Issachar was once a land full of magic. Mages of all abilities worked together to help the country prosper. The peace was short lived. With the magic came great power, and while many used that power for good, there were those who wished to use it for greater gain. While the monarchy faltered, trying to solve the problem peacefully, the Church swept in and quelched the fighting with extreme force. Faith was lost in the rulers and they were easily overthrown by the Church. The land found itself with a new governing power and all magic was labeled as something dark and evil. Centuries later, the gears of the world are starting to shift, and the fate of the new balance is in the hands of the newest generation.
