Chapter 4:

Got a Problem?

An Amateur's Story Collection

In our lives, we are faced with countless problems. Trials, dilemmas, situations, whatever name you may give to it, but in the end, it all boils down to how it is solved. The great men, science, and others have all come up with theories, experiments, and exercises to solve them, but problems will forever be in our lives. Take me for example, I am sitting here writing about my problems when I have a shit ton of stuff to study and an exam to write. That’s, in fact, my problem and every other student’s problem, probably.

With some of the problems we encounter, it has an unusual effect of throwing us into a pool of regret. “Why didn’t I study sooner?” “Why didn’t I kiss her when I had the chance ……ok…. not the last one, but you get it, right? Problems are things in our lives that will never stop having them, even the littlest of them. You may read this having similar problems to mine or far greater than these, but I write to tell you to steel your heart cuz you are very much, Fucked!

Huh!! What’d you think I was going to say, that it will get better? Pfft, seriously, like I’m seriously writing about my problems instead of learning. Do you expect me to give you the answer when I am in this state?

Okay, okay, okay. Maybe I’m just writing this to blow off some stress. Try catching up on 8 different subjects in just 2 months and see how it feels.

Sigh…. that is my problem. They may crop out of nowhere because of your ignorance and foolishness or just a minor error, but in the end, it's still your problem, not anyone else’s. And how we deal with these problems defines who we are. Whether chopping em up in a blender, shooting them down with an MMK19 assault rifle (I don’t know if that gun even exists), or just going at it barehanded. In the end, if you are able to overcome said problems and learn from them, then you are very much growing. They may beset you as they did me (I seriously need help), but a problem is only a problem if you make it a problem. It’s all in the mind. Fighting that problem may be hard and annoying and may only seem to be exacerbating, but turn your face towards the sun and let the shadows fall behind you. Cuz after that demon of a task is finally over, you can look back and say, “Hey, Look Ma, I made it,” “I Did It All”

Everything works together for good to those who love the Lord, as said in the Bible. It may be bad now, but it will all pan out in the end and be a hitherto memory. So, cheek slap, chin up, give yourself the old case of good tabula rasa, and run to the horizon line once more. Falling down is learning; fail is an abbreviation for First Attempt Is Learning (well, in my case, the 100th attempt is learning). But yeah, go for it. It’s never too late.

……Woah…. that was…. deep. And unusually, it was actually pretty good. Hah, well, still having to learn is still a pain, but there is no time like the present.
