'The Baron of Lilacs' was the esteemed title given to the greatest poet of the Meiji Period.

Now it's simply used as a beloved moniker for the street-artist who leaves his flowery words upon the bronze walls of the great steam Capital.

'Agreste' was a name he had chosen upon his arrival. To have been a great poet, now standing under a permanent red haze, was the greatest gift he could ask for. No matter the setting, Agreste had determined himself to never summon a frown upon someone's expression ever again.

When he meets with a woman whose words he falls in love with, he's torn between two identities. As he had grown to appreciate the works of the playwright Theresia Hayes, so too has she grown to love his words.

The only problem is that the one her eyes are set upon is not Agreste, but his moniker; his falsified persona - 'The Baron of Lilacs'.
