In order to keep Honeyfeed users in a comfortable and welcoming environment, we created this Image Moderation Policy. This Policy can be viewed as the "Rules" or "Guidelines" of posting images on the Honeyfeed site, but please keep in mind that our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will also be enforced on images. These "Guidelines" will apply to all places in the Honeyfeed site where users can upload and post images (Cover, Showcase, Gallery, User submitted images, etc.) Honeyfeed will have zero-tolerance for images that violate our ToS or Policies.
Honeyfeed’s Image Moderation depends on human moderation to review and remove images uploaded to the site. This means that in some cases we might miss an image that is in clear violation of our rules. If you see an image that is breaking the rules, please take advantage of the "Report image" function and we will review the image as soon as possible.
Please note that Honeyfeed will delete images without notice if they are found to violate our Image Moderation Policy.
If you are planning on uploading and posting any images to Honeyfeed, make sure to read our Image Moderation Policy thoroughly. Breaking our rules may result in a warning or ban from the Honeyfeed site.
*If you see a fellow community member breaking these rules, please do not argue with them or try to take on the situation on your own. Please report them, or the image, using the "Report user" or "Report Image" functions.
-Posting artistic nudity is ok. Posting semi-nudity is ok. Posting nudity that contains sexual innuendo is not ok. Please refrain posting these types of images outside of the Adult or Hentai genres. All images containing nudity outside of the Adult or Hentai genre novels will be deleted.
-Please refrain from posting nudity images of minors and/or characters that have an underdeveloped physique even if they mention in the novel they are adults (ex: loli characters).
-Posting "ecchi" or erotic images is ok only in certain novels. These images are allowed only for the novels marked under the Ecchi, Hentai, Yuri, Yaoi or Adult genres. Posting erotic images that contain sexual innuendo is not ok. All images containing "ecchi" outside of the Adult or Hentai genre novels, will be deleted.
-Please refrain from posting "ecchi" images of minors and/or characters that have an underdeveloped physique even if they mention in the novel they are adults (ex: loli characters).
-Showing gun action, drugs, fights, wounds, cuts, scrapes, bruises, blood, amputation etc. is OK.
-Do not post images that lean towards gore or graphic violence. This refers to images that are: overly bloody, gruesome, show torture, graphic murder, suicide, rape or any sort of violence could be traumatizing for most audiences.
-Please have common decency when posting images with religious content, it may be offensive to some viewers. If several reports are made towards this kind of image, we may ask you to edit or remove the image.
-Please have standard civility when posting images with political content, it may be offensive to some viewers. If several reports are made towards this kind of image, we may ask you to edit or remove the image.
-It’s hard to define what kind of images are considered controversial, but please be respectful to others. If several reports are made towards this kind of image, a Honeyfeed Moderator will investigate the case and may take down the image at their own discretion.
-If you trace, manipulate or edit someone else’s art or image without their consent it will be taken down by our site Moderators without prior warning. Do not claim the artwork is yours if it’s made by another artist. Do not claim the artwork is yours if it is clearly and directly traced from an image that is not yours. Do not trace or copy artwork and/or images that belong to another person unless they have given you permission (you must provide evidence of this).
-If you heavily reference your artwork from a photograph, tutorial or drawing book please make sure you have permission from the owner of that image before posting it in our website, otherwise, it will be deleted.
-Tracing photos that you took yourself is definitely acceptable. Using photo reference from drawing figure models, art models and other drawing aids or resources is acceptable.
-Using editable bases and free lineart is ok only if it was made for free use. You must clearly write in the description that you are using this type of image in your artwork. Please be aware that sometimes this kind of art is not permitted to use outside of certain websites.
-Fan art of copyrighted material related to Anime or Manga is accepted only in novels that are clearly labeled as fan fiction for said Anime or Manga. All submitted fan art must be your own original artwork. Any fan art submitted outside of its corresponding fan fiction will be deleted.
-Image composition using real images (not artwork) is allowed as long as you are the owners of all the images used in the composition. Using free to use images for your compositions is allowed but make sure you mention that you are using this type of images in the description. You may post the name of the owner or owners of the free images in the description but please refrain from posting links to their page (it is ok to mention the name of the site just make sure you are not posting the URL).
-Photoshopped and manipulated images are allowed as long as it is permitted by the original artist (marked as free to use). You can post images you took yourself as long as you blur out all the faces shown in the image.
-Using cosplay images is allowed only if you have permission by the cosplayer to use their image. You may use cosplay images of yourself. Please keep the cosplay related images relevant to the content of the novel. For your safety and the cosplayer’s safety, we ask you to blur out the face of the person in cosplay unless you have permission to show it.

Although it is ok to post these types of images in our site, the content listed above may cause trouble for some viewers or provoke a negative reaction on some viewers. We ask you to be careful when posting images that show the subjects mentioned above. If a certain type of image is constantly reported with considerable arguments, they may be added to the "Do not post" list of content and/or Honeyfeed might need you to remove it from your novel.
Please be aware that signing or including a watermark over your artwork is permitted and advised, but if your image contains links to other websites and/or links to a social media profile (even of the artist); either in the image itself or in the description, it will be taken down.
Please understand that some artwork may contain coincidental similarities to other images. This does not mean that the artist was tracing or stealing art. If you suspect that a fellow Honeyfeed user is stealing artwork, please use the "Report image" and explain to us your claim. Do not attempt to handle the situation on your own. Please seek help from our site Moderators using the Report function.
**Under no circumstance may you buy or sell artwork or images in Honeyfeed.**
If your image has been reported several times by different Honeyfeed users, you will receive an email from Honeyfeed asking you to edit or remove your image. If your image was deemed inappropriate by a Honeyfeed Moderator, you will receive an email from Honeyfeed notifying you that your image has been taken down. If your image is clearly breaking the Honeyfeed Image Moderation Policy, it will be taken down without notice. In this case, if the removed image was a novel Cover image, it will be automatically replaced by the default Honeyfeed Cover image.
