Out of the web and into more peril

Dandy Dan's face went red with rage as razor sharp teeth sprung from his mouth. He immediately began eating everything, even us. But as he ate us, that allowed us to use our secret technique and escape via regeneration.

Our clothes were fine too so we wouldn't be going around naked, though I do wish the damn sunlight wasn't so bright. I don't have my sunscreen dammit.

"Um, sis?"

"Mmph ngh [What, Bella]?"

Bella nervously pointed to the skirmish between Crawlindreadeye and Dandy Dan.

"Fine, we'll kill them," I thought as I pulled out a blowtorch and incinerated Dandy Dan to death. His rage may be deadly, but he was vulnerable to fire. The spider was too, but he managed to last long enough to flop into the water. Not sure if he's dead, but who cares, I wanna go home.

Welp, this case may have been a bust, but at least we survived.

As I turned, I came face to face with Gyselle. "And why would a detective give up half way?"

"Mmph ngh mmph ngh [And you survived how]?"

Gyselle smiled and held up a rosemary. "I'm no slouch when it comes to preparation. Now, shall we do something about those sealed lips of yours?"

"MMPH!?"

Oh shit, even after regenerating, my lips were still glued shit with the icky sticky spider web.

As Bella and Gyselle locked arms with me, I had a bad feeling I knew where this was going.

The car ride was eerily quiet, but Bella and Gyselle's smiles put me on guard. Those two must be thinking the same thing dammit, and I think I know what it is.

"We're here!" Gyselle sang.

Yep, fears confirmed. We're at a hair salon, Vivi's hair salon; the worst in all of Paris. Welp, good bye social life and also good bye hair. Not one girl ever leaves that hell with any hair left.
