A young man wakes up to find himself inside the body of a college student named Arthur Barnaby, a resident of a strange and fantastical world that seems to be peaceful at the surface, yet contains some dark secrets that have yet to be dug up.

As he attempts to integrate himself in this unfamiliar world, Arthur meets a young woman named Louise Elmstone, a fellow student at his college, who perhaps knows more than she lets on regarding the secrets surrounding this world.
