Mustworld's strange premise left me not knowing what to think about it at first, but it uses that premise in very creative ways and really makes the most of it.
The main characters are both great, but I found myself pleasantly surprised by some of the side characters. On the surface, they appear to be comedic spoofs, and many of them are, but a few of them are so surprisingly deep that it reminded me a bit of the last season of Morel Orel, when the series revealed that its comic-relief characters are real people with their own lives.
Museworld was published one chapter a day, every day, in 2023. The first chapter was posted on Jan. 1st, and the last on Dec. 31st. The chapters are short—most are just a few hundred words each—and perfect for reading during a short break. With such a brutal publishing schedule, some chapters are lower quality than others, but taken as a whole, the story is very satisfying.
So give it a shot. Maybe spend 2025 reading Museworld, one chapter a day, as it was intended.
