In the distant future entities known as ‘puppets’, biologically grown beings that look and act like humans but lack a soul or consciousness, have been developed, making them prime subjects for anything considered immoral or cruel, including gladiator-style battles to the death. Julius, the current emperor, has grown desensitized and bored with these fights and is searching for something new that scratches the same itch. Meanwhile, four puppets, Dee, Sea, Yu and Zet, are looking for a way to escape their predicament. A meeting between these two parties is inevitable, but the results of such an encounter might bring into question the fundamentals of reality itself!
