A Medic's Distraction

Nile Eveston had completed his medical certification, and was on his way to his first deployment as an medical officer for the air force, when his life was cut short trying to save the life of a child. Or rather, Nile's life should have ended, but when his eyes opened he was being held by a woman speaking a language he didn't know, surrounded by men he didn't recognize. Slowly, Nile, now Izuki the farm-son, discovers the world he was reborn into has magic. Furthermore, his mother is the chief medic of a small village, maintaining the health of the garrison that protects the villagers from any thieves or mutant creatures prowling around. Finding the knowledge of his past life endowed him with the knowledge needed to become an excellent medic himself, Izuki decides to follow in his mother's footsteps, unware of the attention he has gained from the nation's youngest princess as he experiments with otherworldly magic he once only dreamed of.
