question called himself Rom, which he later clarified was a name he was given at birth in this world. Again, HUH?! Anyways, he quickly revealed himself to be one of my classmates who was named Harold. I have vague memories of him, but we weren't close in the least, I mean, you could barely call us acquaintances. He was a small scrawny kid that hung out on his own, but on this side is completely unrecognizable. He's a lot more confident, not to mention that he's now in his twenties. He's built like a bodybuilder now, which he said was because of some special gene passed to him by this father in this world.

I have a lot of questions and hope he'll be able to answer them for me once we get to talk again. Like, how come he was born here and I had to be teleported basically. A lot of things aren't adding up, but I don't think I'll be the one to figure things out, I was failing a good portion of my subjects after all. :P

As for what happened next, let's see. I was given some new clothes which were supposed to help me assimilate to the kingdom I'm currently staying at. I ate some really good food, Rom said it was chicken, but it tasted totally different, I think he was lying as a way to make me feel more comfortable. Turns out he's a pretty good guy, a part of me wishes we'd met back in our class - which feels weird to say because to me it feels like it was only a couple of days ago.

Lately I've been hearing him talk to himself whenever he thinks he's alone. At first I thought he was scheming something, but as I heard more it turned out to be some boring stuff about logistics and meetings and all that tiring adult stuff dad talks about during dinner. Even if I'm in another world, I'm not too worried, Rom seems like a trustworthy guy, and if he isn't, we'll not much I can do about that anyhow, so I'll just enjoy myself until the situation demands an epic Alcatraz style escape.
