In the year 20XX, rifts opened spawning monsters of all kinds. However, hope was not lost as people called the Ascended -humans with supernatural power- started appearing. 5 years later a young man named Sean Forester learns he is one too. But as time goes on he realizes that he may be different from the rest of his peers.
